Our lead developer is based in Ukraine so when the Russian Invasion started, we needed a team to take over development of our web app during his absence.

We chose Divisio based on their professionalism, communication skills and in-depth knowledge of our stack.

We started off with a review of the existing codebase and Divisio wrote clear and comprehensive documentation in English to make sure we were on the same page. From there they moved forward with the outstanding tasks on our Jira board.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Divisio generally exceeded our expecations. Their code was careful and bug-free. Our users' experience improved and our growth increased to 10% week-on-week.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We communicated daily with their project manager, and resolved issues quickly. They spoke fluent English and overlapped a lot with our timezone. We used Slack and Jira to communicate effectively.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their attention to quality assurance was excellent. The codebase they inherited was complex and poorly documented, and yet they quickly got up to speed and made improvements which were bug-free. This is a testament to their careful attention to process and project management, following software best practices.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Initially we took the role of project manager and communicated with their developers, who were sometimes unresponsive due to being deep in the code. They fixed this by assigning us a project manager, freeing up their developers to be more productive.

We’ve worked with four people from Divisio, two of which are our main points of contact: Rodrigo (CTO) and a developer.
How did you come to work with Divisio?
We found Divisio through Upwork. Their portfolio and the technology stack they used matched closely with what we needed.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in the first quarter of 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Development is a creative process, so it is hard to provide exact metrics. Still, we’re very pleased with our current product, and the reviews from test users are very good.
How did Divisio perform from a project management standpoint?
Divisio has performed very well. We have weekly Zoom meetings and use Jira to manage the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Divisio has a comprehensive staff, so they can bring in different staff members for our various needs — it has been a good thing to have.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think so. With the appropriate level of funding, Divisio can do pretty much anything.

Work closely with the CTO, Rodrigo. He's brilliant, very organized, and great to work with.
