TradeMutt
TradeMutt is a social impact workwear brand - built by tradies for tradies. They make funky eye-catching workwear designed to start conversations about mental health among the blue-collar community.
Over the last few years, they have experienced significant growth and are now looking to take the brand to the next level by expanding further in both DTC and B2B markets. In order to scale the brand, they need a more professional looking website to deliver first-rate customer experiences and functional capabilities to support marketing initiatives and improve business performance.
The intended outcome of the redesign process is to produce a site that has:
- Better conversion rates
- Faster page loading speeds
- Improved ability for merchants to customise the store-front
To achieve these outcomes, we at Drive Digital:
- Built a new theme on the Online Store 2.0 framework
- Built a consumer-focussed Bundle Builder to help support campaign promotions and improve AOV; and
- Built a desktop-first approach bulk-buy module, aimed to help B2B customers kit out their workforce in TradeMutt gear.
Through these improvements, in the first 30 days since launch, TradeMutt has seen:
61% Increased Conversion
41% Average Order Value
175% Increased Revenue

Cacao Collective
To stand out amongst competitors in a similar space, Cacao Collective needed a modern, clean website that aligns with the brand and target market. To do this, we have combined high-quality design, clear product information/benefits and enhanced eCommerce functionality of the site to propel the brand's online presence. Below is a glimpse of the major changes we incorporated into Cacao Collective's website.
- Advanced product page features.
The goal is to create a strong first impression with potential visitors by communicating the key product benefits clearly. We believe that forming a quick connection with potential customers is the key to engendering trust in the brand resulting in higher conversions. - Auto-Ship - Recurring Subscriptions.
In order to increase Customer Lifetime Value and build monthly recurring revenue, we integrated a Subscription Service. This allows customers to regularly receive their Cacao at a discount, and never run out of their favourite daily-drink. - Modern, responsive design.
The design of the product pages on both mobile and desktop is a key factor in ensuring better functionality and higher conversion rates. So, we ensured that the key information can be easily accessed including the product benefits. All product size options are also easily selectable on each product page, encouraging customers to buy.

Nest Living
Nest Living by Ivy + Fitch is a Brisbane-based company that sells high-quality furnishings to build you your perfect home.
To cater to a range of direct-to-consumer target markets, including their interior design clients, Nest Living has seen the need to provide an online showroom to display and sell high-quality rugs. The website we created was a well-designed, organised and engaging showroom that allows users to browse the range, and purchase rugs for delivery.
It also was built with the infrastucture to allow them to expand their product range into more homeware categories.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the platform manager for TradeMutt, a social impact workwear brand for blue-collar workers. A part of our profit margin goes to a mental health charity.
What challenge were you trying to address with Drive Digital?
One of our large goals was to be the easiest platform for businesses to purchase their workwear, whether they’re small or extremely large businesses. We wanted to provide our customers with an easy and seamless experience to purchase on a small or large scale, involving as much or as little customer service as they require. Thus, we brought in Drive Digital to help us with our website’s UI/UX.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we had 2–3 calls with Drive Digital to discuss our ideas and what we wanted out of this project. From there, they came back with the outlines of how the new pages would look and function. After that, they started developing the new pages, doing tests along the way. Once everything was completed and functioning well, we launched our brand new website.
After launching, Drive Digital provided us with 2–3 weeks of maintenance services, fixing bugs when needed. However, they’ve been fantastic in letting us extend our engagement since they still help us fix issues when needed.
What is the team composition?
Brad (Owner) was our only point of contact from Drive Digital, and he was in charge of passing the information to his team to work on the different parts of the project.
How did you come to work with Drive Digital?
We had been talking to our Shopify success manager about new ideas, functions, and features we wanted to see on our site. We also had started adding plugins and apps to our website to get those features, but they were slowing it down. Thus, our Shopify success manager recommended doing some development work for what we wanted to achieve, and he connected us with Brad and other Shopify development partners.
We got quotes from various Shopify partners, but Drive Digital’s competitive price was the compelling point for us. Their quote was significantly lower than what the other premium development agencies were asking for. Additionally, they were able to work to meet the deadline we were aiming for.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $30,000–$40,000 AUD (approximately $22,000–$29,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around October 2021, and although they still help us, the bulk of our project is now complete. Our website’s set launch date was January 15, 2022, but we extended it one extra day because they were still fixing bugs. This extra day was really helpful for us because we could prepare our audience for the change.
From the initial scope to launch, we found new areas of our website we would like to develop and update, so I’m looking forward to keeping working with them on future projects as they arise.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since launching our new website, we’ve seen an increase in our add-to-cart and conversion rates, which has helped us get a higher ROI as a result. Additionally, our new website has been well-received by our customers, and they’ve provided very useful verbal and written feedback. Some have praised our website, and others have told us about bugs, which helps us fix them.
Drive Digital made our site very user-friendly, adding useful features like add to cart and improving the product overviews. Additionally, the instructions that they left when delivering the site were incredibly thorough and easy to understand.
How did Drive Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Drive Digital’s project management was fantastic — I can’t speak higher of them. We had a shared Monday.com board, where we put ideas and timelines, as well as our part of the work that involved graphic design. We also had a shared Google Drive folder so that we all could have access to the same assets.
Communication-wise, we communicated with Brad over Slack through a shared channel that included my two directors. We chatted whenever we found bugs or areas of improvement, and Brad was always very prompt to respond, telling us if the change required was within their scope or not. Sometimes, we were shooting for the moon, and Brad always figured out a way to provide us with something realistic and attainable.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Drive Digital’s strength was their ability to collaborate with us through a singular contact point. When working with various people from an external organization, some things may get lost in translation. However, Brad was incredibly engaged from the start. He had a real overview of the project, which made him capable of communicating clearly to his team and ensuring that all the tasks were completed. Additionally, he taught us and helped us learn about UI/UX for Shopify, and he onboarded our ideas to bring them to life.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, everyone in our company speaks highly of Drive Digital — they blew us away.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Take advantage of the first ideation meetings and share as many ideas as you can, no matter how unrealistic they sound. Brad and his team are great at turning ideas into tangible and actionable plans. Drive Digital’s UI/UX knowledge is really beneficial to the success of projects; they’re Shopify experts.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Owner of a sports coaching business. Providing mainly tennis coaching to all ages and abilities in North West London.
For what projects/services did your company hire Drive Digital, and what were your goals?
We hired Drive Digital to make a brand new site. It was important to ensure that some elements of our brand were transferred over from our old site, but in a more modern, sleek design. However, the biggest goal was for them to create a more user friendly site, but also a very functional site of demanding stock inventories and products that have lots of different elements and options for our customers to elect. Despite this we wanted our users journey to be easy and simple to use.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Drive Digital came highly recommended and after an initial meeting it was clear that Brad and his team would be a good fit. They were knowledgeable, helpful and had clearly taken the time to try to understand both my business as a whole and also my needs.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
From the kick off meeting it all went pretty smoothly. Our shared Asana account made sure that everyone always kept up to date on their own tasks and was really clear what was being done when, as well as a very easy way to have ongoing discussions and dialogs.
Wireframes were delivered and then made a reality by their designer and shown to me via Invision, which again was very easy to use and effective way to feedback. Along side this, development was taking place so all elements were finalised not to far away from each other.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I had two main points of contact, and then the 3rd was the designer during his phase. The development team mainly worked behind my two contacts.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since launch, we have had lots of positive comments from customers on both the look, and also user journey, or the new site. Its easy to manage as a business owner, as well as having continued support from Brad.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We used Asana and Invision for main lines of communication, plus email when necessary. We also jumped on zoom calls when needed (only twice). Brad and his team were very hands on, extremely responsive and I was kept up to date the while time.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Knowledgable, helpful, friendly, and produced a very user friendly and sleek looking site. Drive Digital was extremely personable. They are always on hadn't to help.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
As often the case, there were a few bugs/ issues when first launching but these were quickly sorted out.

Web Design & E-Commerce Dev for Online Retailer
"Their level of support was great, especially because of how niche our business is."

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and founder of Tragic Beautiful, an online retailer that sells clothing, accessories, and shoes.
What challenge were you trying to address with Drive Digital?
We hired Drive Digital to help us relaunch our outdated Magento-based website as a new Shopify site.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Drive Digital helped us launch our Shopify site from start to finish. We strategized and planned how to implement the new website from scratch. We provided them with Photoshop mockups of the designs and features we wanted. Additionally, they set up modules and add-ons for all of the features and functionalities we needed. One aspect of the site they really helped streamline was our complicated pre-order system. Before, we used to pay a developer by the hour for every update we needed, but Drive Digital changed the feature so we could do it with the click of a button.
What is the team composition?
Brad (Owner, Drive Digital) was my main point of contact, but he had other designers working with him.
How did you come to work with Drive Digital?
I found Drive Digital on Google. After talking to Brad, he gave us a quote and I found him to be genuine and accessible, especially compared to other companies. He really understood our company, even though we are quite niche, and I appreciated that he cared about us.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $15,000–$20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together on this project from March–June 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Brad’s work was brilliant. Our old website and business were in trouble, but since launching the new site, we’ve seen great turnover for our products. Every month, we’ve had a 30% increase, which is excellent considering online retail is struggling in Australia.
How did Drive Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Brad managed the project fantastically. We used Asana and were incredibly happy with how that worked for us. We liked it so much, we’ve actually started using it within our own organization. Brad was very professional—he was able to support us on both small and large tasks, so we appreciated him.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their level of support was great, especially because of how niche our business is. During our first meeting, Brad took the time to understand us and gather information. Other companies have a more superficial way of going about business, but Brad was honest and open about his approach.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there is nothing for them to improve—we were happy with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be completely honest and upfront about what you want from the engagement.
The improved UI/UX of the client’s site helped them increase their add-to-cart and conversion rates, ultimately increasing their ROI. Drive Digital was very organized, communicative, and helpful. Their Shopify expertise and creativity allowed them to convert big ideas into real solutions.
