BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the co-founder of a software development company focusing on highly scalable solutions. Our products reach more than 100k users per day, and we routinely employ hundreds of servers for a combined workload of over 1000 requests per second. At the time of our engagement (2019) with Andrei from DX Software, we were building the WHS system for golf handicaps, solution that was expected to reach 2M golfers in 2020.

For what projects/services did your company hire DX Software?

We were building the World Handicap System, a new, consistent method for calculating handicaps that the six golf governing bodies adopted in 2019. Golfers of various skill levels are able to play and compete on an even playing field thanks to the complex handicapping algorithm known as WHS.

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

Finding the ideal engineer to develop the core was difficult because we required someone who was receptive, skilled, and had outstanding attention to detail. That individual was found in Andrei from DX Software! One year later, Andrei's implementation of the core algorithm is used in the golf handicapping system of the United States, run 60 million times per year, and returning correct results every time, without fail.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Between April and December 2019, we implemented, tested, load tested the WHS algorithm. The algorithm was launched in 2020, as part of a larger suite of products. We worked on various improvements between January 2020 and December 2021.

We met Andrei through a recommendation from one of our co-workers. We interviewed Andrei, focusing on the algorithmic skills necessary to run such a project to completion.

Andrei's implementation of the core algorithm is used in the golf handicapping system of the United States, run 60 million times per year, and returning correct results every time, without fail.

We relied on DX Software to create an NFT collection around an amazing art collection. Their work involved developing smart contracts, the website and the minting page.

We were looking for a technical partner that both understood our vision and had the skill to deliver on it. I reached out to their CEO on linkedin and decided to work together after a quick discussion. We found them very supportive and willing to share valuable information with us, so we trusted them to let them handle this project.

DX Software offered us a few consultations on the best approach for this project and proposed a simple solution. We provided them with the artwork and they developed everything from the first lines of code to the deployment of the website and the smart contract, along with long term support.

There were 4 people involved in the project from DX Software. A frontend developer, a blockchain developer, a manager and a business analyst.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Everything was taken care of with little involvement on our side. They delivered everything they promised from start to end, and we were happy with the result.

The release went on almost flawlessly, any minor issues were quickly addressed and the communication was very good.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The guys at DX were always happy to help us learn more about the technical side of their blockchain work and never tried to make their work a mystery, which we enjoyed.

Not really, everything went pretty well.

We needed to have a fast start setup and development of the tools and experiences that we needed to get in-market and DX Software stepped in to help us fill the gaps.

Their demonstrated expertise in WEB3 was a deciding factor.

We needed DX Software to help develop a wholly custom Solidity (Ethereum Blockchain) smart contract for our NFT project. They were able to meet all deadlines and provide leadership in the project based on their significant expertise.

There were 3-4 people who worked on the project. They ranged from project managers to frontend and WEB3 developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The deliverables were top notch. This has enabled us to use the deliverables as a springboard into launching our project and enabling us to start planning additional phases of our product development.

Their level of knowledge and expertise was what impressed us the most, and it was exactly what we needed.
