The company is a social commerce company that does data and analytics for celebrity endorsement and licensing campaigns. I’m co-founder and CEO.

What challenge were you trying to address with Digitalya OPS?

We wanted to develop a minimum viable product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The app is an API framework based in the cloud that plugs into the APIs of several social commerce platforms as well as affiliate networks. There’s some custom built technology around certain e-commerce sites such as Wix, Woo Commerce, WordPress and Shopify.

How did you come to work with Digitalya OPS?

I found them on a site that collaborated with a lot of freelance developers. They gave a very thorough proposal with references and a previous portfolio along with a competitive quote. They had a lot of interest in what we were doing.

How much have you invested with Digitalya OPS?

We have spent between $10,000 and $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working them in March 2016 and it took three months to build the initial product. We kept them on retainer for several months to help debug and take the product live. We’re still engaged with them to do enhancements on the app.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We’ve gotten feedback from people that have been really impressed with the user interface/user experience. We have gotten the code independently audited and stress tested and everyone is very happy.

How did Digitalya OPS perform from a project management standpoint?

Our point of contact was Ovi, who is the owner. Ovi was extremely professional to work with. We communicated almost daily. When we stressed urgency in some features, he worked accordingly. They were always able to meet deadlines. He had a team of nine developers working on the project.

What did you find most impressive about Digitalya OPS?

Their communication was one of their strengths. Their cost has always been more than fair. We’ve always had confidence in their team.

Are there any areas Digitalya OPS could improve?

Sometimes they try to roll things out too quickly and might sacrifice a quality check to do so. I find things that they have to go back and fix.

I’m the IT manager at 2assistU GmbH, a company that provides quality assurance tools and training mainly for companies handling air freight.

For what projects/services did your company hire Digitalya OPS?

They’re currently working on developing a web-based system that will allow us, as well as our clients, to manage, plan, and execute internal audits regarding safety, security, and quality in air freight. It’s also a sophisticated tool to analyze collected data.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals include having all our data in one system, to audit management, and allowing auditees to follow up online on their findings and to report measurements taken.

We first connected through guru.com and have been in touch for other smaller projects

The project began in April 2017 and is currently in the development phase. The system should go into production no later than June 2018.

The team consists of senior developers as well as junior developers and a project leader.

They work very efficiently.

How effective was the project management?

They provide excellent communication and are highly receptive to feedback. All deadlines have been met so far and they’re very respectful.

As a client, it is well noticeable that people love to work for this company—each and every employee is highly motivated. Furthermore, the company provides internship and supports new IT talent, which is definitely a positive value.
