Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the founder of a SaaS company. We're developing a contract management solution and offer that as a cloud-based service to our customers.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Emit Knowledge?

As a startup, we had a requirement specification and were looking for a development partner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They're a full-service, end-to-end development partner. We started with nothing. They built the front- and backend and helped us deploy all the resources onto Azure. The product is built with .NET, SQL, and the full Microsoft stack. There is some JavaScript and Bootstrap involved on the frontend.

What is the team composition?

We have had different profiles involved in our development over time, but the majority of the people we worked with are frontend, backend, and full-stack developers. They manage the development on their side and we communicate both with the project manager and directly with developers.

How did you come to work with Emit Knowledge?

We found them through a vendor search portal. They were on our shortlist, we got in touch with them, and we decided to hire them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We signed a contract in December 2015. The work began in the new year, and they delivered the MVP in July 2016. Since then, we've worked with them as our ongoing development partner.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product we are selling is the evidence. Our solution was completely developed by Emit knowledge.

How did Emit Knowledge perform from a project management standpoint?

Project Management is working fine. From a technology perspective, we started off we Jira, but have since then moved on to Microsoft DevOps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are really committed, and they go the extra mile. If we ever have production problems, they're quick to react, even after business hours. We have a direct line to them, and they're very attentive and customer-focused. They usually deliver great quality work, and our releases almost never have any issues.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Early on, they were sometimes overly optimistic about their project planning and delivery dates. We spoke with them about it and now set more realistic deadlines.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Speak with their CEO and give them a chance to explain their process. I'm sure that anyone interested in hiring them will be happy with their work.
