Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Business manager for Food Supplements International that provides education and specific natural products/supplements to females aged 20 - 65. We have 10 staff based in Australia and a further 6 internationally. Our whole business is online and our business model is based on a virtual office.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

The approach will be to deliver the right message, for the right audience, using the right platform 1. Will start with an initiation phase which will include a half day workshop to outline key messages, stakeholders, competitors, goals, commercial issues and much more. 2. Create a comprehensive plan for a PR program, outline timelines for each campaign, along with an editorial schedule for either six – 12 months, as agreed with Happy Healthy You. 3. The team will then develop and implement tactics to target key audiences, ensuring all activity relates back to the objectives. We present monthly transparent reports outlining all results achieved and work undertaken. Strategies are reviewed regularly and revisions are made when appropriate.

What was the team composition?

We were allocated a Senior Director to manage the contract who had extensive experience in our industry. Other staff members were always on call to assist in certain specialist areas. Owner on the business was always up to date with progress and would be present at most monthly meetings.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the year through our PR activities would have a reach of over $60M and advertising value exceeding $12M. We have been able to track major increases in web activity which has converted into sales but difficult to track the exact amount. We are currently working with the agency to improve our analytics.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicate on a daily basis and there is never a problem when emergencies arise or we need to organise meetings. As we run a virtual office the company is very flexible in location of meetings to facilitate our structure. They understand our message and have been very successful in getting our message out to the broader community. We are looking forward to working with them for another year. Being a small company they basically become part of the management team and the focus on our business has been impressive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Anyone can put a plan together but to then carry out the plan and continually adjust where necessary to get the best results. Elevate achieved 100% take up with the media on every PR story.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everyone can improve but we are very happy with our performances over the last year. The only thing I would like in increase is our coverage in remote areas and towns outside major cities but this will be a goal for the upcoming year.
