Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of IT and CIO of a food and beverage company. We manufacture and sell foods across North America.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Yalo, LLC?
I original website was built on a proprietary CMS, so we had to rely on our previous development company to make any changes. In order to take control of our platform, we decided to migrate to WordPress.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We hired Digital Yalo to migrate 60 websites to WordPress and set up hosting with AWS. Not only did they migrate all the websites, but they added SEO features, made them ADA-compliant and upgraded the look and feel of the websites.
They’ve also helped us build a number of different pop-up sites for our innovation brands. Finally, they advised on many different aspects of digital marketing, such as Google Analytics. Now they manage our websites and make sure they remain ADA-compliant.
What is the team composition?
We work with three people now, but during the initial project, we worked with six people. Arnold (Founder & CEO) was our main point of contact, but Chris (Director & Executive Client Leader) is our day-to-day project manager.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in January 2020 and our partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We now have a properly working customer-facing website, and many of our customers have complimented our websites. They appreciate the where-to-buy function on the platform.
Our internal stakeholders are happy with the website as well. Through our partnership, we save about $100,000 per year in support.
How did Digital Yalo, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re excellent project managers. The CEO is very involved in every project and Chris was a fantastic project manager. They communicate well to our steering committee and our stakeholders.
They had a short timeline — they had to get everything done by the end of the year, and they were able to complete everything on time and on budget.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re up to date on the latest technologies and trends. I am really happy with their work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They haven’t anything wrong.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Hold a meeting with Digital Yalo, LLC and all of your stakeholders. Let your stakeholders talk about what their vision is. Otherwise, your scope of work could creep.

Our concept was shared with our customers and met our business objectives, it was successful and we are now moving into building out this project
