Reimagining the Future with a Cutting-Edge Technology Company
About the Client
Blockchains develops software solutions that are preparing the world for the next phase of the internet’s evolution—Web 3.0. This groundbreaking company is on a mission to reimagine and build the infrastructure and tools needed for greater personal control over digital interactions and better protection of personal information through blockchain-based security. With an emphasis on digital identity, digital assets, connected devices, and a stable means of digital payment, Blockchains is blurring the line between digital- and real-world interactions. The company is even building a real-life sandbox in northern Nevada that will model the new ways in which humanity will live, work, and play.
The Opportunity
When people think of blockchain technology, they often associate it with cryptocurrency and the volatile bitcoin market. Most cryptocurrency sites have a dark, tech-based look-and-feel that focuses on apps and numbers. The Blockchains team wanted to differentiate itself in the space with a humanized aesthetic that over-indexed on people, team, and culture. The site needed to convey that Blockchains goes beyond cryptocurrency, with plans to develop a complete ecosystem rooted in the good of humanity.
What We Did
The eDesign team knew it needed to build a site for Blockchains that would push the creative envelope. To illustrate the company’s progressive nature, we developed 30+ custom 3D assets that were integrated throughout the Blockchains site. At the forefront was a detailed 3D animation of the company’s pilot program—a futuristic city in northern Nevada meant to showcase all aspects of what blockchain technology can do. Featuring an abstract feel, multiple textures, and eye-catching motion, the animation was built to appeal to a variety of audiences—from potential partners to industrial application users, to prospective employees. In addition, our team created reusable CMS templates and added new sections, such as a rich news area and career page.
How It Went
The end result was a fast, approachable, and accessible site that differentiated itself from the cryptocurrency space via the use of bright colors and human touches. Just days after launch, Blockchains experienced a 3x increase in engagement from the previous site, and a 50 percent increase in pages visited. Thanks to successful SEO optimization, the site is already showing higher on Google rankings despite an abundance of 3D animations. The project was completed on time and on budget, with universally positive feedback from all company stakeholders. As a testament to a job well done, Blockchains has engaged eDesign for ongoing maintenance and support, along with future opportunities for additional microsites, landing pages, and campaigns.
Our Role
UX/UI Design, Visual Design, 3D Animation, Motion Graphics, WordPress CMS, Third-party Integrations, GDPR Compliance, SEO, Ongoing Maintenance.

Finch: Bringing a New FinTech Brand to Life
About the Client
Finch is a one-of-a-kind financial product and mobile app that combines the flexibility of a checking account with the benefits of an investing account. It puts the customer’s money to work by automatically investing one’s entire checking balance into a diversified portfolio of Exchange Traded Funds, offering liquidity, simplicity, and the opportunity to increase wealth by up to 50% every 10 years.
The Opportunity
As a Financial Technology startup, Finch needed to establish itself as a brand from the ground up. They started by securing a name and identifying customer personas, then brought on eDesign to give a “face” to the Finch brand. Our team got to work right away, developing a logo, brand guidelines, and a robust online landing page all within an uber-tight timeline of 4 months.
What We Did
We set out to create a logo that connected with the inspiration behind the Finch name—a bird in the Galapagos Islands known for having a distinctive, evolutionary beak. The eDesign team landed on a logo that incorporated bird features in a subtle yet striking way, ensuring it would work in both standard and standalone app environments. We then moved on to developing brand guidelines, which served as a starting point for the aesthetic of the websites and landing pages. At the center of this robust page is a 3D animation that clearly tells the story of the two sides of the Finch experience, along with smart UX design, an abundance of motion, an interactive calculator, a WordPress-powered blog, and more.
How It Went
Though the site only recently launched, the client noted positive feedback from internal stakeholders, customers, and investors alike—along with early signs of increased engagement on the site. The Finch team recognized eDesign for a job well done via positive industry reviews and client referrals, while also leaning on our team for ongoing maintenance and site support.

This allows SundaySky to drive breakthrough outcomes and quantifiable business value for their customers—including increased revenue, reduced costs, lower churn, and higher customer satisfaction.
What We Did
The eDesign team knew that the best way to capture the attention of a CXO was to develop a dynamic 3D video that would greet visitors upon arrival at the SundaySky site. Our team created a visual centerpiece featuring customer personas that told the “why” and the “what” of SundaySky’s software and partnership. Artificial Neural Networks For Image Recognition
We researched Hardie’s business story in detail to understand brand’s essence, core mission and market position. This discovery phase inspired our team to imagine fresh new visuals for Hardie’s online space. We made sure to pay special attention to the sitemap, wireframes and content layout, as we knew user experience was key.
To add an interactive cool factor to the Hardie’s site, we created a dynamic wheel showcasing all the fresh fruits and veggies currently in season. We even added a “draw it yourself” product search, where users can use their fingers to draw the shape of a fruit or vegetable in order to let the website determine the product in question. To match users’ hand-drawn doodles with real products, we used the latest artificial neural networks (ANN) technology.

Web Development for Insurance Company
"They always kept the deadlines we discussed and managed our budget expertly."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the project manager for an insurance company in Bulgaria. We’re part of a bank insurance group.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
We wanted to redesign our website because it was very outdated. We also wanted to achieve a unified look and feel with websites in the larger group.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They redesigned the home page of our website to help us focus more closely on the digital services our company provides. We wanted the designs to be neat and clean through a templated process. In our previous site, all pages had a custom structure. The templates allowed us to remain uniform and approachable to our clients.
They delivered one unified template for all product pages. Another big section for our website was for claims management. We wanted to bring all relevant information together onto one page, which would include general insurance, claims management, life insurance management, etc.
They also made a more structured “about us” section and produced a virtual museum centered around our company.
What is the team composition?
There was a project manager, 1–2 developers, and a designer. We were in contact with the project manager.
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
They were already working with the bank and had developed their website 10 years ago. When we decided to move forward with this project, they were a clear choice.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $22,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked on the site from November 2019–September 2020. They continue to maintain the website.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The initial feedback we received from the company and our colleagues was very positive. The look and feel of the website is modern and innovative. If our clients can’t find something on our website, they would be one to complain. However, at the moment, we aren’t getting such complaints.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a very good job. Despite our tendency to lag behind the timeline when providing materials to them, they were constantly pushing us in order to complete the project in time. I’m very thankful for the job they did. They really led the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It was important to me to receive deliverables on time. They always kept the deadlines we discussed and managed our budget expertly. While they had to work extra hours to complete the work, they didn't charge extra for that time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I’m satisfied with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be prepared with your requirements. If you’re not well prepared, they can’t work miracles without your support. You should provide enough resources and time for the project as well.

Web Design & Dev for Video Marketing Platform
"Their 3D and animation work is really strong."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the VP of marketing at SundaySky, a video and marketing platform for businesses to improve their customer experience across the customer lifecycle.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
We went through a repositioning almost two years ago. We wanted a clear crisp message of what we do front and center. In the past, we heard from stakeholders that it wasn’t quite clear what we did, so we wanted to crystallize it.
We wanted to redesign our website so that it matched our new positioning and communicated it effectively. We also wanted to bring a lot of our platform and product components, capabilities, and ethos to the website as well.
One of the core components of our platform is content modularity. We wanted the look, feel, and aesthetic of the website to have that modular aesthetic.
What was the scope of their involvement?
eDesign Interactive did design and development. I was on maternity leave when our CEO decided that he wanted to redo the website. When I came back, the process was in place and had just kicked off, so I was able to work closely with eDesign Interactive on the design, development, site structure, and hierarchy.
We split the project into two phases. The first phase was the core web pages, and the main pages on our navigation such as the homepage, platform page, industry solutions pages, customer page with customer references, and case studies.
Phase one was primarily a lot of the design, the 3D animation work, and then the core website look and feel and page templates. Phase two was the CMS build. It is built on WordPress, and eDesign Interactive also built our content resources section, which is our blog.
Part of the reason we split it into two was to keep the original timeline for the new website and homepage that our CEO wanted. Of course, one of our internal stakeholders had a lot of feedback and iterations on the homepage design look and feel, so we had to split it into two phases.
What is the team composition?
We worked closely with their managing partner, as well as a project manager, a design lead, and a development lead.
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
I was on maternity leave, but they were selected by a colleague of mine. He vetted them, and one of the reasons he selected them was based on their creative portfolio and the work they had done, which was contemporary, fresh, and new. They had a lot of current website 3D and animation trends and practices.
How much have you invested in them?
So far, we’ve spent about $115,000 which includes the monthly maintenance we have been doing.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with eDesign Interactive in March 2020, and it’s an ongoing partnership. Phase one was completed at the end of June 2020, and phase two was completed about two months later.
We’ve continued with ongoing optimization. We have a maintenance retainer in place for optimization, updates, and new pages which we continue to build out. We are pushing a completely new page live in the first week of January 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The UX and design have significantly improved just like our site visitors. It has been keeping people on the site longer. Prior, we were seeing under a minute on the site, but now we are seeing closer to two minutes; almost doubling the time on site.
Just the improved user behavior has in part influenced our organic search ranking positively. At a high level, the better UX and user behavior has kept people on the site longer and improved our organic ranking.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
The managing partner was highly involved, not only with weekly status calls but also with making sure that they were achieving our goals. We did run into some hiccups in terms of maintenance, hosting, and security that were brought forward by my internal IT and security team.
That’s not what eDesign Interactive does, but they were always front and center to help us mitigate those issues and fix them along the way. We changed project managers halfway through, but I’m not sure why.
The team uses Basecamp, which we typically use for communication. They also use InVision for static design mockups, and we use it to provide comments.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a lot of creative solutions, especially in terms of the homepage. There were a couple of times we got stuck or there were some things we liked on one design concept and some things we liked on the other, and they had solutions to help us achieve our goals, especially for the homepage.
Their 3D and animation work is really strong. Compared to the other website providers I have used in the past, eDesign Interactive has been the strongest in terms of their design work, 3D work, animation, and creative solutions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could push us more. In terms of timing and deadlines, some things were extended, but in that first phase with the homepage, it was because one of our stakeholders had different iterations and wanted to keep the homepage tight. There is a trade-off between being perfect and just getting it done.
Overall, everything we have done over the past year has taken time because eDesign Interactive lets us take our time. If they had pushed us more and told us when we needed to get the work done and when decisions needed to be made, that would’ve helped to push us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Bring your business challenges and goals to them directly and let them provide creative ideas and solutions and iterate on those rather than bringing your own ideas to the table. One thing we are seeing now is that it’s important to maintain an ongoing relationship to continue optimizing and getting the most out of the site.
We are now seeing optimizations on the homepage based on the core designs that are kind of obvious, but it didn’t occur to any of us at the time. Once the website is live and in the market, you’re going to need some of the data. It’s important to come back six or 12 months later and look through the heatmap and optimize the design.

Branding & Wordpress Web Dev. for Financial Tech Startup
"Each step of the way, eDesign was as committed to the success of the project as we were."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of marketing at a financial tech company.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
We had two key challenges: we needed to develop our brand identity, and we needed to provide a better digital experience for our customers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The first part of the project was the branding assignment. We’d done our own research into our customer personas and the type of design identity that would be suitable for our target customers. We wanted eDesign to give our brand a face, so the first thing they worked on was our logo.
From there, we built our brand guidelines and subsequently used those guidelines to build out the entire aesthetic of our website, which was the second part of the project. The team built the site on WordPress.
What is the team composition?
There were two distinct teams we worked with, with the same project manager across both of them. We also had a second contact who, along with our project manager, helped us coordinate the overall timelines.
On the creative side, we also worked with George (Owner) and Stella (Digital Marketing Strategist), who were responsible for the design. Other than that, we worked with a range of developers and creative behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
I came across eDesign on Clutch while I was doing research on companies. I read their reviews and I was impressed, which led me to have a conversation with the team. It just fell into place from there.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July–November 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
From an external metric standpoint, it’s probably a bit too early to tell what the results are, since we just went live a few days ago. In terms of the early signs of success we’re seeing, we’re getting great feedback from all our stakeholders.
Our customers, investors, and everyone else we’ve engaged with so far has really appreciated the outstanding quality eDesign delivered. We’ve also started to see early signs of increased engagement to our site.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
If anything, from a timeline standpoint, it was on our end that caused a little bit more of a delay. We were trying to accomplish a lot in a short period of time, and moved some deadlines around a bit. Through all of that, eDesign was super accommodating, and they coordinated things on their side really well.
In the early stages of the project, we had a catch-up meeting once a week, which was enough for us to stay in alignment. Then, towards the backend of the project, we were very focused on the development so the cadence increased to about two times a week.
Outside of the meetings, eDesign was incredibly responsive to any questions that we had. In terms of tools, we used Basecamp as our primarily means of communication, as well as BugHerd to provide feedback and annotations.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Each step of the way, eDesign was as committed to the success of the project as we were. That meant that even though they were under a time stretch, they would still bring more and more ideas to the table. They wanted the branding and the website to be incredible, and they left no stone unturned.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s only one thing that comes to mind, and I think it was a function of having such a short engagement with them. In the early stages, the only hurdle we had was although it was a branding project, it felt like a design project at first.
For instance, the concept that we would be presented was incredible from a design standpoint, but wasn’t necessarily aligned with the brand identity. We had a bit of a pause to reset and realign, and it was smooth sailing from there.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you provide as much necessary information as possible to give them a clear idea of your vision. Don’t provide them too much information, but do give them everything they need. Also, be completely transparent and open about feedback — eDesign is incredibly receptive.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the manager for Weaver Popcorn.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
We were looking to improve the overall UX on our website. We had an antiquated site, with no true call to actions, animations, or anything along those lines. We wanted to give our clients a better digital experience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They conducted a series of user interviews with our customers and internal executives. Then they created user stories. It was a website development project. eDesign Interactive helped us hone in our call to actions so users would convert.
What is the team composition?
They were pretty lean. I was connected with the VP of sales. He led every meeting and weekly standups. We also interacted with a designer who led creativity. We also worked with a backend developer who was in charge of the functionality.
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
My manager had a referral from his previous employer. He received a positive review, so he reached out to eDesign Interactive.
How much have you invested with them?
It was about $60,000. It was pretty affordable for what they delivered.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working in October 2017 and they wrapped up in January 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
When the website was launched, we saw a decrease in questions because the new design helped users find content easily and quickly. Aesthetically, it looks more pleasing, is interactive, and has a strong call to action.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
We had a weekly standup, they used Jira, and they tracked every task very granularly. The only reason why they didn’t always meet the deadline was because of things on our end. They managed the project and followed up accordingly. They didn’t stop until they got what they needed to complete the job.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The interactive features they designed are very impressive. The website still stands out and is very relevant. The UX/UI is top-notch.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would like for them to engage more. In addition to our standups, I would like to meet more frequently. When we’re trying to be agile, a lot can happen between meetings.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Once you decide to bring eDesign Interactive onboard, really immerse them in your organization and culture. Allow them to attend meetings and share as much information as you can. With that, the team will be able to create a wonderful product for you.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a co-owner, director, and tech lead for a private preschool in New Jersey.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
We were looking to completely redo our website. We had a static one-page with a little scrolling board. It had an info list, so we needed to get with the times.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They completely redesigned and rebuilt our website. They taught me how to use WordPress. They designed a mobile platform. They featured a scrolling bar on top. They’ve also done mobile design, blogs, and integrated connections to other platforms.
Really, they were able to tell me the best way to anything I needed. For example, I let them know that we needed to get the word out that our camp is taking registrations, so they put a tag line up and rotating testimonials, for me. Then they taught me how to manage everything.
What is the team composition?
I always know who’s working with me. My correspondence starts with Vincent, and from there, it goes to 1–2 other people. We’ve built a relationship with those on our team, so they know the site inside and out. It’s nice because it’s easy to maintain communication with them.
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
I came across their services through a Google search, I cold-called him. I met with several different web developers at the time. I was so impressed with their professionalism, creative ideas, design work, and catalog of clients.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $20,000 over the years. Their prices are very fair and their fee structure has been very consistent and straightforward. I love that I can navigate my budget.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in July 2008 and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
A lot of people have told us that they love our website, how much information it has on it, and how accessible it was for parents deciding where to send their kids to preschool. Our website is the first thing parents see when they start looking for schools.
When I talk to parents, they often comment that they were impressed by certain things on the site. It’s not what they say directly, but they’ll comment on X, Y, Z, and it’s clear they found that information on the site. They always comment on the professionalism of the site, the ease of use, and how much content was easily accessible.
Not only do they do what we ask them to do, but they also empower us. They always teach us how to do things ourselves on the sites. A lot of other companies never give control back to the customer.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is fantastic. Over the years it has been so seamless. I’ve never had to wait more than a few hours for a response.
In the 12 years I've worked with them, I’ve never waited longer than a few hours for a reply or resolution to any request of mine, both big and small.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve bee most impressed by their professionalism and their creativity. They’ve been able to rise to the challenge for every problem I’ve presented them with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they do such a good job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If anything pops up that you want to address, they’re so approachable. You can tell them exactly what you want.

Web Development & SEO for Venture Capital Studio
"Their customer service and level of professionalism stand out."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a venture studio, which is a venture capital incubator model.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
We built our website when the company started in 2015. We didn't have any portfolio investment companies at that point. We changed directions and needed to redesign our website to showcase those changes. Also, we wanted to shine a light on our portfolio companies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
eDesign Interactive built and designed a whole new website. Their team built a CMS into the backend, which allows us to make updates. They also built an e-commerce piece to the website with Shopify.
We gave them our brand guidelines, which were fairly out of date. They led a discovery exercise that guided the initial design. Their team created the designs based on our founder’s feedback too. They balanced showcasing our portfolio companies as well as our founder. Their team also refined the site's copy.
They help with our SEO efforts too. As well, their team continues to work on our website.
What is the team composition?
Outside of developers, there were probably five people working with us.
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
I searched for agencies and they were one that I came across. We saw some awards they’d won. We interviewed and received proposals from about 30 different agencies with various price points. eDesign Interactive provided us with the most appealing price. Our founder also liked how they were creative, and project minded. They seemed to care about delivering on time and budget.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost about $50,000, but we have them on retainer with a minimum number of hours. They bill us if we go over those hours at a reasonable rate. Their price is reasonable for their talent and output quality.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started this project in the fall of 2018. The website took about a year to complete, which was due to our constant design changes. Their team still provides SEO services and website updates as needed.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re pleased with the website. We had little structure to give them, so they built the platform from scratch. We’re pleased with all of the site's elements including the copy.
We’re a complicated customer, but their team dealt with our ever-changing requests and needs well. They’re professional and accommodating. Their team not only presented the risks associated with decisions but also presented compromises. It’s a pleasure to work with them.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
eDesign Interactive used Basecamp. They were always on time. Our work style isn’t always easy because our founder gets pulled away for several weeks at a time for his other businesses. They were able to schedule their work around us. Their team provided constant updates on the design and build. They were able to make sure they got the most important pieces delivered when our founder was available.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their customer service and level of professionalism stand out. We’re not the easiest client and we had agencies in the past get frustrated with us. They kept chugging ahead. Their ability to problem-solve was top-notch.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they did an amazing job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a great team of people. If you’re on the west coast, they’re on the east coast, so the hours can be tough. However, eDesign gave us notice and fit meetings into our tight schedule.

Website Dev & Monthly Blog for Consumer Goods Company
“The quality of their content is very impressive, and their team was responsive.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the former brand manager at a consumer goods company that manufactured and marketed various food items.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
I was managing a brand that needed a blog for its website. They also helped us build a website from the ground up.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided blog-writing services for one of our sites that was in need of written content. In that effort, they wrote the blog copy and found appropriate images to publish on the site. With that, they offered analytics and insights on the backend.
That included tracking the average time spent on the site and how much traffic we were receiving. From there, they would recommend tweaks and changes to our strategy. We came up with blog topics together, deciding upon relevant information. They posted a blog each month, and I was able to provide any edits I wanted. Their team also published the finalized information on the site.
We also created a new corporate website together from scratch. They took care of wireframes, designs, images, and more. Their team both drafted and edited copy in collaboration with my team. Throughout the design phase, they came up with iterations of sites for us to examine. We went back and forth on edits until we finally went live.
What is the team composition?
There were about four people on their team for the blogging project. For the website, I spoke with an additional three people. I’m sure there were more resources working in the background on both fronts.
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
My VP of marketing had reached out to them, and they had come to us to present on their capabilities at one point. We went with them for these projects because they were a smaller team that could be agile and nimble. They always responded to us quickly when we reached out with questions or concerns. Their team also provided examples of high-quality work that they had done in the past.
How much have you invested with them?
Between those two projects, we spent about $60,000–$80,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from March 2017 and continued to do so through 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They made our new site much more modern and fresh, revamping the outdated, older version. That brought us up to speed on the latest UI and design thinking. The design is mobile-friendly, which appeals to a wider audience. They were helpful in making sure that our site would render nicely across devices. It was easy for me to trust that the quality of work would be excellent, so I never had to worry. The usability of the final site is great and intuitive. The content they created really reflects the essence of the company as a whole.
For the blog, their articles and imagery were always top-notch. For instance, they produced very high-quality content that involved how to make a particular craft. We were always very happy with their work.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
Once every month, we would meet to discuss our website’s traffic and other relevant analytics for the blog they were running. They were highly-organized and did a great job of managing the project. Their team was on top of the timing and schedule of the project to communicate on certain deadlines. That allowed us to revise our timeline if needed. We were always able to deliver right on time, with really strong design work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality of their content is very impressive, and their team was responsive. It was important for us to be able to access them when needed, and they exceeded expectations with response time. Those things set them apart.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nothing comes to mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Get examples of their past work and talk through potential timelines.

Website Development for Food Production Company
“I felt very comfortable and confident with Vincent leading the project.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
At the time of the project, I was an associate director of marketing for Sabra Dipping Company.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
eDesign Interactive was helping us with a relaunching of the Sabra Canada website. The site we had was dated, did not have the functionality that we wanted, and needed to more closely address our brand positioning.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their team helped us plan out what main goals we wanted the site to achieve, updated our brands look and feel, and streamlined the UI/UX to help the user find information more readily and with fewer clicks.
The site is bilingual, so we had to be able to completely mirror the flows and functions of both sites for each language. There was also some complexity in the site design, particularly around recipe pages, and a store locator function based on both postal code and product categories available at those stores.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact was Vincent (Partner, eDesign), and he had around 4–6 people working on the project with him.
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
I believe we were referred to them by an agency that we work with within our industry.
How much have you invested with them?
The development of the site cost around $20,000–$25,000, and then we spent around another $30,000–$35,000 on the maintenance of the site for the following year, including SEO, updates, and accessibility.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from around May–December 2014.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The year that we implemented the website with eDesign was one of our highest growth years, reaching almost 48% for the year. That was due to a combination of factors, but the redesigned website was certainly a huge part of that.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team was able to understand our deliverables perfectly from the beginning, and really did a great job of producing them within our time and budget structure. They communicated seamlessly with me and were always available and responsive to our feedback. I felt very comfortable and confident with Vincent leading the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I think the quality of the relationship that we had with their team members stood out the most. They performed sophisticated work that I would expect from a highly established digital marketing web asset agency, but there was also a personal touch in their responses and the rapport that we developed that you can often have difficulty getting out of your account person.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have any additions or gaps that I felt need to be corrected.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It is well worth the time to get to know Vincent and his team so that your collaboration with them will be as enjoyable and productive as possible. I would recommend them not just as an agency for digital work but for all of the marketing technology demands that modern CPG companies are looking for.

Website Redesign & Maintenance for Food Wholesaler
“eDesign Interactive has some very creative solutions.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of marketing for Hardie’s Fresh Foods. We’re a B2B that sells fresh food ingredients to chefs in restaurants.
What challenge were you trying to address with eDesign Interactive?
The design and business challenge was figuring out how we could simply and beautifully show our products to our customers. We carry about 7,000 items, so it’s not an easy task. We had a WordPress website that had some basic information on our company, but it was less focused on the products.
What was the scope of their involvement?
eDesign Interactive redesigned our website to help us categorize some of our products and make our website more visual. Our team provided a creative brief and a wish list for deliverables, and eDesign Interactive came back with wireframes and design options. We went from there.
They created the architecture to categorize the products, implementing a CMS system so we can update the content ourselves; produce changes seasonally, as does availability from week to week. The team added some fun, unique features; for example, instead of typing in your search, you can actually draw the item and it’ll search that way. The team helps us produce interesting content that makes it easy to talk about our products.
eDesign Interactive continues to tweak the site, adding more content and continuously making it better. We have a maintenance contract, but some of the work we ask them to do is outside of just pure maintenance, like adding new functionalities.
What is the team composition?
There is a team of nine people assigned to work on our account. Our primary contacts are Vincent (Partner, eDesign Interactive) and Andrew (Project Manager, eDesign Interactive).
How did you come to work with eDesign Interactive?
A colleague of mine did the research, and they stumbled upon a food site that eDesign Interactive did. We really liked the site.
How much have you invested with them?
My company spends about $10,000 each year on maintenance. They do a great job being responsive and fitting a lot beyond maintenance into that fee. The redesign was a separate cost of around $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with eDesign Interactive in late 2018, and our new website has been live for at least six months. We’re continually building upon it to make it better.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
A huge part of our brand is beautiful food photography; people taste with their eyes. Our previous site had delivered some beautiful photography, but it was very slow. With the redesign, the site is a lot faster and more responsive, especially for mobile users. As a result, we’re getting three times more traffic and leads coming in through our website than we did previously.
How did eDesign Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
They perform very well delivering on the creative brief; they’ve nailed it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
eDesign Interactive has some very creative solutions. The team delivered beyond the creative brief by providing additional ideas; they really surpassed our expectations from that perspective.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could put requests on the schedule a little faster. It’s a fairly new relationship, so we both probably just need to set expectations on the turnaround time.
Any advice for potential customers?
Start with clear direction and be open to new ideas.
