BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a B2B e-commerce website that sells cleaning equipment. We sell the products from the main producers, and we also offer services like equipment rental and servicing.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Digitad?

We had a very low performing website, with no conversions and the equivalent of €2000 (approximately $2,230 USD) per year in sales, which was really low compared to our turnover. We asked Digitad to build a new website from scratch and provide post-launch support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we had a phone call with one of their two founders, giving them a quick overview of our business, our challenges, and our current relationship with our website contractor. They worked for one month on diagnosis and then produced a proposal outlining their strategic plan to launch a new site. They’ve since begun work on the SEO and SEM campaigns.

What is the team composition?

We were in contact with at two or three people from their team, one of whom was focused on the keyword analysis and website diagnosis. We also had a relationship with the product designer, who was more technical and served as the key contact during the website build.

How did you come to work with Digitad?

I heard about them on LinkedIn and Facebook, and I have a distant connection with one of their team members. I’d been looking for some content on how to have a top-performing webpage and SEO campaign and how to choose the best keywords in French. I found their blog articles very useful.

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested €12,000 (approximately $14,000 USD) to create the new website and €800 (approximately $895 USD) per month on the SEO and SEM work.

What is the status of this engagement?

They completed the website between March–July 2018. They started work for the SEO and SEM campaigns in October 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In 2017, we made only €1,000 (approximately $1,120 USD) per year in sales, while in 2018, we made eight times that; an amount we’ve already matched in 2019. We’ve had slick growth over the past 10 months, and we’re very happy. Each month we try to invest a bit more in SEO or SEM, and we’ve just signed another agreement with them for another €500 (approximately $560 USD) per month.

How did Digitad perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s rather good. We speak with them often through regular contacts—one every week at least, depending on the timeline of our projects. They’re really available, they’ve helped us to make good decisions.

Each month, we receive an email with data analysis and one that’s more general. They also offer a 50-minute call that can be extended if there are more topics to discuss. It’s excellent; we switched from terrible customer experience to a very good one.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The availability of their CEO is impressive. We had an hour-long meeting with them, and they took the time to understand our business and challenges, coming away with some excellent proposals.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't see a single area where they’re performing less than they could. They’re very cheap compared to other proposals from France, we’ve had good metrics, and communication is very good, so it’s a perfect deal.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

You can rely on the availability of the people working at Digitad and trust their abilities. At first, when we’d just changed our website, we had a drop in the SEO traffic because of the new pages and new content. It was a bit tough, but we’ve invested in SEM thanks to them. Six months later, natural traffic is way above what we previously had. You shouldn’t expect results to happen overnight.
