We saw a definite increase in traffic volume during the launch month. Feedback and response to the site has been overwhelminingly positive with a number of Architectural and Design practices requesting Evolut's details to assist in building their site.

We found the project mnagament team at Evolut to be extremely responsive and quick to solve any issue we had. All milestones were met to ensure our launch date was on time and launched smoothly with no issues or technical problems. The team ensured any front end design changes and requests could be accommodated, or ensured that they clearly explained why requests would not be possible. Additionally they helpfully addressed any questions we had, especially the many queries we bombarded them with regarding the backend and ongoing maintenance.

We had a goal launch date, so we started with the end in mind:

Ben set up a timeline for both parties, i.e., he told us when we needed to have content to him by so that he could be at the necessary stages along the way to meet the deadlines.

In a word, YES. Was it 'perfect' for the suggested timeline? Not quite, but I think it would be some kind of miracle if a company pulls off the perfect rollout!! It's not always in their control. We sometimes needed more time to pull content together, and Ben's team occasionally took a fraction longer on a project BECAUSE they were going beyond our expectations. They devised far better ways to display our content than we ever could. We always knew if a section of the timeline was taking longer than expected and why.

What challenge were you trying to address with Evolut?
I needed to create a website that fit my niche requirements.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Evolut created my website from scratch. I had an idea of the site's flow and a specific writing system that I wanted them to build from scratch as well. The team built that as I described and added the UX and UI design. I required Evolut to develop my site on WordPress.
My site wasn't a standalone shopping site. The site featured businesses and their products, and users could leave reviews for each of those businesses' products. I also requested that Evolut build the site in a way that would allow me to add new businesses or the business owners to add themselves.
What is the team composition?
I only worked with Ben (Founder).
How did you come to work with Evolut?
I found Evolut through a referral agency. I searched through many referral agencies to find a service provider and went through a tender process, interviewing 4–5 different companies before selecting Evolut. How much have you invested with them?
My spending was in the range of $10,000–$50,000 AUD (approximately $6,700–$34,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
I worked with Evolut from October 2023–February 2024. Although the project is completed, I reach out to Ben whenever I have questions.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Evolut created the site's flow and appearance, taking my basic but detailed requirements and turning them into something friendly for UX. Since we launched the site, we've had about 120 businesses featured and 300–400 products. I'm currently working on my marketing to increase reviews, and we have around 20 reviews for chocolate bars at the moment.
Evolut built the site amazingly, and users told me it worked well. We could feature businesses and products, and I was pretty happy with the site's functionality.
How did Evolut perform from a project management standpoint?
Evolut's communication was excellent. We communicated regularly via email, Zoom, and Google Meet. We also had a running spreadsheet with my list of requirements, and Evolut updated the file when they completed a task for me to review and approve. As we reached the end when the website was built, and I was checking for bugs, I added a line to the spreadsheet to flag issues, and Evolut updated when they had actioned or needed more information.
Evolut's project management was transparent, and I knew when the team had completed a task and fixed an issue. The team responded quickly throughout the entire engagement, even when no adjustments were required to the site. I had high and detailed requirements, and Evolut was detailed in fixing specific things and let me know if something would cost more or was out of their capabilities. Evolut was transparent throughout the project, and I knew when to make decisions. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Ben did a fantastic job listening to my requirements and learning about my business. He applied my input to my requirements and did an excellent job.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Before selecting a service provider, most of the companies I interviewed said they could do my project and gave me a quote. However, most of these companies said they needed to make changes to my requirements, whereas Evolut learned what my business was and took the time to understand what I wanted out of the site. Evolut also recommended the best work approach, which set them apart from other competitors.
Additionally, throughout the engagement, the team was clear, and anytime they had a hiccup or an issue, they asked me if they could make the necessary adjustments.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything Evolut could improve.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I suggest learning what you want from your website and business when talking to Evolut so they can understand your business. This way, the team can determine the best way to set your site's UX and design.

Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m the marketing manager at Finlease, a commercial asset finance brokerage in Australia.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Evolut? We had a dated website, and its UX/UI wasn't modern or user-friendly. We knew we were not looking strong anymore from a brand positioning point of view. We needed a company to design and develop a new website that would help us stand out in the corporate banking environment.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement? Evolut has designed and developed a brand-new Wix website for us and handled the HubSpot CRM integration. They’ve also integrated features such as Intercom for chatbots into our website. The technologies they’ve used in the project include Adobe and Figma.
What is the team composition? We’ve worked with Ben (Founder), Alex (Technology Lead), a designer, and another teammate who was in charge of the AI work.
How did you come to work with Evolut? I found Evolut through a referral. I chose them for this project because they have extensive backgrounds in working with other finance and banking companies, which gave me a level of comfort. This was important because our customer journey can get quite complex, and our competitor space is aggressive.
How much have you invested with them? We’ve spent around $70,000 AUD (approximately $47,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in January 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? The site is now live, but I have not advertised it to anybody yet, not even the internal staff. Within a week of the site’s soft launch, I had already seen increased traction and conversion, and I was shocked by the organic jump in engagement. Our bounce rate and even the type of inquiries we’re receiving have also improved.
In terms of the site’s backend, we’re definitely enjoying an improvement in the site’s ease of use and functionality. Our forms are integrated into HubSpot, so we can see where all the leads are coming from. We also don’t have to meddle too much with anything on the backend — a lot of our manual work has been streamlined by Evolut’s integrations. They’ve also made excellent suggestions for other things they could implement on the site for us — things we didn’t even know were possible before.
Overall, we’ve definitely seen huge improvements in our site’s functionality, ease of use, leads, and conversions, which are my main measures of success.
How did Evolut perform from a project management standpoint? The Evolut team has performed well in terms of project management. They’re extremely organized, always ahead of the ball, and incredibly communicative. They always keep us up to date, which I appreciate since I’m always busy and sometimes fall behind our schedule. They’re always eager to assist me in keeping the project on track.
We primarily communicate through Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. I have met them once in person, and I’m actually meeting up with them again next week. We use Google Sheets and ClickUp internally for project management, so we just integrated the Evolut team there.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? I would like to give a shout-out to Ben. He's gone above and beyond in assisting us and getting us up and running. He’s gone the extra mile with all the ad hoc work that has come up throughout the project. He’s always willing to hold our hand, walk us through each step of the process, and support us through different challenges.
His support has been hugely beneficial to us — I could be as annoying as I wanted, and he would still look after me. Even as we pivoted or changed the initial scope, he has been incredibly patient, flexible, and communicative and brought a lot of expertise to the table for us.
What did you find most impressive about them? Evolut brought fresh, new ideas to the table. I really appreciate how seamless they’ve made all integrations for us and how transparent and professional they’ve been with respect to our meetings and deadlines. During the early phase, they really took the time to understand the unique needs and goals of our business in order to deliver a site that matched.
Overall, I’m hugely impressed with their great insights and ideas, communication style, organized processes, and extensive knowledge and level of expertise in our industry.
Are there any areas they could improve? No, I don’t think there’s anything they could do better. They have been a great crew.
Do you have any advice for potential customers? It’s important to go into the engagement with a clear vision of what you’re looking for but also be open to the team’s suggestions and insights. They will throw a lot of ideas your way that perhaps you hadn’t considered, and it’s important to remember that they are a team of people who know a lot more in this area and have the refined skills needed to make your project successful.

We had a kick-off meeting with Evolut to discuss our goals and objectives and from there the team conducted individual customer journey workshops with different business units. Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I think the only feedback i'd give is regarding the timeline... While the team did their best to forecast how long things would take I think there was pressure from different clients that caused our project to have delays. We appreciate this is difficult but if I were to change anything it would be that the delivery dates stayed consistent from project planning stages.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CMO of LAVO. We’re a hydrogen technology company that’s using green hydrogen to power homes, barbecues, and bicycles. It’s a bit like hydrogen storage.

What challenge were you trying to address with Evolut?
We launched the company and our first product in November 2020. We went to Evolut to help us build a fully interactive e-commerce website. Essentially, we were not only launching our brand and product but were also establishing the ability to take payments and preorders on the website for customers both in Australia and internationally.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Evolut provided end-to-end website design, structure, and strategy. We came to them with our brand. The team at Evolut looked at how they’d structure the website, how it’d interact with customers, and what content we’d put on there. We supplied the information, and they assisted us in how we manage that information. It was a very logical flow that was visually appealing for the customers.
They utilized WordPress as the basic technology of the CMS. Their team also set it up for all the tagging, Google Analytics, and things like that. They took the whole responsibility of how we’d move forward with our future SEO and SEM. Evolut looked at it both from the customer experience and through marketing analytics.
Additionally, they integrated our payment system with BigCommerce, Stripe, and HubSpot. Their team worked to ensure the website is able to integrate those forms and have a seamless flow so when customers went from preordering to making a payment, they’d get seamless emails as a result.
What is the team composition?
We work primarily with Ben (Founder) and Carl (Director of Design Thinking). Other members of my internal team worked more closely with their developers and designers.
How did you come to work with Evolut?
Evolut was recommended to us by the agency we had worked with. Their team had previously worked with Evolut. Naturally, we did a first round of interviews and discussions. A couple of things really stood out to us from those.
Ben’s experience showed that he had an amazing ability from an agency side to be creative and execute. But then he also understands the business problem. He possessed that balance between providing a great customer experience and being creative with the ability to meet the business needs of commercial reality.
The engagement started in August 2020. The website went live in November 2020. However, we’ve kept them on to help with some of our digital marketing and SEO as well as to handle maintenance and management. We’re about to start a new project for new microsites, they’ll be an extension of our first website.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The standard bounce rate and dwell time have been within three minutes so people are really engaging with the site. We have a very low bounce rate so people are generally scrolling through the first page or go to multiple pages. One of our lead indicators is that we have about a 180-second dwell time.
Additionally, we’ve had a great flow in sales. We’ve had $7 million worth of preorders since we went live. This is far exceeding our expectations and targets. The fact that it flowed and worked well without any errors is a win.
How did Evolut perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication is fantastic, and they consistently meet deadlines. Our teams hold regular weekly meetings through Teams. Evolut is very responsive and aware of the deadlines. Their team goes above and beyond to hit them. As we were approaching the launch, they worked very effectively leading up to it. They were really a part of the team. Evolut understood the criticality of the go-live date and achieved that date extremely well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a great balance of being both commercial and creative. They’ve got the technical expertise but they really go beyond with the mix of both design and commercial understanding so we can really build something that’ll achieve the desired outcome of the business. They worked with us through that.
Additionally, we're impressed with their strategy. They didn’t intend to build a site that’d be demolished in a couple of years’ time. Their team is being scalable so they’ll reuse the work that they’ve done previously to build. They don’t have to restart. This shows that they’re being very careful with our money as well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything. We had such a tight deadline and a great outcome. Given all the circumstances we were operating in such as COVID-19, the quick turnaround time, and the physical distance, they did an exceptional job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Provide them with as much information as possible. Go back to the basics of what your business is trying to achieve. Evaluate the purpose of your business and be very clear on what you want your brand to stand for.

A friend recommended Evolut. We needed to get the project done quickly, so we asked to get a hold of them. I rang them and they came around later that day. We talked about what we needed to have done and where we wanted to be.

What they put together was brilliant. The work was high-quality and done in a short time frame. The website was fantastic. Anyone that looked at the website gave positive feedback. Even the manufacturers who make our products said the website was outstanding.
