ICAN Institute is a widely renowned training company, experienced in providing training for managers and CEOs of multinational enterprises. ICAN Institute issues three magazines in both printed and online version: Harvard Business Review Polska, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan Management Review Polska and ICAN Management Review. For what projects/services did your company hire e-com.house?

UX/UI data-driven redesign for ICAN institute (three key websites: Harvard Business Review Polska, MIT Sloan Management Review Polska and ICAN Management Review / ICAN Institute.)

What were your goals for this project?

- A complete UX/UI redesign of three major websites - Adopting data-driven design that answers both readers and subscribers needs - Combining end-user needs with requirements of both editorial team and advertising department - Ensuring implementation at lightning speed

We heard some positive opinions about e-com.house, so we decided to give them a try. Once they completed their work on redesigning Harvard Business Review Polska website, we decided to entrust them with the other two websites as well.

- Desk research and quantity & quality data analysis using Google Analytics and Hotjar (heatmaps and session recordings) - UX workshops with our 20-member team - Mobile-first UX design (low-fidelity & high-fidelity wireframes) with elements consistent across the three websites - Rebuilding the advertising placements - Designing a new information architecture and hierarchy

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The main goals of the project were to effectively combine specific publisher's needs (e.g. improvement of user engagement) with business KPIs (e.g. increasing newsletter sign-up conversion rate and magazine subscription rate). Both goals were met soon after the go-live date.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

E-com.house adopted an iterative approach and we were communicating at lightning speed. Even under such pressure the projects were executed in a friendly atmosphere which both parties greatly appreciated.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team at e-com.house has an impressive knowledge of all things digital and ecommerce, and they are willing to share it with their clients. There was a good chemistry between us and we greatly enjoyed working together.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not really, everything was great :)

Kubota brand, famous back in the 1990s, has been reactivated in 2018 by a new generation of Polish entrepreneurs. It offers a range of casual shoes, including the legendary Kubota slide sandals/flip-flops, as well as other footwear products. It operates in the D2C model, offering our products directly to customers via an online store. My name is Alina Sztoch, I’m the Co-Founder of Kubota Store.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

e-com.house has co-created and is still developing for us a mobile-friendly platform with great UX that helped us to go from 0 to 3,000 orders per month! Our two teams have become one and we enjoy a good work relationship and a clear, direct communication.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project was implemented using the Agile methodology. Since the project required our two teams to work closely, during that time they have become one team. We enjoy a good work relationship and a clear, direct communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Apart from being 100 percent professional and reliable, they are also really nice people :) Their expertise allows us to make decisions quicker while helping us to avoid mistakes that are easy to make when you're getting started with your own ecommerce business.

I am the product owner of Literia.pl - internet bookshop.

e-com.house successfully take the control on the web site and implemented new functionalities. Thanx to that we have increased our incomes in 2019 by 18%.

The team has a great atmosphere. I also like their high level of technological knowledge and constructive attitude.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The team is so concentarted on current job (development) that sometimes forgets about reporting the formal things, which is annoying a little bit, but testifies about concentration of the team on substantive issues.
