I own Ohso! Design, a creative marketing and web design company located in Long Beach, California. We build project teams for small and large businesses in our area.

I used to teach web design. I wrote code and did SEO before social media existed. Over time, the technology got more complex and we wanted a specialist to help us with AdWords and other campaigns.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Everett Andrew is one of our trusted vendors. We originally brought them on to work with a law school client of ours. They originally worked on AdWords, but the scope of their role has grown. They’ve done a series of landing pages for different campaigns, and we’re in the process of expanding their participation in a series of retargeting campaigns.

What is the team composition?

There are multiple people on the team, but Mark (President, Everett Andrew Marketing) is my main point of contact. He’s very thoughtful and responsive. The other members of the team provide monthly reporting and some of the production work.

How did you come to work with Everett Andrew Marketing?

We used several sources to build a list of potential candidates for the original project. We asked each of them a series of questions; ultimately, we knew that Mark’s company was the right choice, based on their really great communication skills.

We started working together around June 2014. Our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve really optimized the process and the percentage of qualified leads has increased. We’ve seen at least a 50% drop in cost per conversion, which is huge. As cost per click services inflate their prices, we’re honing in on a more qualified audience. Our client is very pleased with the numbers.

How did Everett Andrew Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. Mark’s communication skills are off the charts. He is friendly, always positive, and never defensive. Most of our communication is through email, and rarely by phone. Out of all the vendors I deal with, he is the most upfront. He hides nothing and is always ready to answer questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Once, when a client was worried about a high bounce rate on a landing page, Mark provided a little movie with answers to the client’s questions. He showed the positive number of calls and responses around that particular page, proving that there was enough information for a client to stop there and make a call. His transparency lets us diffuse challenging situations like that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Other teams start to go away from the principal as they grow. Mark checks in regularly with status reports for the client. He brings his team members in and lets them contribute. They can explain what is happening behind the scenes.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, even basic ones. They’ll take time to explain things and shepherd you through the process without making you feel unintelligent.
