Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the Senior Ecommerce Platform Manager at Jack Williams Tire. We are building a platform for all our e-commerce brands to optimize our brands by growing in an innovative and profitable way.

For what projects/services did your company hire Designed by Cats?

We hired the Design by Cats team because of their expertise with Ecommerce UI/UX design. For this specific brand, JACK Mobile Tire, we already had a quickly built site in order to gain knowledge around product-market fit. We were lacking the ability internally to take that next step and make our UX/UI a bit more robust and create an experience for our customers to change the way they buy and schedule tire installations.

How did you select this vendor?

There are plenty of UI designers that we have worked with or are available in the market. I was in search of a partner to shape our future by creating a UX that was more engaging and would not only keep our existing customers coming back but also appeal to new prospective customers.

We evaluated 3 items in selecting Designed By Cats:

1. Ecommerce UI/UX Experience
2. Process to engage with our internal staff and existing customers of the platform
3. Knowledge of UI/UX principles and trends

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Designed by Cats started with business analysis and design discovery where they helped us build the visual aspects of our platform. From there, they designed the brand guidelines, style guides, sitemap, wireframes and customer personas. Once we had locked down the customer personas and the user journey, the Designed by Cats team started to build the designs/prototypes in Figma for each detail of our Adobe Commerce site for desktop, tablet and mobile.

As designs were approved by our business unit leaders, Designed by Cats handed off the full details to our internal development team and stayed engaged with the team through the build process. Finally, providing the final visual QA and sign-off that the development team implemented the vision as expected.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Designed by Cats had a UX Analyst and UI Designer working directly with our Ecommerce and Marketing teams.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The UX/UI was the critical foundation for the success of relaunching this mobile tire installation experience. Buying tires online is not an easy or widely trusted process as it can be overwhelming for many customers. The early feedback we have been receiving is the ease of finding tires/services and booking their appointments, all online. Conversion Rates have been improving and we expect to continue to see this trend upward. The Designed by Cats team were able to turn our vision into reality.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We started by planning an effective schedule to meet our internal team's schedule and allow for the proper flow of deliverables. We meet weekly for virtual working sessions and collaborated on all elements in Figma. We were able to start our development process sooner than we expected based on the iterative process they follow.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The ability of their team to quickly understand our business model and the challenges faced in the industry. They quickly engaged and learned our business in order to build the best possible experience. The UX Analyst had the unique ability to put the team at ease through all aspects of the project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No issues, and we continue to work with Designed by Cats on our other brands as we move to a unified Ecommerce platform.

What were your goals for this project?

Establish credibility as an influencer with a professional blog and expand our social media presence.

How did you select this vendor?

After interviewing many vendors in Lebanon, a friend recommended Designed by Cats. Working with a U.S. agency seemed like a good choice as it was hard to find trustworthy and reputable agencies locally. We interviewed with Saige Fraiha, and found that she was very understanding of the needs of an influencer.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Designed by Cats managed the launch of our website and Marketing. They designed our logo and marketing material. They then launched our new blog and handed over a fully functional website in a matter of days.

They also assisted with the launch of our social media, and digital advertising, and provided an editor who helped ensure our blogs were properly vetted for grammar.

What was the team composition?

They provided a designer, advertising specialist, and an editor.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The new website is much faster than what we had previously. It also loads very fast, which is important since our market in Lebanon is primarily using smart phones for browsing.

At the time that I started working with Designed by Cats my followers on instagram had been at 70k for a few months without significant growth. Following the launch I reached 100k followers within 3 months.

Have also been getting more serious offers for collaboration in recent months now that we have a professional blog.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication was persistent and professional. They answered all my questions and launched things faster than I could have expected. I've had other firms leave me in the dark for weeks wondering what the status was - but I never had that feeling with Designed By Cats.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Again, the communication. I always felt there was good progress, but also when I just needed advise or perspective they were willing to educate me in order to help make the launch more effective, and sustainable in the long term.
