Storewise Brand Identity and Web Development
We worked alongside of Storewise's executive team to help reposition them in their competitive landscape. Their goal is to help independent retailers compete against the big box stores by helping them maximize their margins with competitive data. We rebranded them by giving them a new logo and website presence all in webflow to allow their team to expand the website with consistency.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Chief Strategy Officer for a software company that builds a grocery operations platform for independent grocers.
For what projects/services did your company hire Digital Bullpen, and what were your goals?
We engaged with Digital Bullpen as we started the process of rebranding the company from RSSG (Retail Software Solutions Group) to Storewise. We needed a new identity, logo, website, and design methodology that fit our new brand.
How did you select this vendor?
Digital Bullpen was a word-of-mouth referral from a friend of our CEO, Chris Greco.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
The Digital Bullpen team held weekly (sometimes more often) meetings with key stakeholders at Storewise to define and iterate on the company's branding. This included detailed Q&A sessions with internal employees and customers to really understand what we stand for and how we operate. They created many iterations of designs and met with key stakeholders for final decisions. They also handled executing final versions of primary marketing materials including logos, company website, digital/print templates, and business cards.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Our primary interactions were with Brian Cox, CEO of Digital Bullpen, and one of his lead designers, Heidi. I believe Brian had some designers working on our materials in the background.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We consider Digital Bullpen's work a HUGE success. They were able to meet expectations both in terms of budget and time. Everything they delivered was extremely cohesive and effectively marketed our new brand to the public. Since then, we have received many positive compliments from partners, sales prospects, and job candidates. We've had many employees tell us that the design of our website and our overall messaging is what compelled them to apply for our open job positions.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Brian is an extremely good communicator and his entire team made use of Basecamp to keep Storewise stakeholders up-to-date with deliverables. Brian was very organized and had agendas for every meeting we attended. He did a great job of setting expectations and reaching out when modifications were necessary. He also did a great job of making himself available when ad-hoc conversations were necessary throughout the process.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Digital Bullpen's approach to design is what I find the most impressive. They were very methodical and cared much more to truly gain an understanding of our business before they started generating many assets for us to review. They were extremely open to feedback and did a tremendous job of handling many challenging personalities. I feel that Digital Bullpen is in the business of producing AMAZING outcomes. Period. They're not in business to simply collect a paycheck and move on to the next delierable.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really. We worked with them on this project in 2021 and many of our interactions were digital/remote. We would have preferred to have conducted them in person (given our culture) but that didn't get in the way of producing an amazing result.
The collaboration between the client and Digital Bullpen was a success. The team was able to meet the client's expectations and delivered everything within budget and on time. The new brand has been marketed effectively and it also received positive feedback from internal stakeholders.
