I am the CEO of an Italian Healthcare & diagnostic company that offers a variety of medical tests, including genetic, sugar and food inflammation tests. We sell our proprietary technology and testing kits into pharmacies across Europe and then analyze the tests carried out in our labs.

We initially hired EMC to help us generate B2B leads and develop a content marketing strategy. We wanted to expand into the Spanish market but we lacked distribution channels and brand awareness in Spain.

We have started a new project with them, beginning with the launch of our B2C Ecommerce Platform in Europe. They are working on the design & development of our platform website and defining the entire marketing path for this segment of the market.

I was a former colleague of the CEO of EMC in Germany, at Bertelsmann, a company in the publishing sector.

They were in charge of defining the marketing strategy needed to reach the pharmacies. They devised a series of growth strategies and generated a content marketing strategy that worked very well. They also developed all the necessary assets to improve our traffic and conversions.

We mainly spoke with the Project Manager assigned to us, and exchanged emails with her.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We developed a distribution channel of 58 pharmacies in Spain, thanks to EMC´s B2B lead generation and positioning strategies.

Very smooth and fast response

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are expert consultants and present very realistic scenarios. They advised us in an honest way and without creating unrealistic expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are still many areas to improve. We have only just started targeting the B2C segment of the market directly, which is a totally new element of our business model and we have to continue with EMC to develop our marketing strategy in this area. So far, so good

I am the head of Digital marketing for the brand Maksu. We are a High-end international fashion brand, with physical stores worldwide. The brand recently entered the online world of ecommerce. We believe in sustainable fashion.

We launched an online store around a year ago, and we encountered a lot of issues with our sales funnel. We weren't sure how to make it work and we had difficulty tracking data and making the right decisions. This was also our first time launching digital campaigns, and we weren't sure what strategies to execute or how to execute them. We wanted to create a digital footprint, to drive traffic to the physical store and boost our e-commerce sales.

I was previously working for another fashion brand, and we chose to hire EMCs services. Excuse Me Captain offered a 360 digital strategy, and combined Strategic Consulting with Marketing. EMC has always been fast and reliable.

They have defined and executed the organic and paid media acquisition strategy for the Spanish market. We work closely with them as online sales is an area of the company that we look at very closely. They run multiple tests every month, always under an A/B testing methodology, to improve results on a monthly basis.

We work with a project manager of the team who acts as a link between the SEO manager, the SEM manager and the Web Analytics manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We saw a lot more organic traffic and paid traffic to the new online store, and this allowed us to grow our community of sustainable fashion consumers. We now have clients who are famous influencers that regularly visit our stores. In the past few months is where we have really started to pick up growth based on the strategies of Excuse Me Captain. Between April and May 2021 our sales have doubled.

They´ve always been professional with meetings and providing feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They offer a 360 strategic marketing consulting process, and not just implementation. For me, this separates them from other agencies we have worked with in the past.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are happy with the work so far, but we will be growing our number of physical and online stores in US and Europe, and we are confident that they will have the skills to continue helping us in our growth.

We had a very high Cost per Lead and wanted to reduce our costs. We started with Google Ads with EMC and they managed to reduce our CPL costs significantly. We then hired them for our SEO and Content Marketing, and they have also succeeded in these areas. We wanted to increase our volume of leads and reduce the Cost per Lead. Our target was to improve our performance across both Paid Ads and SEO, and to find an agency with expertise to help us redesign our funnel.

We were previously working with another agency and we suspected that the results they were giving us were not good enough. We knew about Excuse Me Captain because they worked in one of our company's office spaces. We showed them our results at the time and they were quickly able to diagnose our problems and recommend solutions to problems the first agency was unable to solve.

They started out with providing SEM services and then continued with the SEO strategy when they realized that our business was not positioning for the keywords that generated the greatest value. They performed an initial audit to identify problems and solutions, ranging from technical aspects such as loading speed times to usability and CRO elements, so as to improve conversion within the website. They also devised a content marketing strategy to make our Blog more relevant. The SEO services they then provided were comprehensive and detailed.

EMC have assigned a Project Manager to manage the relationship between our Marketing team and the User Acquisition experts within EMC. This is our point of contact. They also use Google Data Studio for reporting with clients and Slack to interact with us.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They actually reduced the CPL by 300%, and we were pretty shocked at how their knowledge of Google Ads was able to achieve these results. Our Conversion rate also increased by 22% once they applied a new funnel. When they did our SEO audit, they pointed out all the problems in the ranking and worked with our marketing team to deliver a stronger result.

Their workflow has been good and fast.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are really knowledgeable and skilled on acquisition. They always respond quickly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes, we need to generate more business and we are using some additional channels to do this.

I am the Operations Manager of a company specialized in debt relief for individuals and companies who are struggling with managing their debts. The company is based in Madrid.

We were having a lot of difficulty generating leads for the business when we were starting out. Without high quality leads we would not be able to sell our services. We hired the team to advise on the construction of a new website, to define a conversion funnel, to get us established and increase the possibility of generating leads.

We requested a new website that was able to compete with top competitors and capable of converting visitors into potential customers for our business. We wanted the website to rank high in Google, especially for the keywords that our potential customers were likely to search for. It is a very competitive market, considering the thousands of law firms in the country who also solve these sorts of problems for their clients. We also wanted to be able to direct ads to a page which was visually appealing to any user or visitor.

We worked with the CEO Juanma as well as several User Acquisition experts within the team across SEO, Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We set the standard high in terms of the number of leads we wanted because we are adopting quite an ambitious approach to growth, and wanted to grow to a team of 20 salespeople in our first year. Excuse Me Captain was consistently able to provide us with the leads we needed to grow our sales team, and we even had to stop lead generation at one point, because we had so many leads to handle. We were also very happy with the outcome of our website. From a design perspective, it's what we hoped for and attracts a lot of visitors.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was there to answer technical questions whenever we wanted to improve the feedback loop between our sales team and their marketing work. They also gave guidance to our social media manager, which was helpful to get him posting more relevant content. All communication was fluid through channels like Slack and Google Meets. The team has been very easy to work with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their know-how is impressive. It was rarely the case that they weren't able to answer a question that we put to them. They were proactive when implementing new marketing strategies. They committed to our project and delivered results. A lot of their estimations about lead generation capacity also turned out to be accurate, so analytically we would rate them highly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Of course, we always want more leads, and we take each month as it comes. For now we are meeting our targets and we are happy.
