Delivering Serious ROI With a Full-Scale Inbound Marketing Strategy and the HubSpot CRM
Binsfeld Engineering had done their due diligence. They knew they needed a CRM, and they’d decided inbound marketing was the best way to go. HubSpot was a natural fit. But, they’d never used the tool before, and they were brand new to inbound marketing. They needed to build a complete inbound marketing strategy on a new CRM. Evenbound had the industry experience and the HubSpot savvy to help.
Following the implementation of our comprehensive digital marketing strategy and the HubSpot CRM, Binsfeld Engineering has seen an 82% increase in total sessions, 87% increase in organic traffic, 172% increase in new contacts, and 10 new customers in this first quarter alone.
Binsfeld Engineering is seeing significantly more of the right traffic. Conversion tools are working to convert that traffic into leads and provide the Binsfeld Engineering team the information they need to close them. Construction Company Exceeds Yearly Goals in One Quarter with Inbound Marketing
At the start of 2020, we set goals to grow Zeeland Lumber & Supply’s web traffic to 10k visitors per month, and increase their lead generation to 62 new contacts per month. What followed was a marketing strategy designed to reach those SMART growth goals.
In Q2 alone, Zeeland Lumber & Supply saw a 70% increase in form submissions, 446 new contacts, and traffic skyrocketing to more than 13,000 sessions per month on average.
Our work with the Zeeland Lumber & Supply team during this time boosted their traffic and lead conversion numbers beyond their goals, despite the global pandemic. Our content marketing strategy worked to deliver a massive increase in traffic — well over their yearly goal of 10k sessions.

In January of 2020, following Vanguard’s HubSpot onboarding, we launched a full-fledged sales enablement initiative. I am the manager of technology and my responsibilities include making sure all computer systems and servers are secure, stable providing the company with a dependable work environment using best practices. I am also responsible for driving the marketing strategy, planning, and execution across all systems.
For what projects/services did your company hire Evenbound, and what were your goals?
We hired Evenbound to help optimize our Google AdWords account and help us optimize our SEO. Our goals were to get more AdWord conversions with less budget while increasing our organic search results.
How did you select Evenbound and what were the deciding factors?
I found Evenbound through various Google searches. The deciding factors were that they had to have a Google Certified Google AdWord person on staff. Evenbounds website and branding met and exceeded my standards of design (I was planning on using them for some redesign help so this was a strong consideration). They took me to lunch and I had a pretty amazing sandwich and pickle.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We created a monthly retainer and identified what work we should start with that was easy to execute and deliver a high value first. We started with our AdWord account and doing A/B testing.
We also came up with a strategy for our SEO and the steps we need to work on to help improve with the same concept of low effort and high value first. We moved to email strategy and content, setting up Google Shopping account, we are in the process of creating an automated metadata update across our systems.
I don't have the time to list everything we've been working on and the steps. It's a lot and I'm doing this much to help Spencer and the Evenbound team out because they're helping us out and yeah that's what you do.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Spencer has been our Account Manager/Rep/Coordinator or whatever title you call him (I call him dude) and taking point because of the type of work we've been doing. Ben has been great and has one of the most challenging jobs of optimizing our SEO. Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have steadily been increasing our revenue and new users using half our budget. The budget we were using for AdWords along has been able to pay for Evenbounds services while increasing our metrics across the board. Sales have been increasing at least 10% per month for the last 6 months.
We had a 5 day 4th of July free shipping sale that had a 156% lift in sales year over year with a 30% increase in sales year over year. July 2020 was the best July sales in the history of the company.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Evenbound's project management style is to communicate regularly, create action items, and do a quick check a few days before our next meeting to give us a chance to complete some tasks on our end. They use Google Suite (so do we so that works) and email which works for me. By communicating on a regular cadence it's hard to get off the rails too far and keeps projects moving.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their passion for what they do stands out. I find that passionate people do the best work giving their best efforts.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Nothing any different from any other agency I've ever worked with. People get better, demands increase, and timelines get tighter. Good talent tries to do more with fewer people and then comes growth.
What happens when there's growth is that the new person comes on board and then there is project inertia where the best person has to slow down to bring the new person up to speed. Production goes down and timelines get stupid and projects start suffering.
I would say their area for improvement is to stay in front of their workload and either don't take on so much new work or hire top talent sooner giving staff 10% overhead to avoid burnout.

We hired Evenbound to build and manage our digital marketing function from the ground up.

We wanted to increase customers resulting from digital marketing efforts with a focus on developing a world-class website to rank highly on search engines.

We interviewed many freelancers who would each perform parts of what an agency like Evenbound handles all in house. We worked with many freelancers to perform these functions over the years but it was very management intensive and did not produce the best results. Working with an agency like Evenbound is great because they handle all of the aspects of digital marketing in house.

They developed our website and built a digital marketing strategy including monthly deliverables.

Since Evenbound joined the engagement, revenue and new user sign-ups have increased steadily while only costing half of the previous ad budget. That breaks down to at least a 10% increase in sales for the last six months. A passionate group, they keep projects moving and put their best foot forward.
