For what projects/services did your company hire Derave Software, and what were your goals?
Our first main goal was to update our e-learning platform to the more up to date standards while introducing some of the self-service features to smoothen our sales funnel. Currently, we continue to work together on maintenance and further development of the platform.

How did you select Derave Software and what were the deciding factors?
Derave Software was recommended to me by a colleague and I was really impressed with the approach that they showed. It’s not easy to take over legacy code together with the responsibility but thanks to the prior analysis Derave Software managed to gain my confidence as being a good match for this project. I valued their startup experience and the good delivery process that they’ve suggested for this type of project.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
During the years of existence our platform gathered a lot of data which led to degrade in performance. Derave Software helped us to increase overall performance of the platform We have noticed that a lot of our users wanted to use the platform on their mobile devices. Unfortunately the platform wasn’t adjusted to that.
Derave Software made the platform friendly for our mobile users Security was always among our key aspects to look after and we wanted a partner that could help us with the audit and patching of the existing solution.
Derave Software has reviewed and updated our security measures to match today’s standards. Ecommerce part of the platform required a new payment gateway. With help of Derave Software we have introduced a new payment provider and automated process of giving users access to e-learning courses when payment is successful.
We also automated our sales process by implementing remarketing campaigns which lead to more recurring sales and better contact with regular customers. Our current data driven system automatically sends campaigns to selected client’s segments.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team consisted of one PM, two software engineers and QA specialists. The team helped with the development for backend, frontend and mobile.

We experienced a higher rate of mobile traffic and we had 47% more e-learning participants using mobile devices to use the platform. We experienced decreased average response time by 34% Improved performance of tasks done by the back-office team by more than 120% enabling them to use the saved time for more productive activities.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We had personal close contact with the team throughout the process. The process was well defined and easy to follow. We received frequent updates about the progress made and had transparency provided by direct access to the team and tools used.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were engaged and took ownership of our legacy code with confidence after doing prior in-depth analysis. It saved us a lot of money because other vendors suggested a complete rewrite instead of trying to salvage what was already on the platform.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There were small parts that we miscommunicated about the expectations but the team from Derave Software was quick to try to amend those within the next release cycle.
