I’m the head of IT at Sam99p, an e-commerce store.

What challenge were you trying to address with eDesk Solutions?

We needed someone to develop our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our website from scratch and did some graphics work for us as well. Their previous experience helped us a lot because we didn’t know how to do it. After wireframes, they also did some integration with our software to take the inventory quantities out. The website was created on ASP.

They also helped a lot with the PSD templates for us where we put the sliders and they ported pictures. We set up a photo studio based on their advice, and they taught us how what to do with the pictures to get them on a white background. They did a lot of things they didn’t have to do to make this project work.

How did you come to work with eDesk Solutions?

I chose them because of their experience. I saw that a lot of their clients were from America, Canada, and Australia and they wouldn’t know anything about the UK, but, when I talked to them, they knew the trends and what was working in the market. They knew more about UK stuff than me. That’s what convinced us to go with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $3,000-$3,500 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January until February 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re very professional and know what they’re doing. Rather than overcommitting to things they couldn’t deliver, they took their time to understand our needs. Creating a proper specification for them took time but it ensured we could work together. Sometimes we slowed them down by providing them the data late, but they were quick in their work. They set the pace and did so very professionally. We want to use them again in the future.

How did eDesk Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a project management tool they use which helped them finish ahead of time. We weren’t expecting that because our technicalities weren’t that good. The communication level was very nice. Anytime we were speaking to them, everything was recorded. They gave us choices on what tools we wanted to use.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I found them to be the best company I’ve worked with. I’ve never come across a vendor who’s so professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve their testing a little. We didn’t ask them to test it. It was our job to test it. Our testing and their testing are different.
