A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the executive director of Justice and Soul Foundation. We work with survivors of sex trafficking and those at risk of being trafficked. We teach them cosmetology to give them the means to provide for themselves.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Lamb Productions?
We were having our annual fundraiser fashion show, which about 700 or so people attend. We wanted to show a film about what we do and raise funds, so we hired Digital Lamb Productions to create the video.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We didn’t give Gabriel (Founder) much time to create the video, since it all happened very quickly. He gave us ideas and incorporated what we wanted after learning about us and our foundation.
For the video, we did interviews with people. I gave him a bio of each person and semi-scripted the questions, but Gabriel came up with a lot of it. He interviewed each person individually and got what we needed from that. He also edited the video and handled the post-production.
What is the team composition?
Gabriel was our only point of contact.
How did you come to work with Digital Lamb Productions?
One of our board members is friends with Gabriel and it was a last-minute plan. I tried a few other agencies before finding Gabriel, but none were available. He was the right fit and wanted to come up and work in Seattle.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from February–March 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to have our event because COVID-19 came at the same time. Because of this, we haven’t released the video to the public yet. We’re saving the video to upload it at a later time because we’re really happy with it.
Our board has seen it and everyone is very happy. He did a really great job understanding who we are and giving the audience a good feeling about us. Considering how quickly it needed to be done, it came out extremely professional and great.
How did Digital Lamb Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
He was very easy to work with. When it came to emails or phone calls, he was very responsive. The whole project was very professional and creative.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The level of professionalism and quality of the final product, with our vision represented, was most impressive. He knew what we wanted to focus on and completely considered what we wanted as a foundation.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, there is nothing he could have done better. I was very happy with how it went.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You don’t need to, but you should be clear about what you want. He will work with you no matter which way you want it. He can give you ideas or make your vision come through — he’s great to work with.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the web and digital media manager at a nonprofit that serves children and teens with mental health and learning differences. We have two schools, two clinics, and a parent education division.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Lamb Productions?
Through the parent education division, we dabbled in live events. The pandemic exposed that we needed a bit of assistance with our planned, larger-scale events. We contracted them to help us handle our school graduation event in a remote capacity.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I approached him with the information that we needed a live stream component to the graduation event. Because it’s a school with sensitive information surrounding the children graduating, the stream needed to also follow significant constraints regarding privacy. He was able to apply his expertise to the project right away, accommodating our short timeline.
We ended up having a four-camera setup that we managed through Zoom for the event. He managed all the filming, ensuring that we could offer a live stream and acquire a recording to archive following the ceremony. We also gave him responsibility for equipment and sound. In the end, he took the raw footage and produced several keepsake videos that functioned as a yearbook for us to share with our students.
What is the team composition?
We worked directly with Gabe (Founder).
How did you come to work with Digital Lamb Productions?
He’d done video work for a few bands I know. I was familiar with him socially and had seen his advertisements on social media since COVID-19 began. When we realized that we needed remote services assistance, we connected the dots and hired him. He was accessible to us from a financial standpoint as well, which made the whole thing possible.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $3,500 in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together for three weeks in the spring of 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It was incredibly satisfying to see a short-term consultant jump into the work right away and achieve great results. Gabe was also able to teach us some of his best practices throughout the project.
Because he has a background in teaching, it was very easy for him to clearly explain his thought process and why we were making certain decisions. Not only did we get a ton of value from the engagement, but we were also able to take some of his teachings and apply them on a regular basis for webinars and small-scale events.
We also heard great feedback from the school community and parents. They appreciated being able to be involved through the live stream to support the students. People were happy with both the live stream process and the video assets that followed.
How did Digital Lamb Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
They were super generous with their time and answered all of our questions. For a small shop, it was a perfect fit. We were regular with our meeting cadence and kept in frequent contact. He was reliable in communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They understood our needs right away and were able to apply their skills to deliver to our requirements. I was worried about scope creep because our organization didn’t have too much time to devote to this effort. However, Gabe was an amazing partner throughout the process. Because he took the time to understand our organization and our needs, he was able to provide us with valuable advice.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Live events are stressful, but he did a great job leading the team and being a cheerleader. We had a great experience overall.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be open to some back-an-forth. He was a great partner to have when things didn’t go as planned. They were able to offer great advice on how to tackle issues.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the former contractor and wellness director of a private gym that had a wellness center attached to it. We offered massages, acupuncture, and chiropractic services along with the gym facility.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Lamb Productions?
I wanted to partner with an advertising agency.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided us with a live-action video that represented the services we provide at the gym and wellness facilities. It took a couple of weeks of on-site recording, and he held my hand throughout the process. That was my first time creating a video, so he guided me through the scripting and production process.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Gabriel (Founder) and another photography company.
How did you come to work with Digital Lamb Productions?
He was a patient when he told me about his services. I asked if he could provide a demo and handle a video production project, and he looked like he was right for the job.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $600 on the video, which is a discounted price. We offered him wellness services in exchange for the video as well.
What is the status of this engagement?
We collaborated in July 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The video was displayed on the front page of our website and did a great job of showing our audience what we do and where they can find us. It differentiated us from all the other gyms in the neighborhood, which was great for us.
How did Digital Lamb Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
He handled everything very professionally through email and text. I was nervous to be in front of the camera, but he was very patient and able to wrap up shooting in about two days.
What did you find most impressive about them?
He was professional and timely throughout the entire project. That stood out and set him apart from others. Communication was always open, and he was great about responding to us quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, it was the most thorough shoot we’ve ever experienced.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
He’ll go the extra mile to make the production better.

Video Production & Editing for Music Distribution Company
"Digital Lamb Productions takes a hands-on, personal approach that is rare in the industry."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Independent Distribution Collective. We’re a music distribution and marketing company and have been in business for about 16 years. We’ve pivoted to being more of an indie artist and brand marketing company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Lamb Productions?
As we developed as a company, we’re always looking to partner with people with different skill sets, whether that’s a publicist or a radio promoter, or someone with video and production skills.
We’ve crossed paths with Digital Lamb Productions on two different areas, one on the music side but also for a couple of corporate events and functions. For a corporate client, he did some heavy file lifting to export lower resolution versions. Whenever I see an opportunity for him, I get him involved.
What was the scope of their involvement?
For corporate events, they provide a sizzle reel and serve as someone who goes and documents the whole thing, including backstage recordings, some interviews, and editing footage together. More recently, we’ve worked with them on some product videos for some clients and they come in and record the videos and handle the editing.
What is the team composition?
We work directly with Gabriel (Founder). I’m not sure who becomes involved when he needs camera people or other editors.
How did you come to work with Digital Lamb Productions?
We’d both worked together about 13 years ago at a deli. As part of a marketing campaign, we had to do a marketing campaign, and Gabriel volunteered to do the videography, so we started working together.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve probably spent between $20,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since 2006.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Gabriel’s skill has grown and developed, so we’ve grown together over the engagement. Most of the events I’ve brought Gabriel’s services to have benefitted greatly. We just produced a music festival together and it turned out to meet my expectations, if not go beyond my expectations.
How did Digital Lamb Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication is strong. We follow the path of most transparency and try to be as open as we can with each other. We respect each other’s space and energy. We’re continuing to grow over time with every chance we get.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Digital Lamb Productions takes a hands-on, personal approach that is rare in the industry. Gabriel is in tune with how he likes to work and who he wants to collaborate with. His choice of subcontractors is reliable, as well. If he can’t take on the project, I know he has someone who can. His work ethic and level of perspective is great. We both have a willingness to learn from each other’s skill sets, which is a huge asset.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s all a work in progress. I don’t have any complaints about his skills. It’s a tough world to stay on top of, so he may need to focus on getting new gear or bring another employee into the mix.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Hire him. He’s great at what he does, has a fair price, brings a good energy, and is talented, so all of those things lend themselves to wanting to work with him.
Though the fundraiser was halted due to COVID-19, the video completely satisfied the client and is being saved for a big reveal for the foundation. The Digital Lamb Productions’ team was able to represent the client’s vision and was driven to produce quality work for their mission.
