Eric Originals Antiques is a very old jewelry store that sells both new and antique fine jewelry since 1978. The owner reached out to us with the challenge of increasing their sales online and onsite during Covid-19. We worked with their staff and third party accounts managers to improve their branding, e-commerce website, and 1stDdibs online marketplace presence with a series of online digital strategies.
ONLINE DIGITAL STRATEGIES
Knowing that e-commerce and online shopping increased during the pandemic, the solution we implemented was a combination of digital marketing strategies, website and online market place optimizations. We worked with their accounts manager in 1stDibs.com and helped them achieve Gold Seller status, increase their online sales through product page optimization and implementation of product videos, and website SEO in Google. Next, we discovered they have a forgotten large list of subscribers collected from their tradeshows over the years, so we implemented an ongoing newsletter marketing strategy for brand building and customer acquisition. Additionally, we ran Facebook and 1stDibs paid ads to increase website traffic to their online store and 1stDibs storefront. The end result was a steady increase in sales throughout the year, with an overall increase 2020 sales by 60% vs YoY 2019.

We designed it to be scalable so that as the business grows, they would be able to easily add features using apps from the Shopify apps library. We also created their social media accounts, newsletter templates, and branded it for them so the over all looks was consistent with their chic, city high life theme. Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a jewelry store in the Diamond District. We mainly deal with antique jewelry and signed pieces.
What challenge were you trying to address with E-Com Fashion?
Since we’ve been in business for 40 years, we want to put together a website with all of our jewelry pieces, which we also want to advertise.
What was the scope of their involvement?
E-Com does all of our marketing work and works with our account and website manager to deal with our ads on Facebook and 1stDibs. They’ve used Wix to create our website, and they also handle our monthly newsletter. Simply put, they handle virtually everything we need for marketing. They even take photographs of our jewelry pieces that they use for ads every month.
At present, E-Com works with us once a week. We’re currently undergoing a transition process, where they update us about what they’ve been doing for our marketing campaigns.
What is the team composition?
We mainly work with Allen (E-Commerce Consultant & Specialist).
How did you come to work with E-Com Fashion?
I wasn’t in the company when Allen first came to us.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend between $200–$300 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with E-Com in September 2020, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
E-Com mainly deals with the numbers from our website. Considering the time, the metrics we have aren’t completely accurate. However, we’ve definitely seen an increase in our sales.
How did E-Com Fashion perform from a project management standpoint?
E-Com has been terrific in terms of communication, keeping us up to date with what they’re doing. I’ll give them a perfect 10 if I have to rate them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
E-Com has been diligent; they’re on top of things, especially when I first came in. They communicate how everything is performing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Let Allen do what he does because he’s always on top of everything. He’s highly communicative, so you don’t have to stay out of the way, but you should let him do his work.
