For what projects/services did your company hire Digitalkit Agency?

The project "Support of the Ukraine Energy Efficiency Fund (EEF) and the climate-friendly Reform Agenda (S2I)" (hereinafter referred to as the GIZ Project) was launched in 2018 by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, which has been successfully operating in Ukraine since 2008 on behalf of the Federal Ministry of the Environment, protection of nature, nuclear safety and consumer protection of Germany (Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz, nukleare Sicherheit und Verbraucherschutz, BMUV).

The purpose of the GIZ Project is to support the Ukrainian government in building operational work and strategic development of the Energy Efficiency Fund and the S2I concept. For this purpose, the purposeful development of the potential and professional skills of both employees of the Fund and representatives of the construction market and providers of relevant services (project designers, energy auditors and construction companies) is being implemented.

The GIZ Project hired Digital Kit Agency for development of interactive UX and UI prototypes both for renovated Energy Efficiency Fund’s websites and new Marketplace web platform development.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We made market research between 7 companies in Ukraine. Then we've shortlisted 3 and had an online interview. Afterwards we had chosen Digital Kit Agency as the best both in technical and financial side.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Given in the future, the need to expand, update and modernize the existing website of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the purpose of this task of the Digital Kit Agency was to create a UX/UI prototype using the Figma web application the entire Fund's website, including the marketplace and the calculator for HomeOwner Associations (HoAs), which will demonstrate its structure in detail.

The prototype had to:

• visualize the idea of the project – integrating the marketplace and calculator for HoAs into the website and updating the website itself
• to serve as the basis for technical requirements for further transfer to developers of IT solutions
• provide an opportunity to more accurately assess the timing of work on the development of the site in the future and the budget of such works
• provide an opportunity to make changes in the early stages of work at the cost of minimal costs.

The scope of works was the following:

• Conceptual design – interviewing the EEF staff for determination of purposes of Marketplace and updated websites.
• Visual design – complex re-designing of existing EEF websites and bringing the design of all EEF web products to a common style. Creation of the UX/UI interactive prototype.
• Writing the functional specifications for further implementation of Marketplace and EEF websites update.
• Conducting a user study on the interactive prototypes and their upgrade based on the user's feedback.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

My team worked directly with the UX/UI designers and the team leader.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Currently both Marketplace and EEF websites are under development. The expected launch date – spring 2023.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was smooth and effective. We had communication with team leader both via e-mail and cell phone. We had scheduled weekly meetings in online format as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive in Digital Kit Agency is their willingness to dive deep into the problem, make research and afterwards provide 100% accurate proposals for implementation both functionality and visual issues. Digitalkit Agency has a very client-oriented, professional, and creative team.

It was our pleasure to work with them during 9 months of performance of our Contract. They have an incredible ability of interdisciplinary thinking and meeting the deadlines which makes Digital Kit Agency the best service provider in web design that GIZ Project worked with so far.
