Please describe your company and your position there.

SoluLab is a custom software development company providing its services across the globe. The software services are becoming commodity and we wanted to differentiate ourselves and expand over offerings in different industries and emerging technologies. In order to grow fast, we wanted to find out the niche for our services so, our billing rates can be improved.

We hired DWConsultancy to chart out the tailor made growth strategy for us that help us to scale fast. The overall objective was to find out the niche for us by understanding our services and processes and ways to leverage it in our favour.

What were your goals for this project?

We would like to scale fast with in terms of #of projects and improving billing rates. Our objective was to compete with other well established software companies that are better versions of us.


How did you select this vendor?

We found them by doing online search and reached out to them by sending inquiry. In parallel, we sent inquiries to 15+ consulting companies but we selected DWConsultancy. They scored higher on understanding our vision quickly, related our pain points, their expertise, and professionalism - made us select them. We are very happy with their services.

They understood our overall vision, processes, and our offerings. They did market research and came up with their specific findings. They presented the gaps, competitive analysis, and areas for us to focus in a very detailed presentation.

Their output was - short-term and long-term plan, the outline of our new offerings, ideas around positioning our services, and improvement in process areas to make us more efficient.

What was the team composition?

There were two team members - one was our single point of contact to understand details from us - Principal Consultant and other was Senior Analyst.


Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

With their help, we were able to target right clients in the industry we have never tried for. We were able to setup few meetings from clients quickly and we closed the business with two customers in that niche.

The team at DWConsultancy was punctual and they also set a deadline for us to respond and act on their suggestions. The team is honest and their progress report was updated every week - this created transparency.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their quick understanding of our current state, their clear thought process for our future state, and their detailing in how to reach there were impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothing as specific. It’s a really good experience so far.
