A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing manager for a nationwide engineering firm that’s based out of Atlanta.
What challenge were you trying to address with The Digital Media House?
We were looking to create a more engaging website experience for our visitors.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The Digital Media House worked to deliver a website that employs cutting-edge technologies and features. We wanted a solution that would set us up for the next few years. The team took our branding guidelines into consideration but pushed beyond our previous creative boundaries to create something truly new.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Macrae (CEO & Founder). I know he had a larger team behind him, but he was my direct point of contact.
How did you come to work with The Digital Media House?
They were a referral from a different web developer whose work was incredible. We’d originally reached out to her, but she didn’t have the capacity at the moment. She recommended The Digital Media House. We vetted several organizations and companies but felt that they were the best fit from the very beginning.
How much have you invested in the engagement so far?
Since the inception of our partnership, we’ve probably spent around $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement started in June 2019, and it’s an ongoing relationship. They’re currently developing a webpage for us.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We operate in a rather niche industry, but we’ve received many comments about how our website outshines those of our competitors. The site is very high-caliber, quality-wise. We’ve even had a few customers who decided to work with us after being impressed by our site layout.
The team came up with a visual identity that both adheres to our general branding guidelines while incorporating some more innovative components. I’d highlight how reasonable their pricing was, as well.
How did The Digital Media House perform from a project management standpoint?
The Digital Media House not only delivered what we asked for but did so without us having to use technical jargon to explain our needs. They were also very timely and communicative.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I liked how I didn’t have to micromanage at all. I’m very specific about what I need, but I could always trust their process and people. I was confident that their delivery would be the best quality. They’re clearly very passionate about what they do. They’re down to earth, easy to work with, and felt like an extension of my own team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not that I can think of.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d encourage clients to give their team the full creative power and freedom to make choices.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Digital Media House?

What was the scope of their involvement?
First, they did a bit of research and asked about my personal brand. Then, they did a complete revamp of my site, including SEO.
What is the team composition?
I worked with 3–4 people from their team.
How did you come to work with The Digital Media House?
I saw the work that they’d done in the past and I liked it. We were in the same building, which is how I knew of them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2015, and we wrapped up in June 2015.

The website is better than what I had before and it’s filled my needs.
How did The Digital Media House perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicated via phone and in-person meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team was persistent and really cared. They wanted to reflect my brand properly and it showed.

Advertising for Consulting Company
“They don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. They have a willingness and interest to work with their customers.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of The Free Agent. We look for executive-level subject matter experts with backgrounds in sales and marketing. Then, we go into high growth tech companies with revenues in the $10 million–$200 million range that are rapidly growing but don’t have the resident executive personnel on tap. We go into these companies, understand their gaps, and bring in an executive-level personnel to help them overcome those gaps.
What challenge were you trying to address with The Digital Media House?
We work with them on advertising campaigns. They’re building out our technical footprint by adding some features and functions. The bigger and larger issue is customer acquisition. I’m utilizing them to help drive customers to my business through the use of targeted advertising.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’re helping with some technical aspects of my platform from eliciting customer feedback to scoping out different changes to the platform to implementing the development work.
What is the team composition?
There’s a total of about five people, but I typically interface with Macrae (CEO & Founder).
How did you come to work with The Digital Media House?
We were introduced by a common connection. I met Macrae and he seemed like a very honest and transparent person. He’s been very clear and upfront throughout the entire process. I’m a startup, and he was open to finding an equitable path forward for both parties.
How much have you invested with them?
It’ll be between $15,000–$20,000 over six months.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started in July 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Because of the nature of advertising, we’re just getting our bearings in these first 2–3 months. We’re continuously sitting down and talking things through in order to fine-tune. Every campaign starts off a little slow and then goes through some adjustments to get better.
I really like their style of work. I sit down and have discussions with them. They don’t just say yes; they actually challenge me and that’s what I need. They’ve helped me save money and lessen some mistakes I would’ve made otherwise.
How did The Digital Media House perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate through email, texting, and video conferencing platforms. They’re very easy to communicate with. They address all of my questions and concerns.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. They have a willingness and interest to work with their customers. Quite frankly, I feel that Macrae’s goal is to help entrepreneurs succeed. I need someone who doesn’t look at a relationship as solely transactional but rather a two-way street.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there hasn’t been anything thus far.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be open to feedback. They’re highly communicative and will challenge you by offering suggestions. A lot of entrepreneurs aren’t open to suggestions; they have their vision and that’s all they’re after. My advice is to come in with an open mind.
