To aid us in the editing and delivery of a series of big-budget, internal communications pieces for a large, global client. 

Ingesting days of footage and managing that whilst working with the client to ensure the very best shots are pulled for each scenario. 

Each piece consists of multiple sub-edits, many in diverse foreign languages so working with temp-translation files and ensuring everyting is replaced with the original dialog before export and then the creation of multiple exports for multiple language variation both with and without subtitles.

The project has since been redacted from our client and passed over to us to work on directly with the end client such is their happiness with the delivery and tight team we have now built for this recurring delivery.

The editors were all excellent and communications and were more than willing to pul the extra hour to get proofs or amends done for the client. They were invested in the project as opposed to just a signed to it. Couldn't ask for more. 

All this is backed up by flexible and always-available management be that in person, via email or on a messaging App.

Their personal approach to the project and their ability to let the production team breathe without bogging the process down with unnecessary meetings and calls are commendable.

The editors supplied for the project were of the highest order, technically diverse, and able to extract the story from what can sometimes be a mountain of loosely issued footage.

At this stage of the project, 2 episodes in with a 3rd in the pipeline, nothing.

The project required three shoot sessions across different days and locations to capture interview content to be used to support business-to-business sales. The brief called for management of the full pre production process - from working with health and safety regulations to lighting design - as well as acting as the interviewer. In this capacity, we required someone to people manage to ensure the pieces to camera could be used in an interview style format.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Time management - completing every interview with sufficient time whilst managing external time demands
• Senior stakeholder satisfaction - able to manage feedback from various teams after each shoot which improved senior stakeholder satisfaction with each session
• Problem solving - managed on set challenges efficiently and creatively to ensure a cohesive look and feel was sustained across all shoots

Despite the many challenges, Eight Engines always worked to schedule to ensure we maximised shoot time against many other external demands. Lighting and sound challenges were creatively solved to ensure content was professionally shot. In addition, Eight Engines were able to build a relationship with our US based team to understand their requirements, and practically apply on set. They have been great at not only meeting our needs, but anticipating how to better improve our output through various recommendations on set.

A fantastic can do attitude and ability to react quickly to external demands to solve problems. They have a great way of managing people to get the best out of them, and a curiosity to learn more about the project and its objectives to ensure that the output meets our objectives.

Greater visibility on the planning process for my own records, e.g. scope of the space, H&S compliance, however I could fully trust Eight Engines to deliver.
