NEXON is a market leader in the payroll and HR software segment. I am the product marketing manager of the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Exalt Interactive?

We introduced our native mobile calculator application in 2011, and have updated it in 2016 in order to conform to new regulations and to give the software a facelift. We needed a new design, user experience, and functionalities, so we searched for service providers that could help us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The leader of their design team acted as our contact. Exalt Interactive performed interviews with five application users, and we also reviewed the feedback received on the app store, creating a new concept as a result.

How did you come to work with Exalt Interactive?

Exalt Interactive had worked for us previously in creating a new design for our HR software, and we were satisfied with them. We appreciated their ability to meet deadlines, as well as the quality of the work.

How much have you invested with Exalt Interactive?

The cost of Exalt Interactive's work was around $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Exalt Interactive at the end of October 2016 for our mobile application. The design was completed by the end of December.

We have started working on a new web calculator using Exalt Interactive. They will be responsible for its design.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The output of Exalt Interactive's work can be checked by downloading our mobile application from Google Play or from Apple's App Store. We received feedback from customers and colleagues. Most of them were satisfied with the new design and user interface, but there were also a few people who preferred our previous version.

How did Exalt Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

Exalt Interactive delivered the outcomes on time. They have remained reachable whenever we had a question about the design, providing a response within two days at most. The collaboration was quite good. We mainly used email for communication. There was a project kickoff meeting, and I took part in some of our customer interviews.

What did you find most impressive about Exalt Interactive?

Exalt Interactive always delivered work on time, unlike many of our other suppliers. We liked the output and had the ability to change the design if we wanted to.

Are there any areas Exalt Interactive could improve?

The initial design was quite good, but we did identify elements that could be improved, according to our experience. Exalt Interactive was willing to make those changes.
