What business challenge were you trying to address with Efferent Media?

I needed a better way to market my product and increase my general presence on the Internet. I was previously working with another company, but was not getting the results I hoped for.

Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

Efferent totally redesigned my website and integrated a social media component using Facebook and Twitter. We promoted certain products and events through these channels to drive traffic back to the website. Everything was integrated, including the information from Google AdWords, which I didn't have access to before. They also made my website mobile-friendly, which was a big help since most people access the web through their phones.

How did you come to work with Efferent Media?

I was referred to Efferent by a friend after mentioning that I was looking for a website redesign. I went to their office for a consultation and liked what they had to offer.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The project ended up being around $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement is ongoing. We continue to launch parts of my website as they transition to a different server.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

It is hard to make a comparison to before I used social media, but I can see that the traffic has increased since everything started rolling and I'm happy with the results.

The Efferent team is very easy to work with. They addressed all of my ideas quickly and were very receptive.

What distinguishes Efferent Media from other providers?

Efferent is much more personal and involved than companies I've worked with in the past. They are easy to work with and are more in tune with my small business needs. There was much more interaction and attention to detail than what I've experienced with bigger companies.

Is there anything Efferent Media could have improved or done differently?

They taught me a lot about how different aspects of my site work and why it was successful. I don't think there's much to improve on their end, I'm satisfied with their service.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Efferent Media?

Our web presence was severely lacking. We had a website that was built by a web developer strictly for an online presence, but it was not optimized at all. We were coming up on either the bottom of the first page or the second page of Google. We were not even on Bing search results. The website itself was old and shabby looking.

Our goal was to become the number one search result in the categories that pertained to our business. We partnered with Efferent Media to develop our site, do SEO [search engine optimization] work and build organic traffic.

Efferent Media retooled our website to optimize it for SEO purposes. Now, they are responsible for all of our Internet marketing. They manage our pay-per-click campaigns, our social media and blog. They built various landing pages for certain keywords to drive more traffic to our website too.

How did you come to work with Efferent Media?

I did an online search of SEO companies in Long Island. They came up first, which was a great sign of their SEO skills. If they can do it for themselves, they can do it for me.

They were priced competitively too. It was one of the smartest marketing choices I've made. It's the best ROI [return on investment] that I can point to.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

It costs between $25,000 and $35,000 per year.

What is the status of this engagement?

It's ongoing work.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

Efferent Media's results are amazing. We are number one for all the relevant keywords we are looking to capture. Leads from our Internet marketing campaign are up 180% compared to last year. It's phenomenal.

How did Efferent Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Efferent Media is always available and responsive. I get monthly reports on every single campaign we are doing: SEO, how my keywords are performing organically, how my Facebook retargeting programs are working, and how my landing pages are working. As far as their project management, they're definitely on their deadlines. They get it done.

What distinguishes Efferent Media from other providers?

Efferent Media's atmosphere is always great. All the employees seem to love their job. That makes for a great partner. They love what they do, and it shows.
