Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a development manager at a food nonprofit. We help grow healthy foods, healthy kids, and healthy communities.

What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Moxie Studio?

We normally go to schools to teach our education programs, but because of COVID-19, we had to take everything online. In relation to that, we started making our own videos but realized that we needed professional videographers instead. In the end, we hired Digital Moxie Studio.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provide all the content of all our educational programs. Digital Moxie Studio serves as an editor and director of our films.

So far, we’ve already completed one drone footage video. Additionally, the team finished creating something from scratch and turning it into a full video.

What is the team composition?

We collaborate with Margaux (Director, Video Producer & Editor) and two other people who handle video coverage.

How did you come to work with Digital Moxie Studio?

My executive director hired them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $6,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started mid-August 2020, and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They have always done what we wanted and we felt like the latest end product they produced was exactly what we were expecting. Overall, we explained our vision and everything has been working pretty seamlessly.

How did Digital Moxie Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

During the shoot, they show up on time and get everything done. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have been good listeners and are always ready to roll.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We were in a do-it-yourself place and when they came in, I don't think the members we have for the production were used to being directed. In the end, they didn't feel comfortable. However, we know that the team has been professional.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Approach them with a precise picture of what you want.

I’m the community engagement manager at a children’s environmental health nonprofit focused on education around healthy homes and lead poisoning prevention.

What challenges were you trying to address with Digital Moxie Studio?

We hired them to help with annual fundraiser videos and a PSA campaign we’re doing with the city of Omaha.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first video they worked on highlighted our recent collaboration with the Omaha Star, Nebraska’s oldest newspaper. Since then, they’ve developed multiple videos that we use at our annual fundraisers.

We work with them collaboratively to come up with concepts for our videos. They’ve produced videos with varying degrees of guidance from us.

My main point of contact is Margaux (Owner). 

How did you come to work with Digital Moxie Studio?

My organization was already working with them when I started in this position. 

How much have you invested in them?

I think we’ve invested between $10,000-$15,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve looked at some metrics including Facebook analytics. For our newest PSA campaign, we are also looking to track the actions that viewers take. 

How did Digital Moxie Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve performed very well. They follow up quickly and are professional. Even though it can take some time for us to get grant approvals for our campaigns, they’re always ready when we are. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is passionate about what they do, and it shows through in their work. They get invested in each project that they work on. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. We’ve had nothing but great results from them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

Allowing them to have flexibility in their work leads to great results. They’re creative and are experts in visual storytelling.
