Our company is Mr. D. Math. We work in the homeschool market and we provide educational curriculums.
I'm a former math teacher and the owner of the company. I started writing math curriculums for school students back in 2010. We’ve grown a bit since then and now have other courses available for young people that do homeschooling like American Sign Language and writing courses.
We also have computer programming and other things in the works as well as a college and career readiness program.
What challenge were you trying to address with Dreamhouse Marketing?
We needed social media marketing and I wanted to find a company that understood both homeschooling and social media.
What was the scope of their involvement?
What Dreamhouse Marketing does for us is they manage our Facebook page, write blogs, and manage our two websites - the business website where all our programs are and the curriculum website where people can go once they become customers.
For the blogs, we brainstorm ideas, they send me content, and we go back and forth on edits. They’re also getting ready to take over our Instagram and Pinterest page.

Our customer base has doubled every year in the time we’ve been working together — which is four years in a row. We also don’t get any complaints on our social media.
How did Dreamhouse Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
We use email and WhatsApp to communicate and keep things on target as I request. She does it the way that I like because I keep track of everything through my email system.

Working with them is like working with a partner as opposed to a supplier. They work with their customers, learning about them, worrying about their customer’s target market, who the audience is, and they are interested in the goals that we're out to achieve. They’re invested in our success.

I’m the founder of Made Cleveland, an entrepreneur incubator program for local creatives. On the surface level, we’re like an Etsy for Cleveland.
What challenge were you trying to address with Dreamhouse Marketing?
I have a pretty basic understanding of marketing and social media, but as a business owner and the only team member focusing on so many things, I definitely needed a bit of help. I figured it would be beneficial to have someone support me in that.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Dreamhouse Marketing provides marketing strategy and execution support. Mallory (Founder) also provides a consulting package, so she does more than just helping us execute on the strategy. She’s also great at networking, so she’s able to help us tap into the locality we exist in and do more outreach. She helps us find more resources and marketing opportunities.
We also have a content calendar and help make it easy for me to execute. For example, we recently spoke about photography and building out some services for our Made Cleveland’s vendor partners.

Most ad agencies don’t offer that consulting approach and I’d been underwhelmed with other vendors’ offerings. I liked that Mallory instantly understood what I was trying to accomplish and made amazing recommendations.

So far, we’ve invested around $500. We haven’t dived too deeply into any of the projects yet, but I imagine we’ll be investing much more in the future.

The bulk of our communication is done through email, but we use spreadsheets for tracking thoughts and ideas. As we continue to grow our relationship, I imagine we’ll implement some more software solutions.
