British Airways App
Client Requirements
British Airways wanted to enable its customers to book their tickets using the mobile app using native UI and complete the booking in less than 3 minutes. This came as a massive challenge for the development team considering the complex ticket booking in direct/indirect flights, partner airlines, multiple airports etc.
Solution By Evangelist Apps
The development team took this challenge and came up with a very sleek UX just for this purpose. After a lot of optimisation in the backend, the iOS team incorporated the very immersive UX keeping the customers engaged in the booking process. The result came out after about 5 months when the team delivered this project and set a benchmark for the aviation industry. It has been more than 7 years, and the customers still use this journey to book flight tickets from their iOS app.

Hastens Retail App
Client Requirements
Hastens bed is a leading brand in manufacturing luxury beds for their customers. The major challenges set forward were to manage and update their existing native iOS apps, create pre-orders, sales-orders, update payments, modify the order etc. Store users wanted to be able to search the customer along with the pre-orders and sales orders. The distribution mechanism of the app was slow and strenuous.
Solution by Evangelist Apps
All these were made possible in a matter of 3 months and we were able to satisfy the customers. We enabled the app to be distributed via 'Unlisted App Store' mode which is quite new from Apple. This allows the store users to download and update the app via the public-facing App Store while the app is not available for the general users.
Along with this came the compatibility of the iPhone application with the iPad as well.

Hastens Partner App
Client Requirements
Hastens bed is a leading brand in manufacturing luxury beds for their customers. Six generations of master craftsmen have led Hastens to produce world-class beds and change the way people sleep. A challenge was set out to build a brand new native iOS application for the partners who could perform the tasks of purchasing beds and accessories for their consumers.
Solution by Evangelist Apps
The team set its eye on using the latest tool kit from Apple i.e. SwiftUI and the composable architecture and also the capability to run the app on Apple MacBook M1. Working with the design team we built a very intuitive and modern UX that was capable of getting the due attention of its partners.
The development of this app is underway.

KLM 'Movies & More'
Client Requirements
KLM airlines allow the booking of tickets online and also exposes the in-flight-entertainment content available during a flight from the flight booking page. These include multimedia content like Movies onboard, Music, TV episodes etc but these are present deep inside their website and passengers don’t have an easy way to access the content available on board.
Solution By Evangelist Apps
We created an iPhone and iPad app for KLM to surface this information in a very effective way. This app includes playback of movie trailers from content delivery networks (amazon S3) using Apple’s Adaptive Bit-Rate Streaming (ABRS).

British Gas App
British Gas wanted to give an easy way for its customers to submit meter readings, View their monthly direct debit, tariffs, consumptions etc. To acter to its service and insurance customers like boiler breakdown, it wanted an easy way for its customers to book an appointment and manage bookings.
British Gas mobile app was built in a record time of 3 months from the grounds up and has helped its customers to perform these activities in the most intuitive and user-friendly way

Air France in-flight entertainment app
Air France wanted to keep their crew members and ground staff up to speed with the different in-flight entertainment available on board. This was very important to help and guide their loyal passengers with the different media available. To achieve this, we built an enterprise iPad app that can be downloaded by the staff.

Mobile Energy App
Mobile energy wanted to create a unique proposition for their younger customers who want to do all their day to day operations like submitting meter reads, view energy consumption, split bills among roommates, download bills, contact customer centres etc. This app facilitates users to pay their bills, book an engineer etc. The biggest challenge for this was to backward integrate this app to talk to legacy backend systems based on Siebel, SAP and other proprietary applications running on servers. Mobile energy app was built in 4 months and was ranked as the third most popular app under Utilities category in AppStore.

Freeads
Freeads is in the business of allowing customers to buy/sell items/services online for UK markets. They wanted to build a Mobile app to increase their customer base and thereby increase business. We have developed two versions of this app for iPhone and Android, creating a simple interface for smartphone users to sell their items by posting an advert through the app. This app has the capability to post an advert, display the posted and saved ads and also shows the conversation or messages between buyer and seller. Freeads app also uses google analytics and push notifications.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the digital transformation lead for a furniture company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Evangelist Apps?
We hired Evangelist Apps to provide mobile app development services. We have extremely demanding customers, so everything we have in our stores needs to be of the highest quality and have a nice design. It also needs to provide an expert-level UX for the store and customers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had many meetings with them in the first four weeks to let them know how our business works and what we wanted to achieve. We had an app built using an old technology stack, and Evangelist Apps suggested using the latest technology to rebuild the app and make it more modular and compatible with iOS. We’re building a standalone ERP retail system on Salesforce, with a native iOS UI.
What is the team composition?
Right now, we are working with seven people. We mostly interact with Amit (Senior iOS Architect) and a project coordinator.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over €1 million (approximately $1.1 million USD).
What is the status of the engagement?
We began working with them in the beginning of 2020, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The biggest benefit of the retail app is that all our salespeople can be mobile and don't need to be in the store all the time. Everything is in the retail app, so users can see their inventory and complete all procedures remotely.
Previously, the average time for a salesperson in our stores to process one purchase in the system was between 20–30 minutes; it now takes the system takes less than two minutes. The salesperson in the store can now devote this time to other activities.
How did Evangelist Apps perform from a management standpoint?
It’s easy for us to keep track of everything because Amit is very structured and stringent with the Jira planning and tickets. We ask fewer questions because we can look into Jira, and see the progress directly.
We use an Agile process; Evangelist Apps is very productive and delivers on time or before the deadline. They’re very flexible when it comes to working hours, and if something is needed, they’ll work in the evenings or on weekends because they see this as a long-term relationship. We use Slack and Zoom for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They're very proactive and always try to find better solutions. Evangelist Apps puts a lot of effort into learning the mindset of our business and has the ability to come up with helpful information for projects. Evangelist Apps has been instrumental in understanding our business and our need to make every small detail in the system work well. They also understand how to handle the vast number of possible and flexible combinations in the system.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have nothing in mind at the moment.
Any advice for potential customers?
Any company that engages with them will be lucky because they deliver a lot.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Founder and CEO of ImpactQA
For what projects/services did your company hire Evangelist Apps, and what were your goals?
ImpactQA needed an iOS native application to be developed for one of their leading clients based out of US. The client did not have enough information about the mobile apps, Evangelist helped to gather requirements, propose UX designs and delivered the iOS app in 2 stages - proof of concept, final deliverable app and they did a stellar job. This app helped ImpactQA to establish strong relationship with its clients.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were looking for a partner who could be trusted and someone who brought the tech expertise as well as credentials with them. Evangelist impressed us during the due diligence phase and their local presence in the UK, along with a strong tech team, put decision in their favour.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Technologies used: Swift, SwiftUIl, UIKit, StoryBoard, MVVM architecture etc. The work was around providing a great UI/ UX app without any performance and security issues.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There was a team of 3-4 IoS developers, UI/UX staff, and a Business Analyst
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Evangelist helped to gather requirements, propose UX designs and delivered the iOS app in 2 stages - proof of concept, final deliverable app. The first phase was 2 months and the final app was delivered in about six months. During UAT there were hardly any issues found by the client and they were super impressed with the work performed by Evangelist.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Evangelist had great communication and project management throughout the project duration. Slack and Jira were used for PM and task allocation and project communication. Regular huddle meetings and weekly status reports were also published. MRM also happened with senior management.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their proactiveness and ability to provide solutions to complex problems. Also, their understanding of business impressed us.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I can think. They charge premium rates however that's justified by the value they bring to the table.
Evangelist Apps delivered quality work. The client was very satisfied with the deliverables and impressed with the partnership. The service provider's team was motivated, Flexible, and communicative via Slack.
