We received a cold call from Ben, and we really liked what he had to say – we agreed that an engineering discipline is important in today’s marketing.

The first stage of the project was a ‘customer strategy’. This included Due North identifying our target audience, creating a value proposition, and mapping out the journey we will take our customers on Due North then began a ‘tactical campaign strategy’, which gave us a strategic overview for all our digital marketing assets. This meant we had clear direction in what we needed to focus on to get those quality leads. From the tactical campaign strategy, Search marketing was a priority, so was the first cab off the rank. Due north drafted, built, and managed our google ad campaigns to start attracting the right leads.

We worked closely with Ben, the owner, as well as Carly, Due North’s technical marketing engineer. Both were great to deal with and super responsive.

We have been blown away by the process and outcomes it has produced. We now have clarity on what we are doing and why. And now we have high quality leads coming through the door.

The workflow was really good. Due North knew what they were doing, and they were very professional all throughout.

Ben was very logical in the process and what is a priority – it all makes complete sense. They didn’t bamboozle us with marketing BS, which is a common trait with other marketing companies

Bring in a highly competitive industry, we needed to build our brand in the market. This meant we needed a full marketing strategy, new website and supporting marketing resources.

Due North came highly recommended to me from a credible source. The deciding factor being that they talk the talk and walk the walk.

The first step was completing a Digital marketing strategy. This included identifying our target audience and creating personas, working with us to create a simple but effective value proposition, and then identifying our customer journey. The second step was building a new website. This was an important step as we needed to re-do everything.

Due North guided us through every step including design, user experience, content, optimisation, and web development. They also ensured our organic search results didn’t drop when we made the new site live. The third step was working with us to create ‘go-to market campaigns’ both online and offline. This brought the above 2 steps to life and we couldn’t have executed them as well as we did without Due North.

We worked with 3 people from the Due North team. The Owner (Ben), the Marketing Manager and the Web Developer. Each were easy to work with a responsive to emails and questions. We had a fortnightly call with the Marketing Manager to keep us up to date with each step of the project, and they contacted us with anything in between. The communication throughout the whole project was great and appreciated.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

- Great experience - Learned a lot - Great website Every step of the project was an enjoyable experience. We learned a lot and now have clarity on what our proposition in our competitive market is. This has shown an increase in sit-in diners and online orders. We now have a great website that is also functional and easy to use. This has shown through an increase in online bookings, orders, and phone calls.

Our team worked seamlessly with theirs, especially their Marketing Manager. She was great at getting it everything completed in a timely manner and communicating to us every step of the way.

They did exactly what they said they would do while being on time and on budget.

Nothing I can think of.

We approached Due North for several reasons including increased leads through the door, website improvements and growth, better search marketing (paid and organic).

I had met Ben a few times at Networking events, and we got along quite well. When I was researching who to approach, I asked around and Due North was referred by a trusted source. As well as doing my own due diligence, it was apparent that Due North is at the top of their game.

Stage 1 was improving our SEO. Due North guided us through the journey including backlinking onto trusted sites, optimising our website with great content that included keywords. Plus updating our onsites so that google could reference our services more easily. Stage 2 was creating Google ads. Due North built, created the copy, managed, and optimised all the campaigns. Stage 3 was updating our website. Due North conducted in-depth analysis and recommendations to improve conversion rates on our website.

We worked with 4 experts from the Due North team. This included Ben, the owner, their Google Ads manager, their SEO expert, and Content Manager. Although we were dealing with various people, all brought their own professionalism and expertise to the table. The experience has been very enjoyable.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcomes have been awesome. Not only do we have a number of leads coming through from our website, but we are also converting them into clients. Our google ads have been producing the results we want, and business is going well.

The workflow has been great. We were actually the ones dragging our feet a little as we grapple with the complexities that is search marketing, but Due North kept us on course and accountable.

Working with Due North has been a real partnership approach, they helped us grow and improve. They even referred us to some of their other clients for social media management, now that’s a partnership if I ever saw one.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I can think of is they could guide us a bit slower through the process as there is lots to cover and do. Sometimes it felt too fast, hence us dragging our feet.

The first step was working with Due North to update our website design. We needed to tidy up things to make it look better and be easier to navigate. The second step (and ongoing one) is the continual website maintenance to ensure it keeps running smoothly and working how it should. We don’t have the time to do this ourselves, so it’s great to trust Due North to do it and flag anything we need to fix, update or change. The third step (also ongoing) is help with our website content and support. Due North assist us with blog content as well as new content to keep our website up to date as we grow and evolve our business offerings.
