I’m the co-founder and president of Snacks Partners International. MedBar is our flagship brand – it’s a natural, gluten-free, savory, or sweet bar. We’re based out of Austin, Texas, and we’ve been in business for a couple of years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Envision Creative?

At the time, we just had a concept in our minds, and we were still working on trial bars. We knew what they were going to look like, and we wanted Envision Creative to help us from a brand story standpoint.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us develop the marketing strategy for MedBar. In terms of market research, they created a mini focus group at their office. They also designed and developed our WordPress website, and they made some tweaks to our packaging design.

We worked with David (President & CEO), Stephanie (Former Vice President), Sarah (Director of Operations), and Michelle (Former Director of Marketing).

How did you come to work with Envision Creative?

Our general manager had worked with them in the past. She had a good rapport with Envision and recommended them. I had a meeting with them, and I liked the vibe of the team.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve paid them $25,000–$27,000. This includes brand strategy and web design work.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Envision Creative at the end of 2018, and the bulk of the work took place from then until mid-2019. We’re still working with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their ability to learn was great. Envision has historically been a tech agency, and they’d only had two experiments with food companies. They were forthcoming about that and willing to learn. I was impressed with their ability to improve their understanding of the drivers, the nature of the segment itself, its consumers, and so on. I give them a thumbs up for this.

How did Envision Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Envision was very meticulous and timely in their deliverables. Whatever they promised, they delivered on time, also allowing for iterations and feedback sessions to take place. They managed those sessions very well and kept us focused on what needed to be done. They were efficient in the use of the allocated hours, which built a trusting relationship. We didn’t feel we were being taken for a ride as far as hourly rates were concerned.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s the level of collaboration within the team. In many instances, we’ve had 3–4 individuals of different age groups around the same table, and we felt that the most junior person was able to provide input that was taken seriously and not ignored. I appreciated that level of collaboration within their team, disregarding rank, or level of seniority.

I also liked the level of transparency. I had personal contact with David around some budget issues. I told him I simply couldn’t afford certain initiatives, and he was very forthcoming about it. He asked me how much I could spend and offered to give me the best at whatever rate. I liked their ability to accommodate our limitations in their work without compromising quality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn’t feel they were the right partner on the social media side of things. Michelle was a talented person, but she was almost a one-woman-show in the agency, as far as social media goes. She had a team working under her, but she was the brain of the operation. We felt we’d be too dependent on one individual, and we looked for an agency where that knowledge would be spread among multiple people.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Defining the budget upfront is something I’d recommend. Envision is a multiservice agency, so they might come with an overwhelming recommendation. Clients should also look at whom they’ll be engaging with on the Envision side, in terms of the service provider or key partner.

Our company purchased Hubspot to scale our marketing and generate leads while nurturing our clients through email marketing. We needed Envision Creative's expertise to help set us up for success in Hubspot.

Envision created email templates, landing page templates, and set up all of the technical aspects of Hubspot. Once that was done, they consulted with me to ensure I understood how to use Hubspot effectively and gave me the training I needed to be successful in the long-term.

What were your goals for this project?

To enable us to use Hubspot effectively with little ramp up time. I had never used Hubspot before, which can be daunting to learn. Once the project was completed and the technical details were taken care of, I was able to go to work in Hubspot immediately.

I was able to start using Hubspot virtually right away after the project was completed, which saved us months of ramp-up time and allowed us to get started generating leads immediately.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was quick to respond to emails and phone calls and were a pleasure to work with. The project was completed without any issues and I am happy with the results.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I always enjoy working with Envision Creative. Their transparency, realism, and no BS approach makes things go much more smoothly and quickly. They always do their best work regardless of the size of the project, and they show genuine concern for helping you achieve success.

I’m the marketing manager at The HT Group, a national staffing and recruiting firm with three divisions: temporary staffing, technical recruiting, and executive search.

We needed to rebrand our company with a new logo, identity, and marketing strategy. We also wanted custom web development, design, and print collateral.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to revamp our outdated look to be more modern and better reflect who we are and what we do. This would set us up to land bigger accounts and lay a foundation for growth.

How did you select this vendor?

I sent an RFP to branding agencies I’d selected after rigorous research. 10 agencies submitted proposals, and we brought in six to make presentations. Envision Creative was the clear winner.

They did custom work on our website, making industry-specific changes and solving pre-existing issues. They also created a marketing strategy, conceptualized and designed print collateral, and did digital content creation. Finally, they tackled some development tasks for our job board and back office solution.

What was the team composition?

Aside from our internal staff and CEO loving the results, we’ve received great feedback regarding the new brand. It’s too early to provide specific metrics, but we believe the new brand will be very successful. Our company is already much more organized and clear regarding our identity.

We developed a review and feedback process that worked very well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I found their attention to detail and passion for creating quality work outstanding. They delivered much more than we paid for. Envision Creative have consistently been vital in our website strategy and management. They handle inbound marketing, providing SEO and search engine marketing expertise. They also help with print advertisements. Our outlets have very different and specific brand images, so we do a lot of online and print promotions to entice a citywide target market.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Envision Creative is incredibly responsive and reliable, making them truly indispensable to our hotel. Thanks to them, we have the best social media presence in our local market. Their marketing efforts continue to drive dramatic year-over-year sales growth.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I’ve had the pleasure to get to know their team personally in our monthly meetings. Everyone is full of joy and energy, from the CEO all the way down to the interns. You can tell the passion they have for their work.

It is quite easy to communicate with them, and we receive frequent updates. They are constantly available via phone, email, or in person. Plus, they are always open to new ideas and feedback. If our massive workload stressed them, you could never tell.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive aspect was their timeliness and professionalism. Despite our last-minute demands and changes, Envision Creative has always created miraculous outcomes through our multiple outlets. Best of all, they have never said, “No, we can’t do that.” The turnaround is always impeccable, no matter the type of ad.

I am the vice president of Serranos Cocina y Cantina, a series of four Mexican restaurants in Austin, Texas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Envision Creative Group?

We were approaching our 30th anniversary, and we wanted to address the visual direction and identity of our restaurants. We wanted to keep our brand fresh and exciting and have that brand unity reflected across all of our locations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We introduced their team to our restaurants, our food, and our menus. We wanted them to become acquainted with our brand and our values. Their services included rebranding the website, menu design, food photography, traditional advertising, and social media advertising. They are currently conducting SEO and targeted online ads, as well.

We had two account managers because of some turnover at their firm. We also worked with the vice president, a digital marketing strategist, and their team.

How did you come to work with Envision Creative Group?

We originally partnered with another agency in Austin, but we had some concerns that their vision didn’t align with ours. We decided to explore other options. I found Envision Creative in an online search for branding and advertising firms. I met with a few other companies, as well. I reviewed their references and narrowed it down to three options before deciding on Envision Creative.

How much have you invested with them?

In 2017, we spent around $168,000. In 2018, we’re on pace to spend around $110,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in February 2017. We hit different milestones for the website and social media projects at different times, but much of the heavy lifting was completed by September 2017. We still have ongoing projects, however.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re given evaluation reports each month with figures for our social media platforms, the Google analytics, our new email newsletter, and our food sales. We have seen more of an online following, and we have driven more traffic to our website.

How did Envision Creative Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked mostly through email and phone calls, and we’ve always been on the same page. We asked them to coordinate many projects at once, and they handled everything with ease.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our deadlines to meet the printer were tight, but logo design is generally time-consuming. Still, their graphic design process could have been more efficient.

Any advice for potential customers?

Future customers should not be so prideful as to think that they don’t need help. It’s important to recognize where your business succeeds and where it could use improvements. It’s important to dissect yourself and let Creative Envision offer solutions.

Our company is Miller Imaging and Digital Solutions and we are located in Austin, Texas. We do large format printing in the construction market, for what used to be called blueprints. We also do large format graphics printing, such as signage and posters.

We were rebranding the company and were looking for some help from experts.

Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.

They mostly worked on the design of a logo and a complete graphics package. We needed a logo that showed who we were. We’ve been around since 1920, and we were going through a name change while we did our rebranding. We needed something that summed up current technology with our historical past.

How did you come to work with Envision Creative Group?

We have a marketing consulting firm that was helping a lot with the project, public relations [PR] as well as the rebrand. They suggested Envision for the logo and concept design. They gave us three choices, and Envision was who we selected.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

It ranges between $10,000 and $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Envision around August of last year [2014]. The project was completed in March or April of this year [2015].

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

We were absolutely thrilled with the end result. We initially went to their office, and they made some suggestions. We liked the things they showed us, but we weren’t really jazzed about them. They worked further, but nothing really blew us away. We had them come do a site visit, and we spent some time with them, showing them more about our company and some of our old logos that we liked. They were able to come back with several options that we just absolutely loved.

We liked the attention Envision Creative Group took on our account. They took pride in doing what they did for us, and they came up with fantastic ideas. There was even another idea I liked so much that I bought it, even though I don’t have a use for it. I will use it in the future if I find the opportunity. We have tons of fantastic feedback from our customers and other people in the marketing and creative world, on what a great job they did and how wonderful the new logo turned out.

What distinguishes Envision Creative Group from other providers?

I appreciated that the owner, David, was involved throughout the project. He made us feel special, although I know we were pretty small for them. So it was just the personal element of working with them, as well as the professionalism.

We began as a commercial collections agency, but we have now become a BPO, a business provider outsourcer. We do a lot of things that typically lie in the financial spectrum of a business. Our work can range anywhere from traditional collections to a soft approach or early-stage collection where we're calling customers on behalf of the client and doing a simple reminder.

We started off with them because our original website was not effective. We didn't know how to make our website, our SEO [search engine optimization] or our keyword searches more effective for our clients.

We started working with Envision to design our website and, as we were doing that, they explained to us other ways we could gain exposure. For example, we did an inbound marketing campaign for six months.

How did you come to work with the Envision Creative Group?

I found them through a Google search, and I went to their website to see what it looked like, how they brand themselves, and what portfolios they had. I think the main reason Envision worked out is because we were in their budget range. Some of these vendors only do marketing campaigns that start at $1 million. They won't even talk to small or medium-sized businesses. Envision was local, they fit our pricing, and they felt right for us.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

We've spent about $100,000 working with Envision during the course of two years.

What is the status of this engagement?

The relationship started in the spring of 2013 and has concluded. We started with phase one for our website, which is totally complete. When we discovered that the inbound marketing program wasn't working very well, we backed away from Envision. But, it wasn't that we quit them because we didn't like them or didn't want them. It was because we didn't need all that much. We don't do printed business collateral or banners and such. Our company is so unique that we attract new business and maintain existing business by the relationships we establish and by word of mouth.

Could you share any feedback from this engagement?

The core team that we worked with was fantastic. However, a lot of the other people that they brought in, especially with the inbound marketing, were very young and inexperienced.

What distinguishes the Envision Creative Group from other providers?

They are extremely hands on. If I wanted to come down to their office, that was fine. Sometimes, they would come to our office and talk or look at examples. They were extremely involved in every step of the process. This was not just telephone or email communications – I must have met with Envision Creative Group in their boardroom 20 or 30 times in the past two years.

Is there anything the Envision Creative Group could have improved or done differently?

I felt like the communication with the younger staff was ineffective – it wasn't really bad, but it wasn't all that great either. A lot of times, when we would submit content or talk about ideas or pitches, it didn't seem like they ever really grasped what our business was all about.

For example, the language they used on the website is kind of young, youthful, hipster, and very relaxed. Our clientele are not like that. They don't use "wanna" and "you guys." They want more formal and professional language.

We brought them on board to execute an inbound marketing strategy, basically trying to generate more leads without having an external sales force.

They did some work on our website in terms of getting blogging set up and search engine positioning sorted out. However, the principal focus was inbound marketing.

How did you come to work with the Envision Creative Group?

My boss went to an event and ended up meeting them at this event, and that's how the relationship started.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

We've spent about $40,000 over the course of the year working with Envision.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2014, but we just ended that relationship. We saw some good results from it, but we ended up transitioning to a different firm that is much more focused on our specific industry. Envision's strategy was working, but it was really a business decision to go with someone who would require a little bit less industry-specific hand holding and help reduce our costs.

Could you share any statistics, metrics or other feedback from this engagement?

Overall, our experience with Envision Creative Group was excellent. We saw a month-over-month growth in our web traffic once they really got started. The content they generated was good, but they aren't specifically focused on the IT industry, so we had to provide a fair amount of input on that. Their SEO [search engine optimization] work was really exceptional. For common Google searches, we went from page five or six to the third place on page one.

What distinguishes the Envision Creative Group from other providers?

It was just the nature of our relationship with them. They're a very Austin-friendly firm – a local business. We're a local business as well, and that's definitely valuable. We've had good relationships with their staff, and we were able to communicate with them on a pretty informal level.

Is there anything Envision Creative Group could have improved or done differently?

It really was just the amount of effort we had to put in to teaching them about our specific industry. We're in a really technical industry, and we were going to have to have marketing people on staff just to manage their efforts. If we were a larger company, that would've been fine, but we're a company with a sales and marketing staff of two, so that didn't work. It's not a real failing on their part; it's just an incompatibility with how we had to do business.

We are an 801-room hotel with 80,000 square feet of meeting space. We also have four restaurants within the hotel, which is where Envision has provided most of their services.

I am the director of food and beverage.

What business challenge were you trying to address with the Envision Creative Group?

We initially started working with them on a redesign for two of our websites, which needed to be updated.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

The first project was just website development, times two. The project was for two different restaurants that both have different concepts and identities. Envision did a good job in executing both of those websites. Of course, we wanted to have a common platform and a common kind of accessibility on our end for the sites, especially in the back-end, so that we could update the sites on a routine basis here on the property. They delivered all of that for us.

How did you come to work with the Envision Creative Group?

We first were introduced to Envision in the fall of 2013. We put out an RFP [request for proposal] to redesign two of our web pages, both of which were kind of outdated. They responded to the RFP and were selected, and that was the beginning of our relationship with Envision. We had four firms that responded out of the five we chose to send the RFP to, and Envision was selected based on a variety of factors.

Pricing, of course, was one of the factors in our choice. Overall, when I met with them, I could envision having a nice working relationship with them from the beginning. They were very energetic and definitely displayed an understanding of where we needed to position our restaurants in the market.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

We have spent around $15,000 to $20,000 working with Envision.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in July 2013, and the collaboration is ongoing. Since those first two websites, they've done an additional site for our spa. I've also used them on a number of occasions to do some food photography. They've done some excellent work for us in that area. They're currently engaged in a marketing campaign to provide our restaurants with an in-room marketing piece. We've kind of left that as a big open project, and they've come back with some creative ideas that we've been impressed with.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

From a metrics standpoint, I don't really have a lot of click-through rates or anything like that, but the websites are much more advanced, and they definitely made sure the restaurants look like they are restaurants. That was one of our main objectives, and they delivered on that. In the last two years, we've seen good annual growth in those restaurants. That's of course not necessarily directly related to the work of Envision, but it's certainly a piece of it.

What distinguishes the Envision Creative Group from other providers?

They're extremely responsive. On the business development side, they've been very thoughtful in the questions they asked to help define the scope. In a couple of cases, they also helped steer us toward more cost-effective solutions.

The Envision Creative Group has been very creative in some of their approaches and solutions, even during the website development itself. They helped us think through the titles and subtitles of the pages and how the website should flow so the guests enjoy the experience. They also worked in-depth with us on the SEO [search engine optimization] for the sites, to identify what the keywords were from a cuisine perspective, and who our potential guests would be to try to draw them in and translate that into business.

We launched both sites at a time when we were making efforts to improve the capture in the restaurants, and thus the financial covers and revenues. During the last two years, we've seen good growth in those restaurants. They've also done some internal marketing that kind of matches the websites. They created some templates for us for marketing, which we're actually still using for print and web ads in local markets.

Is there anything Envision Creative Group could have improved or done differently?

No. Not really. Within the scope of the different projects we've worked on, they've really gone above and beyond. We've definitely gotten our dollars' worth out of each of the projects that we've done with them. They've always been willing to go beyond and not worry about billable hours or anything like that. That's hopefully created a long-term relationship with Envision and their team.

The name of the company is HHS. We specialize in providing support service management for hospitals and other healthcare facilities in the United States, and now Central and South America. Our home office is in Austin, Texas. We've been in business for 40 years, and we maintain partnerships with more than 400 facilities across the United States, Central America, and South America.

What is your position?

I am the executive vice president of marketing.

What business challenge were you trying to address with the Envision Creative Group?

We began working with Envision about 10 years ago, which was about when I first started working here. Their first assignment was just to make a new brochure for us. Ten years ago, we were just dipping our toes into the marketing waters. But, a couple of years ago, we teamed up with Envision to go through an entire rebranding process.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

Their work started with the design of the website, and then we worked on some photography. At the time, the company had a very limited budget for marketing. Our industry is very much of a "who you know"-type of business, and most of our growth has been based on referrals.

During the rebranding process, Envision designed a new logo, and helped come up with a new company tagline. The total redesign of our website led to the development of brochures and sales kit materials. We've been working with them since then, and they provide follow-up materials for our culinary division as well as for other service lines in our company.

How did you come to work with the Envision Creative Group?

We had a couple of experiences with other organizations in town that we weren't too thrilled with. We weren't happy with the quality of work they did, nor with the customer service they provided. Although we understood that we were just a small customer, we felt like we weren't getting our money's worth. It was at that time that we found Envision.

Ever since we started working with Envision, we've felt like they've been very straightforward with us on what they can provide. They provide very good quality work. I've always felt like they've been very responsive to our needs, and very good and open in their communication.

The rebranding was our largest project, and that was probably in the range of $60,000 to $70,000. Through the years, if I were to total everything up, we've easily spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with them, since we've worked on so many different projects with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

The collaboration is ongoing. We are actually just getting ready to sign off on a new large branding concept for our culinary division that Envision did for us.

Could you share any statistics, metrics, or other feedback from this engagement?

I think all of the things they have done have helped us to better present ourselves as an organization. When we started with Envision, we had about 70 partnerships and were regionalized along the Gulf Coast. Since we started working with Envision, we now have more than 350 partnerships across the entire country, and we have just expanded into international waters for the first time in the company's history.

What distinguishes Envision Creative Group from other providers?

Envision Creative Group excels at being very open in their communications with their customers and being very straightforward. For example, if you were to ask them to undertake a huge project for almost no money, they are not going to take in on and then try to make money on the back-end. They're very straightforward and honest about what can be accomplished.

They're also very good about saying, "OK, you think you might need this but, given the budget and given what we know about you and your industry, we want to suggest that you should probably go in this direction instead." I've appreciated that, and I think that really helps them as an organization. They're not afraid to be honest with you. Once we had established what the goals are, I've never been disappointed in what they've delivered or in the timeframe in which they've delivered it.

Is there anything Envision Creative Group could have improved or done differently?

No. It's been a wonderful relationship, and I hope to be working with them for many years to come.
