Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We had a massive redesign for a home builders website that needed to showcase previous home builds as well as current home builds that were for sale. The website needed to cleary show the 3 tiers (different entry level) homes and (later a 4th) that they offered as well as make customers feel like they had a good understanding of the process which would assist in building buyer's trust.

We wanted some interactive features on the website and to implement video across the website but without bogging the site down. Diluceo was really great at prepping all the files to ensure the site loaded with quickly. A highlighted interactive feature that our client still raves about today is on the Modular Home page.

We implented a widget as a "building your modular home" where customers could choose between colour palettes, cabinet colours/styles, finishing styles and so forth. At the end of this process they can submit their preferences to the home builders as a way to initiate a build conversation.

This element has increased sales for our customer and contiues to be one of the best performing pages on the website.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

As much as we want every project to run on time, it's not always realistic so not ever phase was delivered on time however, everything was delivered within a timelinly manner. They were very cumminicative when a problem arose that required more time to resolve and what they were always proactive with ideas for solutions. I was very statisfied with our working partnership.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Diluceo can do so much with such a small team and deliver high-end results. It was never work just slapped together and handed over. I felt they really listened to needs, translated needs, and could provide various options to meet different budget levels. And they're just great people with good values and working ethics. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Diluceo could have done differently?

Time management (again, not 100% on them); but being more realistic about timelines in some areas. A little more foresight on the level of flexible future changes (ex:  clients that will always pay for edits and don't want to do them or client's that need to be abe to manage some edits completely on their own and so where can we build this in?). Being more on time with invoices.

Diluco has provided us with comprehensive marketing services, including persona creation, strategic planning, and website design and hosting. They also coach my team on social media marketing and serve as my go to when it comes to our marketing strategists. We engaged Diluco to roll out our marketing efforts, and they have shown us how skilled they are at every step. Initially, they created detailed personas and a strategic plan that helped us redefine our goals, and find some alignment. 

Their website design for us is exceptional, showcasing their remarkable talent and understanding of our brand. Additionally, Diluco hosts the site, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently. Their coaching on social media marketing has empowered our team, significantly improving our online presence. Diluco has become our go-to partner for all marketing strategies, consistently providing valuable insights and guidance. 

We are thrilled with their work and look forward to continuing our partnership.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our website has been completed, it’s an active site that we can direct our donors to, We have been able to process donations through their site and showcase progress photos. They have given tangible assistance when it comes to coaching my team in social media marketing. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Diluco managed the website project comprehensively, taking charge of everything from incorporating our personas and mood board to final execution. Although the delivery time for the website was longer than we initially hoped, and there were some misunderstandings regarding task responsibilities when it came to social media tasks, these challenges were mitigated by their willingness to donate their time to our project. 

We understand the importance of prioritizing their paying clients, and we appreciate the effort and dedication they’ve shown in supporting us. Paying clients would have rightly taken first president. They are well tapped into today’s culture and this is absolutely key for a quality product.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Diluca didn’t hesitate to take our project on, and their willingness to donate their talent is absolutely incredible to us. When we saw how informative and skilled they are, we trusted we were in good hands. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Diluceo could have done differently?

• Timely communication: Timely communication is key and could have helped us meet our financial targets quicker. Due to being a non-profit, and needing to push out marketing in time for year-end donations, we were reliant on a specific scheduled and heavily leaned on their expertise. 
• Clear Expectations for Client and for the Service Provider: We learned that this would have helped both our team and Diluco. Without this, we had some misunderstandings that put us in a bit of a bind. However, we own our part in this and we are grateful for our partnership.

I'm the career counselor and coach at Rebecca Beaton Career Coaching. I offer one-on-one and group programs to help clients with career transitions.

I hired Diluceo to help me with my website and graphic design needs.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Diluceo has designed and developed my WordPress website, and I’ve asked them to do little updates all the time. They’ve helped me design and lay out my landing and sales pages; their teammates have also implemented those sites. 

Recently, we’ve set up an online quiz and put it on my website. Moreover, they’re working on making the site more mobile-friendly and improving my SEO and page loading speed — they’ve helped me transfer to a new hosting provider to speed up the site. However, they haven’t directy worked on SEO tasks yet. I’ve done the keyword research and backlinks by myself. 

For branding, Diluceo has helped me put together a branding package that I can use for all the other materials I create. They’ve helped me pick my brand colors and fonts. 

What is the team composition?

I mainly work with Aline (UX Manager & Consultant) and Mairin (Project Manager). 

How did you come to work with Diluceo?

I found Diluceo through a Facebook referral group. Someone referred me to them, and I looked at some of their past work. I liked their previous work, so we started the engagement.

We’ve invested around $25,000 in their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in January 2019, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I like the landing pages Diluceo has created; they convert well, and I’ve been quite happy with the number of signups I’ve gotten compared to how much I’ve promoted them. Although I mainly do the SEO tasks myself, they offer suggestions. I’m not an expert, so I appreciate their suggestions about SEO and similar things. 

How did Diluceo perform from a project management standpoint?

They have great communication and are responsive. They always get back to my emails, and if they can’t complete a task right away, they let me know when they can do it. In other words, they’re super reliable, so I feel truly lucky to have them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with how reliable they are. Diluceo has been my go-to website service provider, and they’re quite accommodating to my requests. It’s difficult to find reliable and consistent teams that I can lean on for little things here and there, but their team has been truly amazing. I’m super grateful to have found them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be afraid to ask for changes. Outputs won’t always hit right the first time, and Diluceo is truly accommodating. Given that, speak up if you don’t like something, and they’ll change it.

What challenge were you trying to address with Diluceo?

We needed support to make changes to our organization's website, which I had built.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, I sent Diluceo an email listing the issues I had. I didn't have the technical language to articulate our problems, but the team translated my email and came back with recommendations. Diluceo provided a high-rate and low-rate budget that I presented to my board for approval. We then had a follow-up call to clarify some of my requirements and additions.

Diluceo helped me edit our WordPress website since I was having issues I couldn't resolve in the backend, specifically in linking our site with an external software we use for donor and account management. We also requested Diluceo to create a blog since I had issues making a streamlined blog that was easy to find for our visitors. The team helped create blog posts I could edit and updated the site to be mobile responsive. Diluceo made suggestions regarding best practices, usability, and UI.
What is the team composition?

We worked with Mairin (Project Manager), Aline (UX Manager, UI Designer Specialist, UX Consultant, Manager & Strategy Lead), and Ronald (Co-Founder).

How did you come to work with Diluceo?

I had previously worked with Mairin on a different web services project.

We spent $1,900 CAD (approximately $1,400 USD) on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We engaged with Diluceo between April–June 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Diluceo's work met my expectations, and the team was easy to work with. I appreciated Diluceo's support because we're a nonprofit, and it's important for us not to miss opportunities to receive financial support from a donor or have new members sign up for our newsletter. 

How did Diluceo perform from a project management standpoint?

Diluceo's work came in under budget. We had some communication issues, and although the team delivered work on time, I wasn't aware when the work was completed. However, part of this lack of communication was because I was very busy with my job. We communicated via email and Google Meet.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Mairin was intuitive and understood what I was trying to communicate. She anticipated my questions, which was great since I'm not very tech-savvy, and it was hard to articulate exactly what I was trying to achieve. Mairin helped me establish my needs, and I appreciated the experience she brought in terms of web navigation and UI.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We initially had communication issues. However, I shared my concerns with Diluceo, and the team was happy to make the necessary changes. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I suggest staying engaged with Diluceo and communicating frequently to follow up on the project's status.
