We’ve had an excellent experience and they exceed our expectations. I knew they’d be good but I didn’t know they’d be so great in every single area, from the most modern designs to the excellent functionalities of the site. Everything is excellent.

How did Devlights perform from a project management standpoint?

We have very fluid communication. They’re always available and we have meetings every week. Whenever we need to consult about something with them, they are there. They are also very punctual with the schedule and meet every deadline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their availability and resources make them stand out. Sometimes it’s hard to find developers that adapt to the client’s needs, but they always do. They are always available, professional, and committed.

I honestly can’t think of anything.

I work for a public program that helps to provide healthcare to those who lack health insurance coverage. We have 500,000 beneficiaries in the province of Corrientes. We provide these services so people can receive the healthcare appropriate for their age and gender. I’m the IT coordinator, and we develop systems, internally or with the help of consultants for registration and billing processes.

We needed help to transition from a manual billing system to an online system for 280 clinics.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed an online billing system that allows us to include all of the services provided by the clinics. It also allows us to manage appointments and cancellations. They used .NET and an SQL Server. The development is close to being finished.

What is the team composition?

The team has three people.

They were recommended by a friend who works in the IT sector as well.

How much have you invested in them?

The whole project cost around 1.9 million Argentine pesos (approximately $64,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them last year. They will continue working the rest of this year and part of next year.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The results have been tremendously positive. This is a complex project as it is part of the public sector and has a particular logic that is hard to understand. They understood the concept clearly and quickly and were able to create the product according to our needs without struggling with concepts. Historically, it has been difficult for us to find firms that understand how we work, but Devlights is exceptional.

How did Devlights perform from a project management standpoint?

They used STRAP. We had meetings every 15 days to review progress and set goals. In general, it was great. Our program coordinator and I are happy with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their project manager understood the concept of our project immediately which enabled us to start working on the design right away. He showed a lot of professionalism and was always open to changes, and that was very positive. Being a public company, it’s hard for programmers who work mostly with private companies to understand as we have a dramatically different way of functioning.

We're a nonprofit based in Argentina. Employees provide psychopedagogy services for couples and groups, focusing on personal growth and interpersonal relations, and part of our income goes to the organization. They built a management to process information, track individuals’ work, and generate statistics. This system allows professionals across the country to upload information about their activities. Since we have internal classifications, the organization needed a custom system to follow up on work and determine payments.

We were in touch with several people. I'm not sure if anyone else was involved.

How did you come to work with Devlights?

I had worked with them before in my previous job, where we developed a website with the company founder. They also worked with a mutual friend who said they were doing a great job. When this project came up, I thought of them. After I contacted them, they gave us a good budget, so we decided to work with them

We worked with them from July 2016 to March 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We can register all the information we need in a much easier, more user-friendly way. That was very important since not everyone involved in the organization has great technical skills. At first we had some issues with the speed of the system, but their improvements were very attentive. Now the speed is great.

Our organization is international, with a presence in many countries. Professionals from other countries have asked us about our system and are interested in using it, so it may soon be used in other Latin American countries.

The project was difficult because we had a very unique organization system. It was hard for us to clarify our needs, since we aren't well-versed in technology. However, they were always willing to listen.

Using C# on a .NET SQL Server, they helped develop an interface between our legacy application and a ticketing software for client calls and support teams.

I chose Devlights because they didn’t try to push us to buy a product. There was no sales pitch or pressure. It was actually quite nice.

We spent between $5,000–$10,000 for this project.

The project started in March 2018 and development lasted about three weeks. I just signed them on for another project, starting in the next few days.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They deliver high-quality work. Every evening, the developer brought the code back for us to go through. It was very organized and clean. They made sure that everything was refactored properly for easy reading and documentation purposes.

How did Devlights perform from a project management standpoint?

The management was really on my end. I was able to lead the developer, and there was ease of communication between us. We worked well together. They use an agile method with scrums. They were always available for a phone call if needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Devlights always made sure that things were done on time. If we needed something to get done, they never used an excuse about it being the end of the day or something like that. The time zone is surprisingly convenient. They're only an hour off of Michigan time even though they’re based in Argentina.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It's probably a regional thing, but sometimes their internet will cut out for over a day.

At the time of the project, he was Head of the Systems Area of the Information Technology Department of the Provincial Road Administration, a state entity in charge of road works and conservation of the provincial road network, management of state funds and everything related to the operation of the institution in terms of county infrastructure.

Devlights was contracted to develop customized software that meets the needs of managing public funds distributed to the Road Consortium Associations distributed throughout the province. Said solution should allow administration of funds, reports, statistics and management of works carried out by the Road Consortiums.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

As a software company it is recognized locally, in addition to knowing the quality of professionals that make it up. They showed a lot of commitment and responsibility when the project was proposed.

It began with a survey of the current operation, administrative processes and prioritizing the basic functionalities. A lot of time was dedicated to knowing specifically the work of each area involved in the process. They presented a proposal for a web software solution in C#, MySQL database, MVC 5 web platform that would be hosted on a local server.

The project consisted of 4 modules attending to different needs. Fulfilling the estimated term of the first delivery, we had the system working, with data migration of the systems that were replaced. Then, two more deliveries were proposed to complete the functionalities that we wanted. To date, they provide us with support in case of incidents and the web system is operational.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We managed to launch the project and put into operation a system that completely replaced outdated buggy software without losing any information in the process. Among the positive factors we find:

• The design of the solution saved 80% of the administrative work of the Treasury department
• Processes for importing bank files were developed in which 99% user intervention only controls the format
• Reduced by 70% the errors produced by uploading user manuals in the distribution of funds to the 108 Road Consortiums
• Allows you to obtain reports instantly that were previously done manually
• Clean information ordered, a cleaning of the old databases was carried out

The project management is very agile, we use emails and documents shared in Drive, the feedback was always very fluid and the responses quick.

We contacted them through LinkedIn and after a meeting we decided that Devlights was what we needed to carry out our project. The factors are simple, we saw people committed to their work, very responsible and eager to face the challenge

Scope: Manage checks issued for payments to suppliers and checks received from customers. The solution had to be able to determine at all times the current balance available in money by validating the expiration dates of the checks. Additionally, since the volume of checks issued by the company in its normal operation is so large, it was necessary for the solution to provide a way to connect to a special printer that prints checks in a specific format.

the result was immediate once the system began to be used and the data loaded. It was a relief to have organized the payments, due dates for services, supplier invoices, invoices to be collected and to visualize a general balance of the movements month by month, such as fuel expenses of the vehicles destined for the works

The project management was great. They regularly met deadlines, and we never had unexpected turnovers. We communicated through Skype and email
