Heart University
The platform contains nearly 1500 interactive training and testing modules.
We built two WordPress front ends--one for pediatrics and one for adults--and then did significant customization to the eFront learning platform which we implemented on a dedicated server in AWS.
The result is a platform that helps train cardiologists and nurses, serving nearly 5000 people globally.

Exchange Analytics
Exchange Analytics sells ethics training to the largest financial institutions in the world.
We have implemented two learning platforms for them that allow them to sell training to over 900 firms, including Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Goldman Sachs.
We also provide managed hosting services in AWS for both platforms.
One of the platforms is dedicated to Morgan Stanley as a result of a rigorous security audit. We were able to replicate the existing platform and dedicate it to Morgan Stanley in order to allow them to manage the encryption key--which they could not do in a shared environment.

Mobile Diagnostic Dispatch System
Pacific Mobile Diagnostics provides mobile X-Ray and mobile lab services throughout the SW United States.
We helped them evaluate commercial dispatch applications with recommendations on which platform to migrate to. Analysis included technical analysis, industry analysis, evaluation of the vendor organizations, and financial analysis.
We had the opportunity to recommend that we build a system for them from scratch. But, we felt the commercial system was preferable because of the time it would take to build such a system. The business would suffer in the interim.

Custom Warranty Management System
We built a custom warranty system for a Phoenix-based resort home builder.
The application greatly simplifies the process of dealing with customer warranty requests and subcontractors, making the home builder more efficient and offering their customers a better experience.
The application pulls development and property information from their ERP system.
It allows them to manage service requests and work orders for all their subcontractors.
It allows home owners to manage their own service requests.
And, the application sends purchase orders into the builder's Sage 300 accounting system.

Northern Oilheat Research Alliance
NORA is the certification for oil and propane technicians in the Northeastern United States.
We developed a custom certification application to manage their members' certification status.
The logic was complex enough that even after 20 years, the NORA CEO was unsure how he wanted to handle some cases.

RV Compound Management System
This application runs the entire operation for an RV compound with 5000 spaces. It allows the team to create new accounts, to manage contacts and vehicles, to invoice customers, and to accept payments. It also allows the guard to ensure that members are only accessing vehicles that they are authorized to use.

Customer Portal for Auto Repossession
This is an application that allows car dealers and finance companies to submit assignments for repossessing and remarketing vehicles they have financed.
The application provides secure data uploads and the ability for the end customers to manage their assignment portfolios in addition to providing significant reporting capabilities.
The application makes our customer more efficient when accepting assignments and makes it easier for them to manage communication with customers. It is also a service that helps them differentiate themselves from other repossession and remarketing firms.

Custom CRM and Proposal Builder
This application was built as a sales tool for a Phoenix-based artificial turf installation company. It allows them to easily progress leads through their funnel and to build professional proposals.
The application allows them to track leads and pass them from a call center to sales reps and then to project coordinators.
It provides a dashboard that allows sales reps to easily follow up on existing opportunities and allows management to see the entire funnel.
And, it allows sales reps to create and print professional proposals that they can provide to customers.
When proposals are accepted, the application passes the client and proposal information into QuickBooks so that the company can invoice the end customer.

Learning Management System for Compliance Training Firm
"They’ve allowed us to be a true competitor in the industry. We would have gone out of business without them."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an SVP of Exchange Analytics. We provide compliance training to the securities and derivatives industries. Although we’re small, we’re a nice provider of some required regulatory courses (compliance training) that these firms need to take. We’re the dominant provider in the industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with DHx Software?
Our training is delivered online like most compliance training. We started in 1996 when the internet was still coming on, and we decided our training should be on the internet. There weren’t standardized learning management systems (LMS) at the time, so we built our own. That immediately had to be replaced since we built it for Netscape Navigator, as 90% of internet users back then used Netscape. That new system served most of our purposes for about 10 years, but it was expensive to build and maintain. LMSs are now standardized, so we realized it would be more cost-effective to license a system rather than use our own home-built system.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The solution has most of the features that we like, and they’re constantly upgrading it. They also have a technician based in India, and I’m very used to working with offshore resources. I’m used to having a need and seeing that need coded that evening, and they do that for me.
The system we licensed has become a wonderful asset for me. It’s secure; we haven’t had any problems, and it’s been stable for all but nine hours over the years. They’ve been all over me with support when I need it.
What is the team composition?
I work with Jim and Bruce (Managing Partner). They’re both high-energy people.
How did you come to work with DHx Software?
We found DHx through a service like Clutch where they were listed. I called a number of different vendors and DHx called me back. I talked to Jim (Managing Partner), and he was very enthusiastic. He seemed to really listen to and understand my problems. His solution was to use one of the products they were reselling.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent somewhere around $250,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since July 2016.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve allowed us to be a true competitor in the industry. We would have gone out of business without them. You have to keep up with technology and have a robust enough system to pass the information security requirements of a large financial institution, which is not a low hurdle.
We’ve been extremely happy with the relationship. Signing with them was a very, very good decision. I could have licensed a system that probably would have performed just as well as what we chose, but it wouldn’t have allowed me to have my own installation of the software. The other alternative is a SaaS model where I wouldn’t be hosting the solution on my own servers. The latter wouldn’t be acceptable to some of our large financial institution clients since they don’t want their data to mingle with other data sources.
How did DHx Software perform from a project management standpoint?
I was reluctant at first but they soothed my concerns. They worked closely with the solution’s in-house support team as they resold it. We’ve been working with them for over four years now and I can say that they’re wonderful in terms of relationships and supporting it. They’re always willing to be available.
What did you find most impressive about them?
If they learn something about our technology from one of their other clients, they’ll call me and explain it so we can benefit from it as well. They also have a lot of integrity, so if they thought our system wasn’t the right one for us they would tell me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wouldn’t change anything about the way they operate.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Talk to existing clients first. When you talk to DHx, listen very carefully and explain your needs in a detailed way.

Learning Management System Dev for Pediatric Health Org
"Their speed in responding is so much better than my previous experiences with other vendors."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the program manager for a pediatric health organization.
What challenge were you trying to address with DHx Software?
We needed to create an educational platform that was interactive and easier to manage than the previous one.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped create a new Learning Management System. They used the Amazon platform for ease of use.
The site is intended to teach people across the world how to care for patients with congenital hearts, lessening the global opportunity discrepancy. There are interactive features, allowing people to explore different parts of the body, such as a ventricle. There are also testing questions, many of which are custom-built.
The system allows us to troubleshoot, load material, create reports, and more with minimal need for assistance from the DHx Software team.
There is the ability for other institutions to create their own learning space and curriculum within the platform, partnering with us. Our editors around the world can go into the system and add content, as well.
What is the team composition?
My two points of contact are Bruce (Managing Partner) and Jim (Managing Partner).
How did you come to work with DHx Software?
I searched online and interviewed multiple companies. This was the only company that checked all the boxes of what we were looking for.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested roughly $200,000. We have a $100,000 per year agreement.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in April 2018, and it is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
5,062 learners have signed up for the site in the past year. We only had 1,800 users with the previous system. We have roughly 35 institutions that are using our platform for their teaching. There has been a fantastic response to the webinars we hold on the site. People have been impressed with the system when we go present at national seminars.
The team at DHx Software was patient and helped us understand what we needed and wanted. They’re also effective and efficient when we need their help troubleshooting something.
How did DHx Software perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re responsive, fixing issues quickly. They are good at keeping us on task, and on schedule. We touch base weekly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their speed in responding is so much better than my previous experiences with other vendors. They offer choices to us and suggest what they see as the best one, even if it’s the cheaper option.
They have taught me so much, including the importance of not over-customizing. It has been great working with them, and I plan to maintain the relationship.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not that I can think of.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They are great to work with, especially if you are new to the space and don’t fully understand it. They’re good at asking the right questions to determine your need.
Delivering critical business value and software security, DHx Software has become an ongoing partner. Their object advice and proactive communication about solution upgrades are notable. Customers can expect a supportive team that prioritizes constant availability.
