The content created by the team at Eucalypt was consistently high quality, met deadlines and required very little hand holding. Frequently, one of their writers was able to efficiently interview one of our key stakeholders or experts and then around a blog, article or other piece of content in a short time frame. Usually only minor edits were required by my team. They are good at what they do!

Because we have many different business units, it's challenging to create and keep up with the content needs of all of our companies. Between blogs, sales material, social media, and websites, we are constantly in a content deficit. The goal was to create content that aligns with our overall tone and worked with our SEO strategy. Her team had to work with our SEO firm to write content that helped with search while still maintaining our brand message.

We are nearly complete with the project but utilizing Eucalypt has advanced our ability to launch the site significantly sooner than expected.

Working together with Kathryn was seamless. Typically she ended up waiting on me and my team more than we ever wait on her. She is flexible with schedules for content interviews and is great for collecting the right information for development.

I’m the director of product marketing for an internet platform that serves as a question and answer community for developers. We have three products, focusing on collaboration and knowledge sharing software, advertising, and recruitment.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eucalypt Media?

We were hoping to increase the frequency of our content. Our clients have a lot of different pain points, and we didn’t have the capacity on staff to handle everything robustly.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided them with the briefing document, which included all the key points that we wanted our readers to walk away with. We gave them inspiration articles to help them understand the points we’re trying to make with our audience. The audience profile we were aiming for was also provided to them. Once we had a call to explain the tone we wanted the content to take, we gave them a brand messaging guide to understand our internal language.

From there, their team took all that information to create the content for our site. They create content for our resource center to educate our prospective customers. Our webinars and sales teams are also using their services to inform clients in one-on-one conversations.

Our clients have found these pieces to be very beneficial for not only educating their clients, but also from a sales perspective. Our content has a broader reach and shows the importance of knowledge sharing and recruitment.

They’ve been excellent at meeting every deadline. Kathryn is very communicative and timely in sending over drafts. She responds quickly, often within 24 hours, to any edits or changes we need. We mostly use email.

I work closely with Kathryn in setting the strategy of the content about once a month. After that monthly cadence, she completes the work and I rarely even have edits for her. However, if I do need something, have questions, or ask for edits, she is very responsive.

We've grown our social media following +1,000 in three months using and repurposing the content from Eucalypt.

Very effective. Kathryn is always responsive and we both tend to go with the flow and it's been very successful so far.

I was impressed by how knowledgeable the content writers were (or appeared in the content) on the subject matter they were discussing (in this case, IT services).

Are there any areas for improvement?

Perhaps the platform they use could be improved by making it more clear where to insert titles and keep working drafts in there. There is a chance, however, that this already exists in the platform and I just don't see it. In that case, maybe a walk-through the platform would be helpful.

We’re a multinational electronic design automation (EDA) software and engineering services company headquartered in San Jose. As a technical marketing engineer, I'm responsible for creating engineering content to promote key/benefit features in our products as well as overseeing some of our blog content.

The content Eucalypt provided has helped increase our web traffic and decrease bounce rates. We've been able to increase our social media presence, which is why engagement is up and followers have nearly doubled.

The principal that we work with is easy to reach and communicate with. We've connected via phone and email, and they’ve also held WebEx meetings to go over our content strategies so that they align with our product campaigns. They report all of their work in a centralized project management portal, which is super easy to use and helps keep us both on schedule. Overall, Eucalypt has a great workflow for our needs.

They have team members who can write well-thought out, easy-to-read, and succinct articles about engineering/technology. Not to mention, they put in the effort to research our industry.

The entire project included drafting copy for over 75 pages targeting specific SEO keywords within three months. My team provided a Clearscope link and some context for each page. Then, Eucalypt performed their research and drafted the copy for each keyword. They did this for over 75 pages on the site.

Can you share any statistics or metrics that speak to the quality of their work and impact of the engagement?

When we began the project, we had 80 pages ranking on the first page of google. After Eucalypt’s work, we have increased to 180 in less than six months. We couldn’t be happier with the results.

They impressed me with their organization in managing the project. They had a system that allowed them to keep track of over 75 SEO pages and moved the project along. They assigned specific tasks to different members of the team. Kathryn was extremely responsive via email;  all of my questions were answered generally within a day.

We needed them to take complicated topics and distill them down into easily understandable and digestible content. We needed specific tones and voices for our internal and external content respectively.

Eucalypt first conducted a discovery phase to understand our company and writing style. We're still waiting for substantial metrics to be gathered.

Some of the early designs we saw didn't push us out of our comfort zone enough. I think that working with them again in the future will help with this issue.
