I’m the co-founder of MyCorr Life. It’s a membership site and digital content subscription site.

What challenge were you trying to address with Do Good Design Co.?

We needed to figure out a brand strategy and MVP of an online project to test the market and gather data.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with them on everything from brand strategy to the design of the site and the development of our online product. They also did copywriting and implemented e-commerce features. The site was built on WordPress and features several different plug-ins that help with the digital content delivery capabilities and membership subscription.

Once all the strategy for the MVP was in place and we had the product in hand, they did the marketing analysis. Working with a third part, Do Good Design Co. and we tested out different markets to gather data about how things were performing. Then, we made decisions about how we would move forward into the next phase of our business.

What is the team composition?

I worked with one resource, primarily, who was the company head. We then worked together with a marketing resource. It was a very hands-on and personal experience, in terms of getting to know who we were working with.

How did you come to work with Do Good Design Co.?

We’d known about them through word-of-mouth recommendations.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $40,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March until August 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project goals as they related to testing the market space and building an MVP were met with great success. What they created really fit what we were looking to design. They were able to take our idea and flesh it out, putting robust meat on its bones. They actually clarified our vision in certain ways.

From an aesthetic and usability standpoint, they did very well too. They created a very beautiful product that’s also intuitive on both the front- and backend. Finally, they were able to give us rich feedback on how the site was performing regarding language and branding and user engagement.

How did Do Good Design Co. perform from a project management standpoint?

Through their design process, we assessed what was working well. We strengthened those pieces and ensured we could be as agile as possible in reacting to the market in the future. They used a specific management tool that helped us have a dialogue and work in coordination with one another.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There was a great level of professionalism and business sense they brought to the project. Not only were they able to create a strategy and design an MVP, but they were also able to weave in business consulting throughout the process, which was welcomed and appreciated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I was trying to think, leading into this call, if there was anything I wanted to say about this but we had a really great experience. Their communication and adaptability were both great. From a project perspective, they were great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We’d happily recommend them to other companies.

Project scope:

• Brand Design
• Brand Style Guide

• Two marketing videos

We provided:

• Materials as a context for Opportunity Lab overall business strategy as well as previous drafts of a brand strategy
• Materials detailing Opportunity Lab offerings and draft language to describe them on our website
• Samples of styles and brands we feel were aligned with our vision along with image and video samples
• Initial drafts of scripts for the marketing videos
• Overall consistent guidance and detailed feedback on all aspects of the rebranding and the web design process.

What was the team composition?

We had a dedicated project manager on the Opportunity Lab side corresponding most frequently with the Do Good Design Co. team. From the vendor side, the team consisted of a project manager, creative director, the firm's founder and several designers and developers.

During our engagement, Do Good Design Co. went through a restructuring, a project manager we initially worked with left the firm and at the end leg of the project the team we interacted with changed somewhat.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As a result of the project, Opportunity Lab now has:

• A defined brand reflective of our mission and goals.
• Improved Opportunity Lab community engagement
• A robust set of tools we use heavily throughout our business activities: program and product design, business development, marketing, talent acquisition.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

While we invested time in dedicating a project manager from our side to communicate with Do Good Design Co., we felt that the project manager on Do Good Design Co.'s side was very dedicated to our project, communicative and a great problem solver working hard to ensure all our needs were addressed.

When Do Good Design Co.'s team was restructured we were at the end tail of the engagement and felt that the founder was accommodating of our requests.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Above all, Do Good Design Co.'s commitment to conscious business practices and to supporting organizations working to change the world is what makes them stand out. Furthermore, a desire to deeply understand their clients' missions and to develop best fitting brand messaging has been quite impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Project management is key in these engagements. If we had to name one area for improvement it would be investing in an additional project management resource by Do Good Design Co., which they already did at the time of this review.

I'm the owner and operator of Daily Fantasy Sports Rankings, LLC, a daily fantasy sports website. I handle day-to-day operations and editorial content.

For what projects/services did your company hire JN&Co?

Our website was badly in need of a better sales funnel, landing page, digital marketing strategy, and content management plan. We approached JN&Co to facilitate the complete overhaul of our outdated practices/pages.

What were your goals for this project?

We set out to initiate a site rebranding. This included better visioning around our core messages, sales funnel, digital marketing strategy, and content management plan.

One of JN&Co’s previous clients, someone I knew personally, recommended them to us.

Describe the project in detail.

JN&Co began by researching our industry and outlining best practices regarding marketing to potential customers. After determining our key marketing and sales funnel strengths, JN&Co outlined a clear digital marketing and email strategy to optimize gains we’d already made. Finally, they redesigned and implemented a new landing and sales pages.

What was the team composition?

We worked closely with John (President, JN&Co) and one other resource, who envisioned our new strategy. JN&Co also has a full team of designers and developers who’re implementing the strategy behind the scenes.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is still ongoing, but we’ve already seen better conversions through social media.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow has been seamless. Considering that our team is entirely remote, we've had no issue with communication, timelines, or brainstorming.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They work with us on a very personal level without losing sight of the larger industry.
