Zeppelin
The Challenge

Wrap
About the Client
Wrap is a Digital Marketing platform allowing brands to distribute content in a different and cool way that’s 100% mobile-focused, called “wraps”. Brands using Wrap’s platform can create, design, manage and distribute their content directly from an online too generating impactful communications.
The Challenge
After a few years of technical “paralysis” and losing almost its entire Engineer team, Wrap needed to re-launch their platform, renew it and add new features clients had been demanding for.
The Solution
Digital Beings set up an engineering team to extend Wrap’s staff and quickly took control of the existing architecture and new features. Although the stack was a bit messy, the team was able to deliver stuff within the first month while, at the same time, kept providing support to existing clients.
Key Achievement
- The team collaborated with Wrap’s Head of Engineering to gain a full understanding of the existing tech architecture composed of several parts.
- Following an Agile methodology, the team was able to take ownership of the “stand-by” backlog and deliver features clients had been demanding for a long time.
- Creation of customized campaigns for large brands like Halls and British Telecom under a challenging time to market.
- Technical leadership and consultancy for improving the platform overall from the creation of the digital pieces all the way to the distribution mechanisms.

Seguro Select
About the Client
Seguro Select is a leading insurance broker with the main purpose of being close to the clients and help them make the right decision to protect their patrimony. Since the year 2000, Seguro Select provides personal insurance services and gives clients the ability to compare costs, benefits and coverage among the main insurance companies in the market.
The Challenge
As part of its digital transformation process, Seguro Select wanted to create a tool that allows clients to self-manage their products and coverage as well as give them a direct access to all the services, improving their experience when interacting with the company.
The Solution
We created a mobile app for iOS and Android with clean and simple to use interface, giving Seguro Select’s clients and prospects full access to manage their existing policies, get quotes, compare prices, renew their insurance and report claims.
Key Achievement
- The app became the main interaction channel between the company and its clients.
- Giving clients the ability to self-manage their products helped Seguro Select reduce operational costs in critical areas like claims and sales.
- We created a scalable tech stack that will allow the connection of external services to continue enlarging Seguro Select’s service offering to its insured.

Alius Consulting
About the Client
Alius engaged with an multi-million dollar international fund to create a tailor made solution for managing the company’s operation involving +100 people in 5 countries, and was in need of a senior engineer team to extend their own team to delivery the service.
The Challenge
The platform had a large backlog of required fixes as well as enhancements to be made in order to evolve the tool and keep it useful for the end users. Having gone thru different teams for some years, the code base was a bit complex and heterogeneous, lacking a solid and consistent architecture on top of which to grow.
The Solution
Digital Beings assigned a senior team of a Tech Lead and a Software Engineer to gain ownership of the code base, understand the pillars of the solution and quickly set the ground for evolving the tool while supporting the daily operational needs. The team worked collaboratively both with Alius and the fund’s own technical team and established a development process to ensure a proper management of the user’s requirements while keeping the system clean and scalable.
Key Achievement
- Within a few months, the team was able to complete the development and deploy some big features that had been “Work In Progress” for over a year.
- Even when the team was new to the client and the platform’s architecture, the level of service was kept and even improved making the transfer of ownership transparent to the end user.
- As a result of an active proposal from Digital Beings’ team, a full UI revamp was held to improve the user experience when working with the tool which was really well adopted by the end user.

Brush Up
About the Client
BrushUp Club invented a cool toothbrush and wanted to commercialize it through a subscription model helping people keep up with their dental health by automatically renewing their toothbrush every three months.
The Challenge
After setting up an initial e-commerce platform on top of a WordPress + WooCommerce implementation with another vendor, BrushUp Club was in need for a new team to jump in, take control of the existing architecture, complete the site and launch it in a short timeframe.
The Solution
Our team stepped in, gained control of the pre-existing technical solution and coordinated the completion of all the items in the backlog, also taking care of the full site’s launch and deployment. Once the site was LIVE, BrushUp Club and Digital Beings worked collaboratively to operate the site ensuring high availability and proper performance. Using tracking tools like Google Analytics, with the Conversion Funnel set up, Optimizely for A/B Testing and Hotjar, among others, Digital Beings helped BrushUp Club improve the site’s KPIs which, in turn, resulted in more sales.
Key Achievement
- We quickly gained control of the pre-existing tech stack learning and mastering the code to attack the outstanding items in the backlog.
- Updates to the WooCommerce core to fine-tune the subscription logic and make it in line with the unique BrushUp Club’s business rules.
- Connected multiple tracking tools to better understand the audience behavior while visiting the site, adjusting the UI as well as the checkout process to increase conversion rates.

EfectON
About the Client
EfectON is a new brand in the financial services space. EfectON’s business is mainly focused on the digital space. To keep up with the new trends in the market, and given the launch of new players whose main focus was the digital space, EfectON had to launch their own digital solution to fulfill the new needs of their prospective clients.
The Challenge
The main challenge was to find a perfect balance between an easy process for regular users with several checks that need to be completed in the background to screen each person and determine their ability to pay for their credit. The more complex the process, the more abandonment rate the site would have, resulting in lost sales.
The Solution
We created a clean user experience that guides the person throughout the process requiring a minimum set of data to check their financial profile. The system allows two scenarios:
(1) Get money with a 100% online loan, no need of personal interaction and including digital signature online.
(2) Access to higher amounts requiring an in-person signature.
Key Achievement
- Seamless collaboration between EfectON’s and Digital Beings’s team to define and develop all the APIs connecting the site and the backend logic for financial validations within EfectON’s systems.
- Development of a customized digital signature solution to lock down the loan contract allowing a totally autonomous sale with no human interaction.
- Enabled a media component to facilitate the upload of the required documentation using the cellphone’s camera or picking the document from the gallery.
- Image recognition algorithm to extract the bank account number directly from an image, making it easy for the user to deal with the 22-digit number that is very prone to errors.

uPay
About the Client
uPay is a cutting-edge payment processor that enables crypto payments on any e-commerce site. With its uPay button, merchants all over the world can easily accept crypto payments on their sites and offer their customers more than 50 cryptocurrencies on top of their existing payment alternatives.
The Challenge
The client wanted to improve their product offering for the uPay button to reach a broader audience, expand its business operations and increase revenue. A key aspect for achieving this was to make it as simple as possible the initial setup of the uPay button for every merchant, even if they do not have tech expertise in-house.
The Solution
Digital Beings developed a plugin ecosystem for the most used e-commerce platforms: WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, Shopify, OSCommerce and OpenCart so merchants can add the uPay button on their sites following a simple configuration process on their preferred backbone platform.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO at a company that provides risk management services to agricultural companies.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Beings?
We were using their services to load market information and data from a US government source.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had two projects, and one is currently underway. They started by defining the requirements. After signing off on those, they proceeded with the development process. They were also required to put together a development environment or stack that lined up with our system.
What is the team composition?
For the first project, there were four people involved. For this one, I believe maybe four or five people are involved.
How did you come to work with Digital Beings?
They came through another third-party recommendation. We went through a simple process where we got to know each other and describe our business. Their attention to detail and willingness to understand our problem thoroughly were convincing. The way they presented their skills sold us.
We also considered their cost and time zone when looking at nearshoring our services.
How much have you invested with them?
Each of the projects has been less than $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with Digital Beings started at the beginning of 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our pilot project is completed, and we’re working on the second project. I’ll continue to put projects together with them. The team delivers high-quality work at a quick turnaround. Their code is well-written and easy to understand.
How did Digital Beings perform from a project management standpoint?
Digital Beings put forth an agile process that included project management. They’re incredibly responsive. Digital Beings completely understood what we were trying to tackle. They asked deep and astute questions, which I found uncommon. To get to those core questions quickly, it’s very valuable.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They deliver quality code and software.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we have nothing but positives at this point.

Blockchain Dev for Decentralized Systems Company
“They were always motivated and interested in what we were doing.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the COO of a decentralized systems company. We provide tools for developers who are building blockchain applications.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital beings?
At the time, we had a platform for blockchain token sales for the general public, but we needed someone to take care of the product as we were diversifying out of it. We wanted a team to be able to work without much supervision from our side.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Digital beings helped with blockchain development. They used React and Redux on the frontend as well as Node.js and MongoDB. The web application was simple, and they handled it well.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with one project manager and two developers.
How did you come to work with Digital beings?
One of our investors had worked with the COO of Digital beings on a prior engagement. We wanted someone we could trust. Plus, we didn’t want to have to talk to a lot of different firms and do a tender. Our initial meeting went well, so we ended up hiring them without shopping around too much.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $10,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in early 2018, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It took them a little time to get up to speed with how the product was built, as it wasn’t a great codebase. The other part we had was the blockchain component. Basically, the web application would connect through the blockchain, and it was pulling some data out of it. It wasn’t the main focus of engagement, but they didn’t have the time to get fully up to speed. We ended up canceling the whole process and putting it on hold.
How did Digital beings perform from a project management standpoint?
They worked in an agile style, which worked really well. We had biweekly planning meetings and daily standups. They missed some deadlines, but this was partly due to the state of the codebase. It was a pretty positive experience overall.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were always motivated and interested in what we were doing. Even when we decided to put everything on hold, they tried to help us from the business side of things and get it back to life. They were quite resourceful in trying to find solutions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We didn’t have an idea of how long it would take them to get up to speed. We hoped it could have been quicker.
Digital Beings delivers high-quality code at a quick turnaround. They make their work easy to understand. Their responsive approach made the agile workflow smooth. Customers can expect a team that provides valuable insights.
