We reviewed a number of vendors and as cost was not the primary factor it came down to portfolio and the technical delivery, specifically around SEO which Digita excelled within.

The designs were already scoped in Figma with a semi functional prototype, however I know from experience that the biggest obstacle is bringing the design to life within a technically excellent site.

We worked with 5 members of the Digita team and whilst there was a single point of contact, daily stand ups were held with whomever was needed to support that part of the project - I have to say that the entire team were excellent and I do not give that level of praise away lightly.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The site has literally only just launched but I have already gone through an SEO analysis and the site is structured exactly as requested and delivered to the extremely high specifications which were part of the contract. Feedback wise I don't think I have found a more dedicated external team before, the timeline was tight by anyones measure and most if not all of our team and theirs worked for 3 weeks straight - including weekends, that is exceptional - as are the results.

Personally I prefer Jira but for various reasons we were using Trello, the entire project was mapped out by myself and Steve (the project lead at Digita) and from there we held daily stand ups to ensure we meet the extremely tight deadline of 3 weeks (including all weekends)
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their calm approach to what could have easily been an otherwise chaotic project and their dedication to the project went above and beyond at every step (especially over long days and the weekends). Their communication was particularly impressive, this is usually what lets external resource down, but Steve was always on hand and very helpful at all times (day and night).

I have thought about this, no. They are a superb team.

We had an intro meeting via Zoom to discuss goals & objectives, and throw out ideas of how we wanted the site to look from both a branding, colour scheme and structure / functionality point of view. We were then sent initial brand logo and colour pallet ideas, once agreed wire frames were built for each page before moving into adding content and graphic design overlay. Finally, we built a custom coded valuation tool that allows existing Amazon business owners to get a valuation for their business. This was executed in a fantastic manner and works perfectly.

Steve was our main contact and project manager throughout, I am unsure how many people are in his team, but they always delivered in a timely manner.

Time had come to give a serious makeover to our website, with new corporate identity and including new features such as location map of our project, videos, blog section, newsletter signup forms and improving the contact us forms. As we are a small setup in terms of number of employees, we didn’t have in-house website developers so we did some research and found DigitaComms to develop and design the new website layout for us, using Envato and WordPress. The new website was made to optimize SEO performance, with the goal to increase organic traffic, and inbound links through shared blog content.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched online, and had worked with a few companies in the past, with whom we were happy too. Steve at DigitaComms came in with some very impressive ideas and design proposals, so we chose to go ahead with him.

We had an initial meeting to introduce and brief Steve on our business model and activities, which needed to be shown in the brand identity and webdesign. Following a brainstorm session on possible website architectures and styles, Steve and his team provided different mockup versions for us to choose between, and later adjust. We eventually opted for a landingpage with all subpages in one long “scroll website” which we felt was the most responsive and engaging for our audience of busy sustainability and climate change professionals. Our second main focus was to create a great setup for our blog, so our marketing department could easily write and tag the necessary blogs, which was done really well.

Steve was the actual project manager and our main point of contact throughout the entire process. This gives an extra level of trust and improves communication.

Already short time after launching the website, we saw that our copy content started to get positioned well within Google, which essentially saw our traffic and DA increase, compared to previous performance. Our blog also made the foundation for our newsletter subscription, which we directed towards existing and new potential clients. DigitaComms also assisted on designing the Mailchimp template and installing same, on a separate project.

We were in almost daily contact with Steve, whether that was him giving us updates, or us sending corrections/additions and new ideas. We held several Zoom calls during the entire process, and also used Google Drive to share copy content.

Apart from being a very strong and experienced web designer, they are very professional and communicate very well. He grasps very quickly what the client is looking for in terms of functionality and design, even with very little materials or sketches available.

It was great! We mostly used Google docs to communicate the requirements of the entire project with very little email or Zoom communication.
