Useful digital products to improve people's lives
We collaborate with product teams at both large enterprises and early-stage startups using a blend of lean startup, lean UX, agile and Design Thinking tools and techniques unique to your problem or opportunity.
Whether we’re helping at the product discovery/strategy stage for a new product or helping to optimise or redesign an existing product, we guide you towards the right problem to solve by focussing on the user (your customer) first and foremost and discovering together how you can best add value to their lives.
Our work emphasises outcomes and we help you establish metrics that matter for your product’s success. Often, our final deliverable is a functional prototype for your product validated with real user insights and a prioritised product backlog/roadmap you can start to build with. If you need help with development, we can form a team of developers to help build and launch as well. Throughout our work with you we’re independent and technology agnostic partners, either working within your technology constraints or letting technology choice be guided by customer needs.
We've completed successful engagements with clients across the UK, USA and Europe.

We led the product discovery, strategy and service design for the launch of My Canon Printer - Canon's home for their new range of connected home and small office printers. Customers land on the site when they setup their new smart printer (on desktop or mobile) and then are able to subscribe to a range of new Canon print services - including Easy Ink Delivery Reminders to receive smart reminders from their printer before it runs out of ink and get replacements sent straight to their door. Embedded directly with Canon's product owner and team we worked with senior marketing, product and e-commerce stakeholders in Europe and Japan to carry out a range of discovery work including a competitive analysis of ink replenishment services already on the market in Europe and the US. We synthesised Canon user research on home printing across various personas, ran a series of customer journey mapping sessions, and then prioritised and managed a product launch roadmap while also leading the product/service delivery with Canon's development team (involving everything from working with hardware APIs to mapping the fulfilment and delivery experience for a Europe-wide service launch). Post-launch, we then helped Canon analyse data on signups and ink sales to continuously improve the user experience and business results.
Just Eat are Europe's leading food ordering website and app (now a publicly traded company with 3,000 employees). Following their initial Series A investment, we were asked to redesign the UX of their first generation eCommerce website based on a set of user and business goals, streamlining the ordering flow and ensuring the experience was simple and fun for users (who at the time trended toward a younger demographic).
Abbott, the global healthcare giant, asked us to completely redesign an existing legacy mentoring app designed for US employees into a modern, global web-based app that would connect and match mentors and proteges across the company of 70,000 people in 150 countries worldwide. We started by running a workshop with key executives and stakeholders where together we identified the problems and opportunities, drafted proto-personas of representative users and agreed the hypotheses we were going to test with our 'minimum viable product'. We then completed interviews with users around the world to gain valuable insights and feedback into how mentorship works at Abbott. Taking those insights, we developed a minimum viable product starting with sketches, iterating through higher-fidelity wireframes we could put in front of users, and finally building a functional responsive HTML prototype (image above) for further testing and feedback with real users.
