I’m a master trainer at Exclusive Dog Training, a dog training company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Excellis IT?

I hired Excellis to build my website and customize my CMS via WordPress. 

What was the scope of their involvement?

Excellis has developed by website and CMS. They’ve also optimized my videos by troubleshooting them with plug-ins so that I can customize them at the top of my page. As far as  SEO is concerned, I’ve used Ahrefs to analyze my website and identify issues. 

Excellis has then worked on orphaned pages, disavowed links, and other advanced technical SEO work that I can’t do on my own. Their goal is to bring my website grade to 100% from 95%, so their tasks also include improving my page speed and reducing image sizes properly. 

What is the team composition?

We work with two people from Excellis, including Sourav (Senior Operations Manager). He’s my main point of contact. 

How did you come to work with Excellis IT?

Excellis was a referral to me. I knew of Sourav from the work he did before, and that attracted me to working with Excellis. In other words, I trusted Excellis because of him. 

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested around $2,000–$3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around June 2021, and the engagement is ongoing. 

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

To measure success, I check my site score. I also receive a full report from Ahrefs. So far, my site score is 100% — thanks to Excellis’ efforts. I’ve also acquired 10 new referral domains pointing to my page. In other words, people are citing my website because it’s becoming more popular on searches.

For instance, I have a 3,000-word Rottweiler article that gets about 800 clicks per month. After optimizing that article, we’ve received a report saying that 10 new domains are linking to my website. This means that my website is sending friendly signals to Google. This is good because I’ve never previously had that many domains linking to my website in just one day. 

How did Excellis IT perform from a project management standpoint?

Excellis manages the project well. The team is proactive in sending me messages via emails or calls. They dedicate time to doing tasks, and they’re highly communicative. Moreover, there’s never a time when I get nervous or feel that I can’t trust them — I always know that I can trust their team. 

As a result, whenever I give them access to my website via Google Search Console, I fully trust them not to take my business away. They’re not going to bring it down; they’re the real deal. To communicate, we mainly use video conferences or phone calls via FaceTime or Skype. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sourav is extremely personable. He never cuts me off, and I can tell that he actively listens to me. Moreover, they’re also great when it comes to technical coding. I’m not a coder, but I know enough to know if they’re using Dreamweaver or other tools. Essentially, the team does the code from scratch. They truly know what they’re doing. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. They’ve already made everything look good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re an American company, know that East Indian designs and ideas are culturally different from what you might expect. As a result, you should be extremely clear about what you want when it comes to your website. Communicate everything you want, and don’t assume that they can read your mind from a design standpoint.

Our website was dated and didn't reflect our services and needed to be upgraded to appeal to our target market and allow us to reach more customers with better marketing platforms and bundling our services

We received emails regarding the vendors services and answered a phone from their project manager and had a conversation based around our needs and discussed the vendors offering and we decided it was a good fit for us

We had initial discussions about what our needs were and we talked about other projects the vendor had completed and after reviewing some of the sites decided on a template that worked for us. We then provided the content and details for transferring the hosting from our previous provider

A project manager was the first point of contact shortly followed by an account manager who worked with 2 other technicians and design type staff

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After going live only a short few days ago its still too early to provide any creditable feed back but we love the new design and look forward to continued improvements working with the vendor and their team

Our experience with Mark the project manager was pleasant and friendly and later our communication with Allen was always professional but friendly and relaxed with all of our questions and requests met with prompt and clear responses either via email or a phone call

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have delivered a professional-looking site and now provide us with the confidence to administer it ourselves. Given the knowledge that if we have any issues they are there to provide us with support we need

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only criticism we have is when we initially looked at templates some of the content was not in English but they were very quick to make the changes we requested
