An intelligent way of handling communication between creditors and debtors
The Tool is a smartphone app and Web service that provides Debtors and Creditors with an easy, secure and engaging way to settle their debts.
Divectors was commissioned to design and build the mobile app for debtors and web application for the creditor companies that are intended to make the whole process of handling private debts easier by dealing with all the communication between the debtor and the creditor.
The solutions implemented by Divectors include:
Designing the intellectual system of credit calculator that helps users define the best offer in terms of user savings and high probability to get the deal with creditor;
● Designing the debts lifecycle from drafting to requesting the loan and receiving the answer;
● Outlining these flows for both creditors and debtors versions of the app;
● Introducing gamification elements by rewarding users for sharing the application with their friends. As a token of appreciation, users can get referrals that can be as credits.
Using React, React Native, .Net core and Firebase infrastructure has enabled us to speed up the development.
A lot of attention has been paid to monitoring and alerting functionality to guarantee that future application support teams will be well-informed about the current state of the application and will be able to respond quickly to issues that may occur.

A single tenant solution that allows running multiple studies simultaneously
Health decisions is a clinical trial management company that provides its services for running and maintaining clinical trials.
Divectors was commissioned to build a single-tenant solution that would allow running multiple studies at the same time.
The main challenge was that electronic data records had to be highly protected and isolated while each study had to support multiple environments where changes applied to the study could be developed, tested and approved.
We designed the system using .NET stack of technologies. The system consists of a web application and several services responsible for database and data management. We created separate dynamic language runtime (DLR) that allows writing custom equations within the system to manipulate data and change the structure of a trial based on the data entered.
As a result, now our client successfully runs multiple studies using their own platform.

Building centralized data repositories to drive valuable insights from data
Our client, a global alliance of healthcare and technological companies built around the idea of digitizing different kinds of health data and utilizing AI to derive insights from that data, had a tremendous amount of data which was accumulated during a long period of time and was not concentrated in one location. The data was not utilized for business insights or decision-making purposes.
This created a need to build centralized data repositories to support data exploration and analytics workload, as well as data sources for other repositories.
Data Lake (DL) and Data Warehouse (DWH) were built as a pair of company-wide reference data repositories. DL used as a centralized storage of non-structured and semi-structured information, as well as the storage for “raw” structured data from individual products. DWH, in opposite, used as a repository of well-prepared, trusted datasets for data analysis and self-service analytics.

Creating a centralized place for all the integrated data sources for a pharmaceutical company
Our client is a leading technology-enabled life science services company that simplifies how patients get on and stay on drug therapies.
After acquisition the company faced challenges with integrating data from various data sources. Due to the diversity of data, data analysis became difficult and time-consuming.
As a solution to the problem we proposed to design and implement Data Warehouse aimed to serve as central repository for all integrated data sources. Since customer required to gather data from diverse data sources like flat files and different databases, we had to define the approach for data integration
- Structured and up-to-date key data co-location in cloud EDW
- Separate cloud DB to load and store low value or inconsistent data for further review and analysis
- Ability to review data load progress and track the process
- PHI sensitive data de-identified

Building a reliable and scalable solution for real-time stock data processing.
Our client is a big player on stock exchange market. They approached us to help them build an ecosystem for market data processing.
The data had to be extracted, aggregated, notification rules applied and emails sent to the stakeholders. Another requirement was that the storage ecosystem/data processors had to be located in Azure Cloud.
Taking into account our customer’s requirement to avoid whenever possible custom code development, we have built streaming application based on Talend for Big Data in the scope of our work.

Automated data exchange solution
Our client is a world’s leading disability advocacy organization.
As a requirement from the state, their goal was to eliminate manual data processing and provide secure automated data exchange with the state.
We have suggested to build a set of technological solutions to support its fiscal intermediary services (FIS). This included a set of XML, JSON and reporting interfaces between the organization’s internal technology systems and the entities of the state they operate in.
Another step was to replace a traditional manual workflow with automated systems and introduce centralized repository for the key business data entities and file exchange storage.
Results:
- Manual data processing in terms of data received from state was decreased by 70%;
- The file transfer was automated and data quality significantly improved.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Group Senior Manager at Virgin mobile MEA headquartered in Dubai, UAE. We are one of the mobile provider in the GCC with multiple live operations and millions of active customers.
For what projects/services did your company hire Divectors?
Our services are exponentially growing and so the requirements and change requests are inadequate. We are definitely in need of some support to implement data governance across Opco's . since we dont have bandwidth or resources to do it in-house, we have outsourced the implementation scope to Divectors team.
What were your goals for this project?
Our major goal to understand the existing processes, work flows, change requests and to define a data governance road map and make the process efficient and user friendly.
How did you select Divectors?
we have explored multiple companies and interviewed several candidates to outsource the implementation. we are very much satisfied with the technical knowledge and skill sets from the Divectors team. Divectors management are very professional. they understand our requirement and considered our budget limitation and provided us with a decent service fee.
Describe the project in detail.
we had a series of meetings to discuss about the objectives and timelines. Interviews were conducted with different stakeholders to understand the existing processes and workflow. DG roadmap is defined and also created DG Council to nominate a DG Champions in each department. A process flow was created to improve the change request management.
What was the team composition?
the team consists of a data architect and data integration engineer. we have daily standups and weekly catchup meetings to discuss about the scope and project status. we also have a weekly catchup call with the project manager to discuss about the teams performance and timelines.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
the project was completed in the expected timelines. even though we had some challenges internally with respect to invoicing and legal formalities , Divectors team supported us with extreme patience and helped us in achieving the goals.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
communication is extremely easy and the team is always available to reach out. We used slack channel to coordinate between ourselves and Jira to track the project objectives. The project manager was very efficient and proactive in terms of coordination and reacting to the needs.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
It is always the knowledge and skillset that is needed for the DG implementation. The team possess vast experience in Data Governance implementations in multiple domains. They are technically strong to understand the data architecture, databases and tools. the team also has good coordination and works extremely well in Agile atmosphere.
Are there any areas for improvement?
there is always a scope for improvement. my suggestion would be to improve the leadership qualities and to take full control and responsibility to drive the project effectively with minimal guidance.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO of a software startup.
What challenge were you trying to address with Divectors?
We needed short term additional assistance for ETL data modeling.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They worked on doing the coding for the data model, data extraction reporting, reporting engine work, and more for us. They did a bunch of the backend data architecture of our solution.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two senior members of their team.
How did you come to work with Divectors?
They were introduced to us by another contractor that we were using. We liked their strong background on the data architecture side and he was very clear on what the scope would look like before we went ahead.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent roughly $75,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from January 2019 to January 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It was very discreet work that was easily measurable because it was fundamental to the software we were building. If you look at delivery velocity, delivery timeline, and any defects coming from the work they were strong on all three fronts. The velocity was great, they consistently delivered on time, and the work didn't have any defects.
How did Divectors perform from a project management standpoint?
We were on Jira and had standup. They were excellent at communicating.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their technical knowledge and capabilities were incredibly compelling. They were highly technically adept, at least through the data modeling architecture piece. We had complex requirements that were easily grasped and able to be delivered upon.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nothing comes to mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Like any contractor, define requirements clearly and find expectations on how you're going to work together. We did all those things and it worked out well.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Malmo Software Development. It’s a small organization working to develop an application.
What challenge were you trying to address with Divectors?
We were searching for developers to work closely with us through the entire development journey of an application. We were dealing with a sensitive product and service requiring a high level of security.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We spent a few weeks together working to come up with the technical specifications and work out details of the project.
They’re doing the entire development, backend, and UX. They created an MVP and developed the app in a user-friendly manner, working closely with required authorities. They secured each step, working in sprints.
The app helps people who have problems with debt and are unable to pay it. The widget they developed is for creditors. The solution is for both B2B and B2C.
What is the team composition?
There were 16–19 people who worked on the project.
How did you come to work with Divectors?
Our previous CTO had worked with them on a project in another company and had a good experience. We contacted several companies initially before narrowing it down to two.
The Divectors team had the flexibility and adaptability we were looking for, as well as good relations within the university landscape. That was a positive for us as we deal with complicated algorithms, and those connections would be useful. They also were flexible when solidifying the contract, which took about four months of negotiations.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $500,000–$1,000,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2019, with the goal of launching in a year. COVID-19 has affected the project, but we’re still working together.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re very pleased with the collaboration. The look and feel of the prototype are good. I would say their technological skill is superior to their UX skill, which is still good.
How did Divectors perform from a project management standpoint?
There are different nationalities involved in the solution, and there were some communication issues initially with how to address problems or challenges. Working in the Scrum method helped the flow of the project. Their way of reporting and providing information to the team, and team leaders, works great. We use different shared platforms and had our meetings in Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their way of visualizing the project while approaching it with the flexibility to adapt and change throughout the process really stands out to me. They’re better than other companies I’ve worked with in the past. I would say that technology and development are their greatest skills.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not really. We had minor issues in terms of what is doable or not, and reporting that in time, but I believe it’s partly a cultural thing due to the various nationalities working together.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be extremely specific about what you want, and give them all the requirements and expectations. It’s okay to not know all the technical answers, but know what you expect from the finished product.

We had bi-weekly sprints with joint planning meetings at the start and demos at the end. Communication happened over a Zoom channel.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We had issues to provide the connectivity to internal and cloud systems for Divectors. Divectors immediately set up their own Cloud accounts to start the POCs.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really.
