Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Shunpiker Productions LLC; we do writing, photography, productions, and event management.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Dorset Creative?
I was in a project where I was asked to preserve an awards program for automotive journalism, so I was aiming to redesign this awards project through a new website and an e-commerce platform.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Dorset Creative built a website from scratch for us using WordPress. We had only a couple of months to have the site up and running, but it only took them a couple of weeks to get it done.
In addition, after they launched the site, they developed social media and marketing programs that included designed printed materials.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two members of their team, including Steve (Owner) and someone from their tech team.
How did you come to work with Dorset Creative?
They were referred to us by a business associate in a networking organization I was involved in.
How much have you invested in them?
I spent $10,000–$25,000 with them for this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from February–March 2018.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The website has worked extremely efficiently; the platform helped us promote and manage the project, including accepting entries from international journalists.
How did Dorset Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management has been very solid. Regarding tools, we’ve used MailChimp and emails.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their ability to customize the project to my needs was outstanding compared to other providers. They were very effective in dealing with an organization like us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — I was very happy with their work.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend people working with them; they’re a very competent organization. Also, Steve is very wise and intuitive — whenever I describe what I’m looking for, he's very good at understanding what I’m talking about.
