What challenge were you trying to address with Developer Bazaar Technologies?
We hired them to build a website for us from start to finish. After completion of the initial website build, there were some additional projects points we wanted completed that included integrating marketing tools, adding lead forms, some basic SEO functionality etc. which we then paid an additional amount for.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided an end-end solution to help us achieve the website we wanted, that overall, we are very happy with. We had some misunderstandings around the scope and completion of the additional work we contracted them with, which has since been resolved.
How has the team composition changed?
The team is the same.
How did you come to work with Developer Bazaar Technologies?
We selected them via an online vendor after having short-listed and interviewed them from various other web design agencies.
How much have you invested with them?
USD 1200 for the initial build and USD 300 for the additional project work.
What is the status of this engagement?
There are a couple of points on the additional project work outstanding, but we have agreed this will be completed soon
How has your relationship with the vendor evolved?
As per the original review, we were very pleased with the outcome of the original website build. But as highlighted, dealing with a team in another country where there is a language gap, does at times present challenges, so it does require a lot of instruction and project management.
But they were always courteous, professional, and responsive. In terms of the additional engagement, we originally felt frustrated about various things, but the team have since reached out to us to address our concerns and to make sure everything will be completed as agreed.

Having an online presence via a new, modern website is something we are ultimately very happy with.
How was project management handled?
The original website build was well handled, but there was a communication gap around the scope of the additional work, which has now been resolved.
Are there any areas of improvement?
Communication and agreeing parameters and work in full in advance. At least they have now reached out and made amends.

We hired developer bazaar to design a new website for us.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We did online research and conducted a few interviews. They were very enthuiastic and their price was attractive.

Design the website from start to finish. A brief was provided to them. We had a call to discuss and then ongoing comms was conducted via whatsapp.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Approximately 3-4. The project manager and 2-3 developers.
RESULTS/FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
In the end very happy with the overall design of the website. But it did take a lot of back and forth and having to repeat points to be done and tasks to complete. Got there in the end but the journey did not always feel easy.

Feedback was always provided and conducted via a whatsapp group. But as per above - there was a lot of repetition, having to repeat points and sometimes struggling to get the point across around what we were trying to achieve and what needs to be done. So it did at times feel like hard work because there was a communication gap.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
In the end we got a website we were happy with - but it took a lot of work to get there. And promises made at outset around deliverables, like including basic SEO functionality for pages were never delivered on. To their credit - the changes we asked for on the way, they did make. But then you would also expect that if you're not entirely happy with an original design or functionality.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They tried very hard to upsell their services and once the basic website was done, some additional points we asked for were difficult to get completed (which should have been part of the original job). They then tried very hard to ask for a bonus (to the point of harrassment) and became unpleasant to deal with. Even though we ended up paying them an additional USD 300 above the initial agreed price to get some more basis things completed (which they never did).
Overall, the feeling is now one of disappointment, and unfortunately can't recommend them. Even asking for a final invoice to reflect full payment for services rendered is something they have been unwilling to provide.

I searched online through upwork and selected Bazaar Tech based on their expertise, value and willingness to listen and understand the project fully.

We had a kick off call that included the major functionalities that I needed for the MVP. With some discussion we added a few features into the plan. We setup discreet milestones along the way which was a good idea. This was a 10+ week project and when delays arose the team communicates well and fixes issues quickly.

About 5 people worked on this project. All seemed to be engineers. I had the most contact with Ravi, Naved, and Vaibhav and they were all very professional.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The deliverables were within the range of expectations for the mvp. Good value for the end product.

Communication was done through google meets and whattsapp. Given the time difference in time zone (9.5 hours) texts were most common. Both Ravi and I were flexible with google meetings when necessary.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They seem to have specialists for everything.

Communication was good but can always be better. Let clients know or remind them about upcoming holidays (Diwali) where staff will not be working.

They designed and customized our website using a carefully selected WordPress theme and provided recommendation that aligned with our business model and operating model.
We commenced the project with a series of workshops and working sessions between both teams. This included mobilization, exploratory and discovery workshop.
This now moved to a requirement and customer journey workshop where they worked with our information architect to design user flow across our website.
We now leveraged an agile delivery framework starting from discovery, alpha and beta to live service. We deployed Jira as our collaboration tool between both teams to develop our site, scheduling 2 weekly sprints for the duration of 8 weeks.
Both teams also used Jira to store and publish the project artefacts - wireframes, requirements, user stories and contents The solution was deployed on our IaaS Go-daddy Wordpress platform.

We hired developer bazaar to create the platform for both the web and the app. Our goal is to get a minimum viable product to show the public and pivot until finally we get the final product. For this we hired developer bazaar since in addition to having a great team they have the necessary skills to help us develop said product.

I selected this provider because I read good references, besides they guaranteed me that I could pay them according to the progress of the project.

We have started creating the app, and it has taken us the longest. Every week we do a minimum of 2 meetings to see how the progress is going. As the main functions of the app are being fulfilled, they send me the app so that I can test it and give it my feedback. This is how we have been doing so far. When we finish the app, we will start with the web and as soon as we finish the web, we will retouch the designs.

There are mainly a few on the team but I have only dealt with Arpit, Vaivhab, and a programmer whose name I do not remember. The roles could not tell either.

I cannot comment on my project because we have not finished yet, we are working on it. But during the course I have learned a lot from these guys, and they have helped me clarify things that I was not clear about about the project. This shows the empathy they have.

The tools we use to get in touch is; - Google meets. - Whatsapp. - Truelancer.com The times vary depending on whether that week I have a lot of work or not, but we try to hold at least 2 meetings per week, and if we need something urgent we call each other directly on the phone.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I'm most impressed with their empathy and helpfulness. I started this project without having a clue about the web, apps, programming, etc. But they helped me a lot to get into this world and above all explain things to me easily so that I understand. Not all freelancers do. I was also impressed by their involvement and concern in the project, in the times that I have had downturns, they have encouraged and supported me.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Yes, they could improve in the speed of delivery of updates in the project, there are times when they have a lot of work and it takes a while to make these updates.
The client was pleased with the outcome of the original website build. and described the vendor as courteous, professional, and responsive.
