Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Founder and Owner of The Russ Firm, LLC, a law firm focused on Civil Rights and Criminal Defense work.
For what projects/services did your company hire The Emotional Company, and what were your goals?
We started the Firm just before the COVID-19 Pandemic hit, so we initially built our own website. After we were more established, we reached out to The Emotional Company for both branding and to help develop a new website. Our goal was to develop a logo that reflected the culture of our firm, and to also build a website that would capture potential clients' attention. We also wanted to structure our website in a way that could help educate potential clients through blogging.
How did you select The Emotional Company and what were the deciding factors?
We consulted with at least 5 different companies before settling with The Emotional Company. With every other company, we felt that we were required to put in way too much time to get the results we wanted and even then, our wishes were simply not met. Everything was generic and seemed lifeless. We first consulted with The Emotional Company to help with our logo.
We had a brief conversation about our culture, our mission, and how we want to develop our brand. Candidly, we had no idea what kind of logo we wanted -- we just wanted one. After a short time, The Emotional Company provided some sample logos and they created exactly what we were looking for (before we really even knew what we wanted).
The folks at The Emotional Company are true visionaries -- they were able to take my words and put together a brand/logo that I could not be more happy with. After that, we were certain that we would use no other company for our needs going forward.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had an initial meeting to discuss our vision for the firm, the employees, practice areas, and our goals. From there, The Emotional Company first created a logo for us. A short time later, we had another brief conversation about a new website. We again discussed our firm and the general look we were going for. We did not have a real "wish list" and, candidly, we gave The Emotional Company very little to work with.
We then received an email from The Emotional Company, letting us know that a "Draft" (if you will) website was ready. I took a look, and just like with our logo, it was exactly what I was looking for. The Emotional Company worked with us to make some very minor changes to the website, and were extraordinarily responsive throughout the entire process.
Once all changes were complete, The Emotional Company scheduled a video conference to discuss the in and out's of the website and how to make changes, etc. The website was up and running well before I ever could have expected.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with Michael C., the owner of The Emotional Company.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We just launched our website 48 hours ago, and we have seen a dramatic increase in traffic and inquiries already. We have even received numerous comments from our current clients about how much better our new website. We were eager to leave feedback for The Emotional Company because of how well the project turned out, so we are unable to provide more long-term measurable outcomes.
As far as deliverables, the website was up and running well before we expected. The Emotional Company works very efficiently and keeps you informed every step of the way.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
The Emotional Company is very flexible when it comes to communication tools. We communicated by email, phone, and text, and the Company was always extremely responsible. The Company was also very effective and timely. Candidly, there was never a time where we felt we needed to impose a deadline because The Emotional Company worked with both a purpose and a sense of urgency.
The really take pride and ownership in their work, and everything was done more timely than I could have imagined.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their vision and creativity. They were able to listen to us, use their imagination, and create a remarkable product and logo/brand. This is something that simply cannot be taught or even learned. The Emotional Company has a natural knack for what they do and it is obvious. This is simply an amazing company.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Candidly, we have zero complaints with The Emotional Company. When you are building a new website, there inevitably is going to be some "hiccups." It is expected, but The Emotional Company always located them quickly and fixed them even quicker. We do not anticipate using any other company for any of our future needs.
