I’m the director of WBR Interiors, a furniture retailer.

We wanted a new website design for our shop.

What was the scope of their involvement?

After the first consultation, they came to our store. They designed our e-commerce website working from the design specifications we gave them. It was bespoke-made.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2018 and the work is ongoing. Dsgn One finished the website in seven weeks and they continue to host the website.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Dsgn One has provided us with good and effective service, and I’m really happy with every aspect of it. They listen to my input and respond very well to my requests. The website was designed exactly as needed. The service is very personal in the sense that I only have to interact with one person.

How did Dsgn One perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is very efficient. Dsgn One met the 6–7 weeks timeline we set. Our point of contact is available 24/7, and we always get a prompt response if there’s an issue.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with their personal and bespoke approach to the project. They listen to our requirements and do the project accordingly.

No, there are no areas for improvement. I’m satisfied with their service.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Marketing Executive for Virtus Contracts Ltd. Virtus are a London based main contractor who undertake fit outs and refurbishments for commercial and residential clients. I have been the head of Marketing for over 5 years and have worked with Dsgn One for over 2 of those years.

For what projects/services did your company hire Dsgn One?

We hired Dsgn One to take control of our website and give it a fresh look and after being happy with the service they provided that lead on to them taking control of our SEO and PPC campaigns.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals where and still are to increase awareness of the brand, increase traffic to the website and compete more directly with our competitors digitally.

How did you select this vendor?

Initially they were selected based on reviews from google and a competitive price and after meeting Paul in person it was an easy choice to proceed with Dsgn one.

Describe the project in detail.

Virtus hadnt previously carried out an extensive SEO / digital marketing campaign prior to working with Dsgn one, so having met them I felt I could trust them and felt that we where both on the same page and how to achieve what we had set out. We broke down our company into its sectors and set about having individual campaigns for each which allowed us to make inroads on Google and be more specific.

What was the team composition?

The relationship between Virtus and Dsgn One has always been a fairly relaxed one between myself and Paul. I know Paul is only ever an email away and has never shied away from answering any questions or urgent requests, even if he is on annual leave.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our campaign is still ongoing and some new targets/ search terms where added at the beginning of this year. As mentioned we hadn't carried out a campaign of this nature before so expectations where unknown and limited at the beginning. But the outcome has been amazing, we have gone from virtual unknowns within the SEO world to now appearing first on some pages and with more ambitions of the same to follow.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As mentioned, our relationship is a relaxed informal one which is how I like to work. Paul is only ever a phone call or email away and i wouldn't think twice about reaching out to him with any questions. I feel we work well together and occasionally chat about life outside of work which is nice, again adding to the informal way we communicate.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I liked the modern feel of there website as this was something we were trying to emulate as a company too, they had also worked with a couple of other companies in the construction industry which is always helpful. The personal working relationship we have is nice.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Very little areas for improvement from my point of view. Maybe for me personally it would be nice to sit down face to face a little more than we currently do to monitor performance closer and maybe even learn a little more about our website running to not have to bother Paul with small amendments etc.

The team consisted of Paul as my main contact and he used a developer to get the work done behind the scenes and make changes as required

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The first weekend the website went live we had an immediate impact with over £25k of new sales that weekend. We have also had useful user feedback to say the new website is much improved. It has also made it much easier for us to add products and messages to our website.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project management was done all through Paul which was good in some ways in that we had one contact and the communication path was very clear but in other ways this slowed the delivery down at times especially when Paul was away or in London with other work.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

This company is nimble, delivers great value and Paul is a good listener and in the end they delivered a great outcome.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything was great but by only dealing with Paul who sometimes took some time to respond this slowed some aspects of the project down.
