Two years ago, we started developing HopOn India, an app that provides audio guides for different locations in India, including monuments and museums.

We have no internal team, so we hired Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as a technology partner.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team at Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has been engaged throughout the entire development of the app. We came up with the features, and their team handled all of the coding for the native iOS and Android app. They also developed our website and backend CMS.

How did you come to work with Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

It was by complete happenstance. There was no background to our relationship, and it was a complete bootstrap. I posted my requirements on a website, and someone contacted me from Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

After evaluating 10–12 people who approached me, I found them to be the best. I liked their team and visited the office.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $50,000–$60,000.  

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Ltd. started in late-2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with the project. They’re continuing to help us improve the product, working on maintenance support and upgrades. Their service-oriented team performed well. They understood our requirements.

How did Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great at meeting deadlines. They even have people on-call for us. Based on the requirements we give them, they do their own research to determine if they’ll be able to deliver. After they have a solution, we’ll make an arrangement, and they’ll deliver on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with several IT firms, and Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is well-focused. Their team is humble and has the right service qualities, which makes a difference. I have no complaints because they follow a full process and give timely updates.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve told them to improve on their English, but otherwise, they’re great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If customers have clear requirements and expectations, Ecosmob Technologies Pvt. Ltd. can pick up a project from there. They can work within deadlines, handle QA, and give feedback.
