We are an insurance agency and we sell travel insurance in a mobile application. We have the simplest sales process on the market. We have been active since 2016. I am the CEO of BeforeYouGo.
For what projects/services did your company hire Digital Forms?
Digital Forms has prepared and implemented a mobile application for us created in order to sell insurance along with a beckend. The application is supposed to be very simple, intuitive and meet very high security standards.
What were your goals for this project?
My goal was to build a comprehensive solution based on a mobile application for the sale of travel insurance.
How did you select this vendor?
We did a market research. We met with several suppliers creating mobile applications and based on conversations with them and a comparison of offers we chose Digital Forms.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
The project involved development and implementation of a mobile application for insurance sales. The task of Digital Forms was to integrate with the insurance company and payment portal. At the end of the project, a documentation has been created, that had described the entire project.
What was the team composition?
The project team consisted of people responsible development of the app and the beckend. The communication between us was happening fully online. We used only digital tools. Through the project's duration the team's size hasn't changed.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Launching the mobile application prepared by Digital Forms allowed me to attract new mobile customers. The application they created is very simple and unique on the market. Thanks to it, we were able to convince the fund to invest in our company.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Digital Forms provided us with all communication tools in the project. They clearly defined the rules and deadlines for the implementation of individual stages of the project. After each stage of the process, the application was summarized and tested. For commnunication we have used Slack, Trello and mails.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
What I value most about Digital Forms is the professionalism and speed of response to our suggestions and comments. The company proposed solutions that were more modern and better suited to our expectations.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was a senior project manager at AKQA, a digital agency.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Forms?
At the time, our company was developing an app. We needed a tech partner that would be fast, reliable, and comfortable with our style. Due to price concerns, we needed to go offshore.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided iOS developers to build a native iOS app. We worked with an Agile framework that involved two to four-week sprints, depending on how the project was going.
What is the team composition?
I was working directly with Cezary (CEO, Digital Forms). There were three developers attached to the project.
How did you come to work with Digital Forms?
We created a streamlined RFP and sent it to different companies. They were one of them. Digital Forms replied with a presentation showcasing how they’d approach the project, what methods they’d use, the timeline, and budget. They were the only ones who met all of our requirements while also providing a thorough explanation of how they’d approach the project.
How much have you invested with them?
It was close to £100,000 ($131,590 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project began and ended in 2017. The development took three and a half months. After the launch, we wrapped it up.

The project went really well. The client loved it. We were very happy with it.
How did Digital Forms perform from a project management standpoint?
Our product owner spoke with their Cezary, their main point of contact. They communicated with us daily or semi-daily based on the phase of development. We were able to see demos and charts. It was a typical scrum architecture. The client had a hard deadline, and they worked with that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It was really good, had the fewest problems of any product that I was given while working at the agency.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not really. It was a short project, so I don’t have any qualms whatsoever. I would recommend them to anyone.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Just make sure that everything is clear from the beginning. Make sure you understand your business challenge—with time zone differences, it’s important to make sure everyone understands the goal. As long as you understand what you want to achieve, they will be a great partner.

I’m the CEO and founder of a company that produces digital healthcare software applications for smartphones.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Forms?
We hired Digital Forms to fulfill our programming needs. We previously had internal development resources, but we wanted to outsource these needs to be more flexible. We needed their support in designing, architecting, and developing our mobile app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Digital Forms created our iOS mobile app from scratch using Swift. They handled all phases of designing and development, using designs from our in-house team. We worked for a few months to get the first version of our application live and have been making iterations on it with them ever since. We’re preparing another round of development with them for our next sprint.

Since we’re a startup with a limited amount of capital, we decided to go with one full-time programmer from their team. They provide another programmer for code reviews and testing purposes, so we’ve been in touch with multiple teammates throughout the engagement.

We basically use every form of communication. Email is great for setting up calls, but we also use Skype for quick conversations. We use Slack during design sprints, too.

I am a program manager, business consultant, and an agile coach for an international pharmaceutical company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Forms?
We needed help with developing an iOS application as well as with consulting work.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The application was about innovation and creativity, and it covers the majority of the organization. In one way or another, we can call it an innovation booster or support.
Digital Forms built the iOS app and provided consulting as well. They also hosted and offered support for the application afterward.
What is the team composition?
We worked with four people from their team. A few others worked on the project as well, but I was not in contact with them.
How did you come to work with Digital Forms?
I found Digital Forms through the web as well as through networking. My colleagues had worked with them in the UK before. They were one of five companies that we wanted to test, and they were the best when it came to time, experience, and money. That’s why we chose them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from January–May 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Digital Forms finished more quickly than we predicted. There are ongoing initiatives that we will probably give to them as a partner and continue working with them in the future. The end product is a success as well. It is being used, and work is being downloaded.
How did Digital Forms perform from a project management standpoint?
We collaborated on the goal we had together. We did the project in agile and had scrum meetings. We had consultancy sessions as well as prototype testing. They performed so well that at one point I thought about stealing their project manager to come over to our company.
When it comes to project management, Digital Forms did everything they needed to do and even more. Even if we had a request that fell outside the scope, they did the extra step to help us. It came from their experience and their vision of the cooperation.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their professionalism and innovation distinguish them. They were willing to co-create on so many levels that it is hard to describe in one sentence. Their out-of-the-box thinking and digital transformation were things we needed for the business that we have.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In several situations during the consultancy part of the work, I should have listened to a lot of things they said upfront. I tried to do it my way but, in the end, we finished it their way because it was much better and smarter than what I wanted.
There is a relationship between the subcontractor and customer, but it would be good for them to offer their advice even more strongly—they have the knowledge and experience to say what they need to so that they can improve the business and cooperation.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You don’t have to worry about getting the most from Digital Forms: their package of services gives you more than you need, which is why we would choose them again.
Digital Forms also have a level of innovation and cooperation where you feel like a part of the team. They do so many additional steps—in our case, they produced different versions of the application, which were full working projects that we could test and decide if they would satisfy us or not. They are a very good partner when it comes to collaboration.
They don’t work on the level of a normal software house where you tell them what you want and they deliver, full-stop. They did those additional steps of advising; sometimes, they did the consultancy, and sometimes, they even did the testing internally to ensure that what they deliver is more than enough.
The final deliverables successfully gained support from investors, who praised its concept and clean design. The solution brought new customers to the company. Making effective use of project management tools, they prioritized professionalism and timely communication to move the project forward.
