We were looking for an agency to build a Shopify store for our B2B business. We already used Shopify for our retail offering, but our current B2B site was in desperate need of an overhaul, and often put customers off buying from us. The site was to be built using a pre-selected, premium theme which will require some customisation to have a feature where customers can easily flick through ranges (collections, in Shopify lingo).

The site needed B2B functionality using a third party app called Sparklayer which would allow us to hide pricing when not logged in, sell in multiple quantities and not collect payment at the checkout, instead putting in 'on account'. The site had to be slick, incredibly user friendly and simple to use.

Digifly demonstrated excellent project management throughout the process, clearly taking us through the three phases - design, UX and testing. We had regular Zoom meetings, as well as being kept updated via email and using a shared Google Sheet for notes and quick questions. We requested a tight turnaround, and Digifly achieved this for us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Digifly stood out from the get go. Their pitch was entirely bespoke to us, showing how much work and effort they had already put in to understand our business and needs. Their communication has been second to none, and their ability to problem solve, and so quickly, has been remarkably impressive. There didn't seem to be anything we asked for, that they couldn't solve.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Digifly could have done differently?

Throughout the whole process, there was just one minor issue where it became apparent that the images we had imported were in fact too big for Shopify, so we had to do a mass resizing effort - it would have been good to have a heads up about sizing recommendations earlier on. But I'm really clutching at straws with that one - they were excellent throughout.

I am the E-Commerce Manager for Bewley's Tea & Coffee Limited. We are a well established coffee and tea manufacturer and supplier here in Ireland and in the UK.

For what projects/services did your company hire Digifly, and what were your goals?

All our business to business sales orders were previously submitted over the phone by our customers to our telesales team and then entered manually into our systems. This was taking up a lot of time and resources. Our goal was to develop two online portals, one for the UK and one for Ireland, whereby our customers in both of these countries could login and place orders by themselves. The orders would then flow down to our systems via integrations.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Through previous contacts and research we choose Digifly due to their extensive Shopify experience, their projected project timeline and their cost proposal.

We began by outlining all the necessary functions and requirements our Shopify portals would require for it to be a success with our customers. The most complex issue was around the different price lists each of our customers are set on. Digifly identified Sparklayer as our best solution for this issue and with the various developments Sparklayer has made to their application it has worked very well. The design of the website was to be simple and the products were to be uploaded with good quality imagery and simple descriptions. This was done in bulk by Digifly after we supplied them with all the necessary info from our sales team. Furthermore, certain products were to be shown to only specific customers. These products were locked via the Locksmith app with the relevant tagging. Also certain products were to be promoted only to specific customers, this again was done via tagging but it required some custom code development by Digifly.

We had a project manager as our point of contact for all work. If he was not available, the managing director was always available for contact for emergencies. There was a team of backend developers although I don't know how many there were in that team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was a success. We have transferred over 1400 customers to the new portals within the first year since it launched. No customers have reported any major issues with either portal and we will be transferring more customers this year.

We had regular updates from Digifly as each phase of the project was completed, from the completion of the design to the implementation of the features we requested. Any time we raised a new feature that was not included in our original brief, it was dealt with prominently by Digifly. They always did their best to devise a viable solution for us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their willingness to come up with a solution to our many demands even after the portal was in operation. Some of our customers and sales team could be very demanding as to what would make ordering easiest for them and any time I contacted Digifly to enquire about a way to resolve the issue or install a feature to help, they acted very quickly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are no areas where I see that they could improve.

I’m the marketing and e-commerce manager at Horans Healthstore, which has 15 stores across Ireland.

What challenge were you trying to address with Digifly?

We were updating our online store to increase sales and brand awareness.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We met with Digifly at the beginning of the partnership to discuss creating a new Shopify site; our old site was on a different platform. Before beginning the design, Digifly researched our competitors to ensure we got the best site possible. We also provided them with our content, logo, and product listings. 

Their team then developed several design ideas using our existing logo and provided samples of their prior work. Digifly highlighted exactly what we could do and where we could take the site. Digifly also helped reformat our product catalog and helped us upload it.

Digifly’s team then built the site and implemented the banners they designed for it. Once the site was complete, Digifly integrated Klaviyo into the site and used the email copy I provided to automate emails. 

Our project is 99% complete — Digifly is wrapping up some queries before they close it off. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve primarily worked with Bernie (Creative Director), but Patrick (CEO & Founder) has also connected with us several times. 

How did you come to work with Digifly?

We found them online.  

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested over €30,000 (approximately $32,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began in July 2022. We’re currently working on putting together a maintenance package.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I don’t have specific conversion rate metrics since we’ve only recently launched the new site. However, I expect an increase in conversions within the next 2–3 weeks. We’re also not expecting much change until we finalize Google Ads with our digital marketing partner. 

However, I can say the new site's speed is much faster than our previous one. 

How did Digifly perform from a project management standpoint?

Digifly works very efficiently; their team has good project management and sticks to schedules. To communicate, we use Zoom and email. We also regularly use Google Docs. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate how efficient and accessible Digifly has been — they’re always available through phone or email. Also, their development speed is very good. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn’t really anything for them to improve upon. However, we’ve had some issues with our Google Ads redirecting to our old site instead of our new one, but that issue is only the impact of creating a new site.

If you want to build a new website, definitely contact Digifly because they’re great to work with. You won’t be disappointed.

I’m the operations manager for Claddagh Records Company. We are a record label, retail website, and we sell niche products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Digifly?

We have a small staff and wanted to grow. We hired Digifly for consulting services and additional support. We were also in the process of rebranding, and we needed assistance with that and website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Digifly's team helps us with uploads, sales, recommendations, and tracking analytics. They also take care of bookwork and other time-consuming tasks for us. They’ve been assisting us with the rebranding and helping us define our brand, image, and what we were looking for in our new website, which they set up for us. 

Digifly has helped train our team in Shopify and Klaviyo for email marketing, an inventory planner, ordering stock, and sales reports. We’ve also received training on other apps for batch-changing products, and they assist with charts and chart registration. They quickly solve any issues we have when registering units to the chart.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our customer rate has grown significantly, and our conversion rate is growing monthly. We’ve also seen an increase in our email marketing subscribers and an improvement in our conversion rate there as well. 

How did Digifly perform from a project management standpoint?

We never have any issues with them delivering on time, and they always stay within budget. They’re incredibly responsive to feedback, and if we ask them to do something, they’ll go and get it done. They also make themselves very available to us. We communicate via email and phone. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re fantastic to work with, and there’s nothing that they ever push back on. They’ll always try to help us with any questions, no matter how big or small. They have a super friendly and accommodating approach to how they work, and overall we think they’ve just been brilliant.  

We appreciate that they’re personally invested and motivated to work on our projects. We know they want our company to succeed, and they’re always motivated to come to meetings and offer any advice they have. They go above and beyond for us, and there’s nothing they won’t help us with.

You should absolutely work with them. Digifly is brilliant, and they’re cost-effective.

We were delighted with our results. Increased revenue, and huge uplift in repeat customers - therefore goal of customer retention was met.

Communication was great. Regular check ins during the project phases. We regularly communicate for consultation, and our interactions are always positive.

We probably needed to have more solid ongoing objectives. We tended to stick to the task in hand and then move to the next task.

An overall timeline and critical path with stretching goals may have been useful. But this was not prohibitive to the success of any stage of the project.

We are an online Record Store based in Ireland, in partnership with Universal Music Ireland. We sell exclusive vinyl, merch, accessories, and products. I am Senior E-Commerce and CRM Manager.

We needed an online E-Commerce solution to meet the growing needs of consumers in Ireland. We needed Digifly in order to plan, design, build, and maintain a high traffic E-Commerce site, while also guiding us and supporting our goals to create, retain, and increase direct revenue.

Digifly have been a partner with many other sites, and suppliers we have worked with. They are experts in their field and presented us with a solution that met our needs. They had an inside out understanding of the landscape and the needs of the Irish consumer market.

For some time now, the need for a strategic e-commerce store as part of the Universal Music family was recognised. We worked with Dublin Vinyl and Digifly on creating The Record Hub to act as our retailer in Ireland. Launching in late 2019/early 2020 Digifly were instrumental in the planning, build, strategy, launch, and maintenance of this site. They continue to be invaluable to our e-commerce position and site. We needed the site delivered on time to meet the growing e-commerce demand brought about by COVID, we also needed to have the very best in e-commerce solutions. We had tried other internal technologies before, but Digifly streamlined everything with software like Shopify, Klaviyo, etc.
