What challenge were you trying to address with Elevated Web Design?

I needed to update and redesign my company’s website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We scheduled an initial meeting to review my current site and identify effective and distinguishing details to include in its new iteration. Elevated then upgraded the existing site from a template to a custom WordPress and hosts it on their personal server. Their design work included a new logo, color palette, and layout, and additional services like providing visual content and copy. Their team also arranged a photo shoot for our staff to provide pictures for their website profiles. We plan on partnering again in the future to optimize our digital marketing and SEO strategies.

I worked with one representative from Elevated, but he collaborated with a background team of designers.

How did you come to work with Elevated Web Design?

I was looking for a nearby and cost-efficient agency that could finish the project quickly. A few of my colleagues at another organization had past experience with Elevated and recommended their services.

We spent around $11,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

They completed the entire project in June 2018. It was extremely impressive.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website just launched very recently, but we are expecting great results. Elevated’s design stands out from any other local law firms’ websites.

How did Elevated Web Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Elevated was very hands-on throughout the design process. Their representative would willingly stop by my office at a moment’s notice to discuss the project. They were responsive to all forms of communication, though we mostly connected via email. The Elevated team was very receptive to feedback and promptly made any of my requested changes or adjustments.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My point of contact told me during his interview that he would exceed my expectations, and he did. Elevated’s level of creativity and customer service was outstanding.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I really can’t think of a specific area. They completed every task I handed them.

Any advice for potential customers?

Potential clients should definitely hire them. The value provided for the price charged is unbeatable. They build you a custom website from the ground up.

I'm the marketing manager at a home remodeling company in northern Virginia.

For what projects/services did your company hire Elevated Web Design?

We needed a new WordPress website and custom landing page designs for Google AdWords.

What were your goals for this project?

We have dozens of competitors in our busy market, so hiring an experienced web design agency was our top priority. We wanted to create a clean and modern website in order to attract younger, savvy clients in the northern Virginia area. We also wanted to implement Google analytics software to measure where our leads come from.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We sent out an RFP to several web design agencies. We had already gone through the project proposal process with three other agencies but found their solutions to be slightly cookie-cutter. Since those web designers couldn’t offer the kind of flexibility that we wanted, we reached out to the team at Elevated Web Design and were very impressed with their proposal and technical knowledge.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

We had an initial meeting to brainstorm design concepts for our homepage and landing pages. They were open to our ideas and communicated the technical lingo in a user-friendly way. After several rounds of design mockups and feedback, we finalized a new website layout. The development team then worked on developing our website on a responsive WordPress platform, allowing potential customers to easily request estimates via mobile devices. With only a few suggestions throughout the process, they took the lead and completed the website on time.

What was the team composition?

We mainly worked with Ahmad, their managing director/lead developer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our company is less than a year old, so we originally created a temporary website on Squarespace for a one-month period so that we could run Google ads and capture leads. During that time, we received seven leads from the website. With our new WordPress website, we now capture 10–20 leads per month with the same ad spend. The ROI is consistently growing due to our new website and the marketing campaigns they manage on our behalf.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Throughout the course of the project, Ahmad and his team communicated with us primarily via phone, email, and occasionally Google Docs for file sharing.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are extremely professional, efficient, and most importantly, transparent in their communication at all times!

Are there any areas where they can improve?

No. Their work was fairly priced and delivered on time.

I’m the head of marketing research and communications at the Prince William County Department of Economic Development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Elevated Web Design?

In the original assignment, we wanted to update our site from DNN to Drupal because our team lacked the experience to operate DNN effectively. We had contracted another marketing firm to redesign our site. However, due to complications, we ended the contract before the project could be completed. We needed web developers who could complete the half-finished assignment and transfer the coding and content into a new Drupal site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Elevated Web Design completed the previous firm’s site redesign coding and implemented it into an updated Drupal site. They then transferred content from our previous site to the new site. Key features included embedding videos and displaying downloadable images. They also linked our social media accounts to the site, which now hosts a live Twitter feed.

What is the team composition?

We worked primarily with their CEO who served as our main developer and point of contact.

How did you come to work with Elevated Web Design?

We conducted research online and found them. After contacting him, we were impressed by his ability to articulate technologically complex nuances to a wide audience. We hired him afterward.

We’ve spent about $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted between December 2015–March 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new site had received positive feedback internally and externally. Compared to our old site, we’d made a significant leap in organic traffic due to strategic SEO content. Whereas our previous site had 25,000 unique visitors per year, the updated site had over 100,000. An updated backend allowed our internal team to efficiently operate the site and add content as needed.

In terms of work methodology, we applauded their ability to take the previous developer’s coding and complete it. Coding can be a personalized endeavor because it’s unique to how a developer approaches the project. As a consequence, not many people would inherit someone else’s incomplete code, particularly such a complex one. Elevated Web Design leveraged their intimate knowledge of the Drupal platform to not only complete the coding but also enhance it and provide further insight into the design.

How did Elevated Web Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They kept two timelines to ensure project completion. They also maintained transparency about the coding process, updating us on the project status and identifying potential delays. As a testament to their organization, we launched the project on time despite transitioning between different development vendors.

Responsive communicators, they also provided clarity to our internal stakeholders about the project’s technological challenges, which we found extremely helpful on a personal and professional level. They reassured our team of the project’s completion, building a strong relationship that culminated in easy communication. After the project, we can still email one another, and we consider them as an extension of our own internal team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Beyond their ability to maintain a cost-effective timeline and produce high-quality deliverables, we appreciated their strong communication skills. With a technologically complex project, one must build a strong relationship to ensure tight teamwork and respect deadlines. Everyone must collaborate to meet the goals. Elevated Web Design succeeded in building a strong relationship with our internal team and key stakeholders so that everyone understood the project goals and necessary steps.
