Paspartoo is developing our multi-seller marketplace using Magento 2 based on existing proprietary code and third-party extensions. This involves delivering two B2C e-commerce sites and one B2B Magento backend platform. We’ve provided designs for the websites, and they’ve used that in building the sites and providing suggestions as issues come up.
As we tested Paspartoo’s work, our project manager provided tutorials so we could learn new features and add content. They’ve also helped us with third-party integrations, such as payment processors, a tax calculations solution, and a post-purchase tracking and returns management solution. They’re supporting our team as we prepare to launch our e-commerce sites.

Paspartoo has taken on a large and complicated e-commerce development project. We’re happy with what they’ve provided and the progress they’ve made in a fairly short time.
How did Paspartoo perform from a project management standpoint?
Paspartoo is super responsive and efficient — their timelines and deliverables are expedient and reasonable. They have a lot to juggle, but they’re always meeting deadlines. Our project manager has adapted to our communication style and preferences for tracking work. We communicate through Slack and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Paspartoo is super flexible. They’ve given us their knowledge and expertise in building Magento e-commerce websites. The multi-seller functionality has made this project different and more difficult than a traditional e-commerce platform. Despise that, they’ve remained accommodating and seen our goals from a high level to understand what we’re trying to do.
We’ve had a few pivots because we’re trying a new model. Nonetheless, Paspartoo remains open to pivoting on features and design elements if we need to improve our UI/UX. They’re easily adaptable, and we’ve never had an issue where they can’t understand our vision.
Paspartoo doesn’t push for a certain way to do the project. They’ve studied our goals and adapted existing technologies to fulfill our needs.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of an electric scooter company. We sell directly to the consumer through an e-commerce site.

What challenges were you trying to address with Paspartoo?
We hired them to make adjustments to our existing Shopify website. I had created the website on my own, but I didn’t have strong enough technical expertise to customize it myself. Our goal was to improve the user experience.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I took them through our existing website and shared my ideas for how I wanted to improve the UX design. They shared some examples of what we could do. They presented a proposal, and we made a few adjustments before they began working on the actual site. They set up the website so that it would be easy for us to manage the theme of the new design on our own through Shopify.
What is the team composition?
Alex (Senior Project Manager) was my main point of contact, but he had another person that did some coding.
How did you come to work with Paspartoo?
I think I found them through UpWork.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent about $2,000–$3,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in the fall of 2019. We’ve completed this project, but I’m planning on hiring them again for another project. They’ve provided multiple updates since we launched their UX design.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve increased our business by about 300%. However, I wouldn’t attribute that completely to their work, though having a clean, user-friendly website is helpful. The shopability of the site is great. It’s easy for customers to find the right scooter for their needs.
How did Paspartoo perform from a project management standpoint?
My expectations were met. They performed similarly to other third-party vendors I’ve worked with. However, it was slower than when we do projects in-house.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was impressed with the level of care they put into the design. They know where their strengths are as well, so they wouldn’t take on tasks that they didn’t feel equipped to.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be nice to have them take care of all of my web development needs. However, they’re specifically focused on UX/UI design.

Before the work begins, make sure you’ve agreed on how the project is going to go and what is expected.
